My (now) husband and I worked with Carissa for our engagement shoot, my boudoir shoot, and our wedding day.
Carissa is kind, timely, and professional. She goes above and beyond for her clients. She makes you laugh during the photo shoots which give you the best smiles and photos! Carissa has a quick turn around for sneak peak photos and your entire photo album. She’s quick to respond to email and text messages.
We can’t wait to work with her for our family photo shoots in the future. We highly recommend Carissa!!! -

Carissa Woo’s work speaks for itself, with all the amazing photography and videography you can view on her website and social media. When it came time to planning our wedding, it was without hesitation that we reached out to Carissa. Her energetic and professional approach put us at ease right from the jump.
We started with our engagement shoot in West LA, where Carissa and her team took us on a fun tour of amazing backdrops. Being photographed for hours can be quite a tiring and self-conscious experience, but we ended the day feeling so excited to get married. She brought so much fun, energy and warmth out of us.
Our wedding day was quite the marathon, with a tea ceremony in the morning, wedding party photos during the day and the wedding in the late afternoon / evening. Carissa and her team's energy never wavered, keeping us going and capturing all the unforgettable moments we can cherish forever. Weddings being typically a stressful experience, Carissa and her team moved seamlessly throughout the ceremony and reception.
A true testament to the quality of Carissa's work is that we cannot stop looking through the photo gallery and videos. They say your wedding day flies by, which we can say that it truly did. We are so incredibly glad that Carissa and her team were the ones who captured our special day so we can relive that day for the rest of our lives. They captured the true emotion, happiness and magic of everyone there.

Carissa and her team were absolutely amazing! Carissa did our engagement and wedding photography and she literally cannot take a bad photo. Each and every photo is a beautiful moment and memory and she was able to capture it all, literally didn’t miss anything, so we can cherish these photos and memories forever. Carissa is a true professional and in working with her it’s so clear that she knows exactly what she’s doing and on top of that she makes it SO fun!! She livens up the group and us to create stunning, epic photos. No one feels awkward or looks awkward- all of the photos capture the true energy and liveliness! She made it so easy our wedding day because we trusted her skill, creativity, and eye for the perfect photos. Also the entire process leading up to the engagement shoot and wedding were both so seamless because she’s communicative, organized and prepares you on what to wear, bring, etc. We absolutely loved her energy and couldn’t imagine our wedding day without her! -

Out of all the photographers I reached out to for quotes, Carissa was the only one that reached out to talk over the phone. She got to know who I am and what I was looking for in a photography/videography team. She worked with our budget and was able to stagger her shooting time with the other photographer so we could have more coverage time for our wedding. She was able to capture well posed photos as well as the candid ones, directing with ease without being bossy. My main goal was to get all the obligatory shots with our loved ones and with the scenery as quickly as possible so that we could also be present and enjoy our time together with our guests. It was a snap because Carissa and her team had worked our locations before and were efficient. Speaking of efficiency, the sneak peak photos were delivered the day after the wedding and we received everything pretty quickly. Carissa Woo Photography made everything user friendly -- not only did we get a USB drive of all of our photos, but an online gallery where we could view/download the photos via zip drives. The invoices were able to be paid all online as well. Carissa is easygoing and very sweet. She even sent us "Mr." and "Mrs." mugs along with our photos. We had an INCREDIBLE DAY with Carissa Woo :) She is so easy to work with and guided us through every step of the day. The photos were beautiful, natural and our personality shined through. She took time to get a sense who we are as a couple and made suggestions that would bring out our love for each other. The engagement shoot and wedding day photo shoots were so much fun. My bridal party were able to be themselves in front of the camera and Carissa captured the perfect moments -

Carissa truly spoiled us with so much love and beautiful talent. Time and time again she brings her energy, warm smile and amazing team to help deliver and this time it was for my very own wedding.
Looking back I couldn't imagine anyone else shooting my wedding and I'm so endlessly thankful for all of her time that she spent to give us such a wonderful experience throughout the planning process, our engagement shoot and all throughout our wedding day.

Hilary Sent on 12/19/2013Carissa Woo is an amazing wedding photographer. We met over coffee just once but my husband and i felt extremely comfortable with her light hearted manner. She is extremely easy to work with and makes the wedding photograph process fun and delightful. Her pictures brought tears to my eyes when i viewed them for the first time - tears of joy! I definitely recommend Carissa as she is flexible, easy to work with and a beautiful photographer. -

And wait until you meet her in person, she's so warm and funny. You feel so relaxed and comfortable with her that you sometimes forget that she's there. Her vision is unexplainable, she'll shoot you in a place that you would have no idea is anything special, then it will turn into one of the most fabulous pictures you can think of!! Her photography is bright and colorful (which I love)!! My wedding party was also a little rowdy, which wasn't an issue for her at all. Love her! She's my life photographer and will use her to photograph ever monumental event in my life :) -

Kimberly Sent on 09/11/2012We love Carissa Woo Photography! From our initial meetings, Carissa made us feel very comfortable. She showed us samples of prior weddings she had shot and helped us with suggestions for our timeline of our reception, which was truly helpful in creating a smooth flowing program.
On our wedding day, Carissa was prompt and professional. With so much going on and getting pulled in so many directions, she was assertive but very respectful and professional. One of the benefits of our initial meetings was that she gained a sense of our personalities ahead of time which came through in the shots on the wedding day. She clearly explained what she wanted in each shot and was able to capture a range from lighthearted to beauty and sophistication.
Carissa has always been prompt in her follow up and deadlines. She seamlessly integrated herself with our other vendors and adapted well when inevitably things don’t go exactly as scheduled. She really captured the beauty of our venue and the day as a whole. Just days into our honeymoon, she emailed a link to her blog with photos of our wedding so we could relive the memories/moments of our most special day. Then, at a later date, we received another link to all of the photos that were taken throughout the whole day with the option of forwarding the link to family and friends so they could admire and order prints, as well. A month later, as the contract stated, we received our photo disc. Even the packaging was so nice and professional!!! Just a couple of weeks after that, we met with Carissa to talk about our wedding album design. To our amazement we had already received an email with a sample of what our album layout would look like within one week!!! It was gorgeous! Carissa really has a special eye and creative ability of capturing those moments! We can’t say enough fabulous things about Carissa. We are completely honored to have had her as our photographer and now consider her a great friend.

**Organized-she asked us for a list of photos and people we wanted and executed this perfectly on the wedding day
**Fun and creative- I always have the same look in every photo and I'm camera shy- she gave up examples of different poses and made us laugh to give us amazing natural photos.
**Special effects- she does great editing i.e I had a friend holding my veil and Carissa edited out my friend and it looks magical!
**Works fast- I was surprised to see my how fast I received my photos online and a cool looking CD that she had costumed with our picture on it
**Best personality and works great under pressure
Carissa is simply the best! You will have so much fun taking pictures! The best decision I made for our wedding! -

A photographer was the toughest vendor for me to find for my wedding. It was the only thing I didn't have any referals for. I found Carissa at a Bridal Expo and once I saw her portfolio of work, I was confident I was in good hands! Everything turned out wonderful!
