Tammy is just amazing. We were pleased with all of the vendors we chose, after we did a lot of research on them, mostly from this site! Tammy is, as a person, very friendly. We got two whole cakes with our choice of flavor and filling. Both delicious. After we had decided to use her, we had the toughest time deciding on a design. Tammy worked with us and sent us several drawing via email over several months. After about six of them, we saw one and said- "That's it! That's our cake!" And, I wanted my cake to look "different," but not exactly sure how. I asked her if she could make it a hexagon, and she did! Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious. We had so many guests tell us how good it was, many of them surprised because wedding cake doesn't always taste as good as it looks! We are definitely happy with our decision to use her!

Tammy was incredible to work with and so friendly. She met with me and my husband and made so many tasty samples for us. We were originally thinking of another baker but once we tasted Tammy's cakes and got to know her we knew she was the one. She did an excellent job and I would definitely recommend her services.

Where to start... Tammy worked wonders for our day to be special from the very first day we met. She works with you to meet and then makes you two cakes to bring home to share with family and friends. However my Husband and I still were not sure which cake we wanted so she offered to make a third type for us to try. Thank goodness she did it was the Winner! She then met with us to discuss the design. All I can say is that you have a picture in your mind of what it will look like but WOW does she do an outstanding job! Still to this day ( 2 months later) every one of our guests comment on how beautiful and how awesome our cake was! Tammy is the way to go to make your special day complete.

WOW is all I can honestly say! Tammy was more than a dream to work with, not to mention she created the wedding cake of our dreams!!! My husband and I had been engaged for 14 months and had time to carefully plan our entire wedding to not only fit our taste, but budget as well. From the moment I contacted Tammy I could tell I was going to love working with her. What a personality she has! She honestly is so awesome to work with. When you go through wedding planning you find that not everyone is truly passionate, however, with Tammy, her passion for wedding cakes is contagious! Initially, my husband and I had ideas of what we would want our wedding cake to look like, but it took time to look through photos online and develop ideas, etc. We also were not sure what flavors we would like. Tammy provides you with a couple complimentary cakes to try for your tasting, however we decided to try a few extra at a small cost of $5 each additionally. (Years back, I had the opportunity to try wedding cakes at a local bakery, before I knew of Tammy of course, for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary, you got to sample small pieces and it was fun, but that was it, only small samples). When we took the 4 small cakes home to my fiances house, we had a nice night of trying out flavors time and time again, and had enough to have both sets of parents come over an try in addition. As our wedding got closer we finally narrowed down a wedding cake design, based off one we found online but with some changes to our own taste. However, literally 4-5 weeks before our wedding, we had a change of heart on the cake we chose and found another dream cake. Tammy was more than accommodating! She was willing to meet with us again to discuss the new cake we sent to her, and discussed creative details that she had, in addition to our own. Not to mention, that this new cake we chose involved ordering tons of gum paste flowers for the top, rhinestones and a rhinestone band. As we walked into our reception my mouth literally dropped when I saw our 5 tier ivory cake, only something I could have dreamed of! My husband and I were speechless! Our guests couldn't get over how gorgeous the cake was (and I understand I am biased of my own wedding, but it truly was the most stunning wedding cake I have ever seen)! We chose the raspberry swirl cake with the raspberry filling for our cake and it was just amazing! Just as good as when we tasted it - and again we received comments from our guests on how much they enjoyed it, as well! In addition, it was mentioned by numerous people working there that the cake could not have been budget friendly, when in fact, it honestly was. Choosing Tammy to make our wedding cake was the best choice we could have made and we are so appreciate of the care she took in what she did for us. Even our photographer used her a few years back and has wonderful things to say! (Once our cake is up on her website, it is the 5 tier ivory/white cake with luster spray, large gum paste flower top, with a swirled rhinestone design on each tier, with a monogram S). My advise to any bride is to contact Tammy, she will work with any of our ideas, budget, etc. Your wedding is supposed to be the best day of your life and Tammy will make sure your cake truly lives up to your expectations. Tammy was the first wedding cake baker/decorator we met with. We had other appointments lined up but cancelled them as soon as we met with her. She has a wonderful portfolio and is willing to work with any ideas that you have to make your cake how you want it. She listened, made suggestions, and then fully exceeded my expectations. Our cake could NOT have turned out more perfect or delicious. She even suggested using sheet cakes and keeping them in the back to keep the price down! It’s been 3 months and we are still receiving compliments on it, know other friends who want to use her after tasting and seeing our cake, and have been told by multiple people it is the best cake they’ve ever had! I can’t wait until October so we can eat our anniversary cake! Many, many thank Tammy!!!

