I was referred to Broussard Bakehouse by my original cake vendor, Judy at Apetito Catering (www.apetitocatering.com), after a family emergency just weeks before the wedding. Kara Broussard was a godsend. Not only did she quickly get all of the details from Judy in a short period of time, she changed our original idea a little bit and made the most beautiful 3 tiered cake I have ever seen, hand painting the layers so that they looked like aspen logs!
The cake itself was so delicious! Aside from the top layer being saved for me by the caterer, the guests ate just about every last bite of it. It was to die for, moist and not too sweet with the perfect amount of filling! We had two flavors: white cake with lemon filling and devil's food chocolate cake with Bavarian creme filling.
Broussard Bakehouse was so great, I will be using them for our son's birthday cake this month.
