We didn't have any direct contact with Capital Party Rentals, our planner took care of all of this. But the setup was extremely beautiful and problem free. Even though we didn't get to meet them personally, we couldn't have been happier.

Overall, Capital Party was very easy to work with. At times, they were a little slow in responding to e-mails for phone calls, but I am someone that likes a response right away. We had to make multiple changes to our order in the months before the wedding, but they were very flexible in accommodating those changes.
When they came to drop off, they only really set up the tent and dance floor and left everything else just under the tent. We would have liked if they could have at least setup the tables and maybe chairs, but it wasn't the end of the world that they didn't. Overall we were satisfied with their service, but there is some room for improvement in customer service.

Our wedding planner works with Capital Party Rentals on a regular basis and so we were able to rent chivari chairs at a really fantastic price. They were timely, and looked fantastic in the reception. They truly made a huge difference in the overall look of our wedding.

I worked with Margaret at Capital Party Rentals. She was a pleasure to work with and very, very accommodating of my requests. I rented square 5' tables for the reception and table linens. Margaret was helpful and knowledgable about room designs, considerations you should take into account when selected tables (center piece, abilty of your guests to talk across the table, look and feel in the room, etc.). She also helped me track down just the right shade of purple that I was looking for, for my table linens. She sent a sample table setting to my food tasting so I could see a the complete look...something I really appreciated since I am a visual person.
Everything was delivered on-time and in good condition. I would use Capital Party Rentals again for an event in the future.

Unfortunately, our wedding venue site had contracted with Capital Party Rentals to do all the tents associated with our location, so we didn't have any other options. (We had options for everything else, though.)
Wow, where do I start? I don't know if the staff is wildly over-worked, over-booked, or just not good at what they do, but it was like pulling teeth to get Jodi to call me back, write me back, or just respond in any way when I contacted her. I called to get a quote on tables and chairs so I could compare apples to apples with caterers (some who could do tables and chairs, some who could not), and never got a call back. I called to say I wanted to meet with the rep at a bridal show they were listed as attending (which was not exactly close to my house) and I never got a call back and then got to the show only to find out their literature was in attendance but they were not. I had been trying since March to get a contract with Capital in hand, and due to the inability to respond or pull together a correct contract on the part of Capital (I went through four iterations of the same contract with Jodi, each time finding errors that needed to be fixed or prices adjusted), I only received a correct contract 6 WEEKS before my Aug. 20 wedding. Talk about stressing out a bride. Then, TWO DAYS BEFORE the wedding, I get a call saying my tent layout would have to be altered because it had just been made known that the support poles for the tent would encroach on where we had positioned the dance floor, which we also rented from Capital. Wouldn't this have been good to know, I don't know, when I SIGNED THE CONTRACT? And then, the kicker, was the morning after my wedding. I get a call on my cell phone at 7:45 a.m. and thinking that absolutely no one would dare call me the morning after my wedding unless it was an absolute emergency, I pick it up. It was the Capital Party Rentals crew telling me they were having trouble getting into the event site to break down the tent. When I told them I couldn't help them, they seemed confused. Apparently, my number had been listed for them as the contact number in case of problems like this. When I told them that, they were mortified. Score another one for Jodi. In sum, they were wildly unprofessional, very rarely if ever called back, and I had to get the site coordinator involved just to get some pretty simple frickin' answers. If they're a good value, I wouldn't know, because we weren't given any other option, but I'd say if you have a choice, go with someone else. I suppose Capital didn't feel compelled to work with me in a timely manner because they knew I couldn't work with anyone else, but for that reason, I found them rude, unprofessional, and not worth working with. Everything got where it needed to be in the end, but overall, it was a horrible, stressful experience.

We were required to rent a tent for our venue. Capital Party Rentals had a custom tent, so we contacted them. I can't say enough good things about this company!
For starters, we did a site visit with snow and ice on the ground. Also, the staff were incredibly helpful - I never waited more than 24 hours for an email response or more than a couple of days for invoice changes to take effect. We had a lot of changes...I mean A LOT (up until the very last minute)...and Aisha never complained and got it done. I wasn't there when the tent was set up and the linens/tables/chairs were delivered. However, everything was exactly as we agreed when I arrived and I didn't get an additional bill from the venue, so I know it was all taken down within an hour of the reception ending. If you need to rent a tent, tables, chairs, china, silverware, etc. I think this is your best bet!

Lynn Clay was the one to help me with the rental of chairs for my wedding. They were folding white chairs and they looked lovely. Clean, not rickety, very white. I was able to barter the price based on booking early and the number of chairs I rented. Lynn was extremely responsive to all of me emails and never kept me waiting. She was even flexible with the number of chairs I picked up - I paid for 120 to get the deal, but I was able to only pick up 105 chairs for my 100 guests. I was glad that they were so flexible and let me pick up fewer chairs. I can't speak for their delivery system as we picked up and dropped off the chairs to save money.

We were very happy with the tent we rented. They sent someone out ahead of time to check out the area, everything was set up and taken down on time and it was beautiful!

This is an extremely dishonest and an absolutely horrendous company - if you need linen rentals for your special event, avoid Capital Party Rentals like the plague. They supplied us with dirty, stained, unlaundered tablecloths for our wedding day. The guest tablecoths all had very noticeable black circles on them and at least one of the ivory tablecloths for the sand ceremony had a large ketchup stain that my husband and the waitstaff had to try and hide. The linens were the only part of the wedding that was a huge disappointment. Although we have photos and several witnesses, including family, guests, and facility employees who not only saw the stains, but tried to remove them with water before the ceremony started, Capital Party Rentals refuses to accept resposibility and denies that the tablecloths they supplied were stained and dirty. If you ever have the misfortune of dealing with Gloria Rhodes, Capital Party Rentals' Director of Marketing and Partnerships, be forewarned that she is rude and unprofessional.
If you want your special event to leave a good impression with crisp, clean linens, do NOT go with Capital Party Rentals - they are the worst of the worst in this business.

This was an unusual experience. The tent liner, pole curtains and rice paper lamps were beautiful. We were very pleased. However...Capital Party Rentals was unresponsive for long periods of time. I had asked about the cost of a chandelier, which ended up being out of our price range, and they left it at that. When I called back to see if there were other lighting/decorating options, it ended up there were several. No idea why they didn't mention it earlier. They set up the day before the wedding and didn't have enough curtains, and the curtains they had were too short. They said that our venue had given them the wrong count and measurements...that may be true, but we also picked CPR because we knew they had done several events at our venue.

We chose Capital Party Rentals because they're the biggest and with the most selection in the area. Things started out pretty rough for us... and we ended up renting just the pole tent, pole drapes, lighting and dance floor through them. But I got to say that the one thing we most happy with is how great their pole tent, pole trapes, and lantern lighting turn out. It was absolutely beautiful! They also set up and break down the tent on time, so it was pretty smooth toward the end.