Tammy was a joy to work with. She is constantly working with you until you get the end result that you wanted. I had so many people come up to me and tell me how wonderful our red velvet cake was!!!! I would definitely recommend Tammy and her prices are very affordable.

I have nothing but praise for Tammy and her AMAZING cakes! We had half spice cake with cream cheese buttercream filling and half white with almond amaretto filling. Both flavors were so amazing that we couldn't choose between them (and Tammy didn't charge us extra for splitting flavors!) Cakes by Tammy easily has the most beautiful, delicious, moist, and reasonably priced cakes in the area! I would recommend her to any bride looking for a beautiful custom designed cake without spending ”custom designed prices.”

Not only was our cake delicious, but it was beautiful. My guest have commented that it was coolest, most unique wedding cake they have ever seen. I would highly recommend.

Tammy was absolutely wonderful to work with, and her cake is DELICIOUS! We live out of town so planning a time to meet up with Tammy to sample her cake was difficult, but she was gracious enough to meet us in a non-traditional place, at a non-traditional time, and give us our sample cakes, which were fantastic. We actually asked Tammy to make our wedding cupcakes, and a gigantic cupcake for us to "cut." 3 different flavored cakes with 3 different flavored icings, PLUS the big guy on top. She was prompt, kind, wonderful, and very reasonably priced. I can't recommend Tammy enough!

After visiting with several bakeries, meeting with Tammy was a breath of fresh air. She was incredible to work with! Our cake was even more gorgeous than I imagined & it tasted as good as it looked. We've gotten so many complements on it!
Tammy really did everything possible to make this a great experience, from giving suggestions on where to find the cake topper I was looking for, to creative flavors (rasp swirl cake with rasp mousse & marble cake with choc Bavarian cream were our final picks) & a surprise groom's cake.
I plan to use Tammy in the future & highly recommend her!

Our wedding cake by Tammy was beautiful! Since I was a long distance bride, Tammy and I would e-mail each other back and forth. I sent her some pictures of what we were thinking and of course changed my mind a few times during the process. But, the cake turned out exactly as we imagined it to be! It was so beautiful and tasted wonderful. We would definitely recommend Cakes by Tammy to other brides in the Pittsburgh area!

Tammy was amazing! She gave us two generous cake samples to try when we were deciding on flavors (which were both _delicious_ and large enough to share with our families). The cake on the wedding day looked better than I could have hoped. Basically, I sent her photos of a bunch of cakes that I liked via email and she creatively combined them into one awesome dream cake! I keep looking at the pictures of it in shock because I can't believe how gorgeous it was! We also had lots of family tell us how great it tasted (I can't remember myself, as all I got was little bits that the groom shoved into my face :-/ haha). Can't wait for our 1 year anniversary to eat the top ! :)

I emailed her a picture of a cake that I was in love with and she made it even more beautiful than I could ever imagine! So many guests of ours said it was the most beautiful cake they have ever seen. They also complimented us on how moist and delicious it tasted. Even though Tammy was part of a package deal with our reception venue, I was 100% satisfied with her business. We were able to attend a cake tasting event early in the planning process and it was so much fun and relaxed and we could try so many combinations. She was flexible and understood everything we wanted and executed it perfectly (above and beyond what I imagined). The cake was SO delicious =) I can't wait to have more on my first anniversary!!

Prior to meeting in person for the first time, Tammy asked us to choose two cake and filling combinations that we'd like to try. She made two FULL-SIZED cakes that we took home to sample. They were amazing!

Our consultation was great - she showed us pictures and was able to give us exact price quotes as well as quotes for increased and decreased guest counts.

Throughout the months of planning, Tammy was easy to get in touch with via e-mail. She was receptive to modifications and changes to the decoration and/or cake flavors.

On the day of the wedding, I was blown away by the gorgeous, DELICIOUS cake. Even our guests remarked on how amazing the cake was.

Tammy was so wonderful to work with! Very responsive by email, which was so helpful! She definitely lets you know her thoughts on things, and I very much appreciated that! The cake was beautiful, elegant and classy as we had discussed. And the taste. WOW! It was the best cake I have ever tasted! After my first bite, I literally licked the plate clean – the icing was THAT good! Our guests still talk about how good the cake was. The LeMont banquet manager, Tony, even came up to me later that night and asked who did our cake because he said it was just so beautiful and he kept hearing about how good it tasted! All in all – she was wonderful!
