Al and his team were truly amazing! All of my guests really enjoyed the food as well as the professionalism and presentation that Brick City gave. Brick City Catering helped my husband and I have the wedding of our dreams and we are very blessed to not only call Al our 'go to' for catering needs, but also a great friend! Brick City catered our wedding last night at Grand Oaks. Let me just say, as the bride I did not get to sit and eat a full meal but what i did eat was absolutely amazing. Chef Al took his time with our special dinner requests and he perfected it all. All of our guests were so impressed with the food and the service Chef Al and his staff had given.

Al and his team did a great job catering my wedding. I received a lot of complements on the food. It was delightful to have the food managed without me having to even give it a thought.

Chef Al, Irene and their amazing staff provided an array of delicious food for our holiday party. This is the second time we used Brick City, and this time was even better! Chef Al and his wife are both a pleasure to work with! Our chicken piccatta was delish. The homemade desserts including canolis, brownies, pecan delights and Italian Wedding Cookies were amazing. AL was amazing! From the very beginning when we were referred by our vendor, until after the reception, we knew we had made the right choice. Al made us feel very at ease, invited us to his location for samples, worked well with in our budget and supplied and amazing experience! There would be no one else in the Ocala FL area that we would even consider using.

Our event was a Winter Holiday Social Celebration for 80 guests and with just a little over 3 weeks before the scheduled event date, we still needed a caterer and Chef Al came to the rescue. He actually answered his telephone after hours that night and emailed me a suggested menu selection. We had all plans finalized in just a short time - a major relief of stress. The table settings were beautifully coordinated with our holiday theme. The food absolutely amazing! So many guests positively raved about the meal. Chef Al made it a point to visit each table which thrilled the guests to have such personal attention. The staff was outstanding ! Many guests commented about their professionalism, and how quickly and efficiently they served. Thanks to Chef Al and his crew, our private event was a huge success. I cannot say enough about Chef Al and Brick City Catering of Ocala, Florida. Al is a true professional and met our every need! Our event featured chicken breast in a cream sauce with dried pesto, artichokes and sundried tomatoes, delicious mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. Chef Al also provided Caesar salad and a to die for Dutch Apple Pie for dessert. Al, we thank you and appreciate your professionalism, timeliness, flexibility and responsiveness. You made our event a huge success, and we will definitely spread the word for you and Brick City Catering! Thanks again.

Chef Al is a nice man and very easy to work with, the food was great. We had a large group (160) with only one buffet line...if I could do one thing different, I would suggest two serving lines. It would have made things go faster. Food was delicious and presentation was amazing!

Exceptional customer service!!!!!!! From the very beginning chef Al had been the easiest fella to work with! He gave you whatever you wanted. We were not able to meet with him and sample the food so we went in with our fingers crossed the day of our wedding! The food was absolutely AMAZING! we had chicken and ribs with sides and we had 98% of our reception come up to us after dinner to tell us, that was the BEST wedding food they'd EVER HAD not to mention simply all around fabulous dinner! I would hire him again in a heartbeat, and so would everyone at the wedding!

Our venue changed our caterer last minute to Brick City, which was a tad stressful. We met with Al and he was amazingly nice and accommodating. After tasting we were a bit worried just because we were very happy with our previous caterer's food. Thankfully, Al himself came to our wedding to oversee everything, and it was all amazing. The food was delicious, the service was great, everyone had a great time.

The whole wedding went off perfectly, and a bit part of that was due to the great service these guys provided. Al is passionate about what he does and also a funny guy, great experience.

Chef Al made an incredible dinner for our wedding! He worked with our budget and came up with a menu that would fit within it. Even though we had a limited budget he came up with a very tasty menu that was better than other caterers I tried that were double and triple the price! Everything was so good and people couldn't wait to go up for seconds. I highly recommend Brick City Catering, our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them!

I was married last year and Brick City catered my rehearsal dinner, wedding, and the following day brunch for my out of town guests. I recently celebrated my 30th birthday, which of course I called Chef Al to make another one of my special days and event to remember. Brick City and their staff are amazing and always go above and beyond for their customers. Not only do they provide excellent food and service, they give great advice for other event needs and cool ideas for decorating. They really treat you like family and take extra time for the little details most caters would not. So if your looking for a caterer, I say...YES...YES... YES to Brick City!

I got married at Grand Oaks Resort on October 13, 2012 and Chef Al made my dream wedding come true!! The staff was outstanding!! They attended to all the needs of myself and my guests. He even cut the cake for all of us (with no extra charge) and I was extremly impressed by that!! I told these guys I would support their business and give them a great review if they did a great job for my wedding and they did and absolutely incredible job for us so here goes. Our first choice catering company failed us miserably. They screwed up the dates and double booked events but that's not the bad part. Rather than to find a way to cover our event they called us with only two weeks notice and canceled. We were totally shocked but we had no choice but to scramble to find a new catering service and someone recommend that we contact Brick City Catering. We had never heard of them but in the crunch we decided to have faith and in the end they really did come though for us. Even my husband was impressed with their service and he used to own a 5 star restaurant here in Ocala and service was their big thing. The owners name is Al and he and his wife really made us feel special. They not only came up with some awesome meals for our guests but they really went over the top with their presentation and service. I was so happy with the way things had gone and so were my family and friends. My mom was also very happy with the way things turned out and she was most impressed with how well the meals were prepared. Most often catered events are pretty but they don't taste very good. The chicken dinner they prepared was fabulous and my mom was asking Al's wife if she would share the recipe she was so impressed with the flavor. With most catered meals they seem to sit in the heat box for along time and the meals are overcooked or mushy but the chicken was perfect and even the alternative meals of fish were well prepared. All in all the wedding was perfect and thanks to Brick City Catering the food was perfect as well. They really went out of their way to make this a special day for us and we are so appreciative of their work.

From start to finish the staff @ Brick City understood exactly what we wanted and the day of the event. The team showed up, worked hard and served our guests the most delicious food. We were so happy to integrate the staff into the party and will use and recommend them to anyone again.

Chef Al and his wife, Irene are some of the most friendly people I have met. My son's wedding was just how I imagined. It was beautiful. The way the food was deliciously prepared and served had my guests asking where did I find this great caterer! The servers were polite with a continual smile. We opted for the beef, the chicken and salmon. The desserts are to die for. I come from a European family of cooks and all I heard were raves for this caterer. Go see chef Al-- you will love him as much as we did.

When we first met with Chef Al, we were very impressed with his professionalism and the flexibility to fit our budget without skimping on the menu. Our guests loved the food, which was very important to us as guests tend to remember the food more than anything from a wedding, and our guests seemed to have great interaction with the staff. The only reason this is not a 5.0 is a miscommunication in regards to a sit-down dinner rather than a buffet, and the confusion caused to the bridal party/bride the evening of the event. Chef Al did, however, work to reconcile the confusion the week after our wedding to make things right, and was very professional (rather than combative as some vendors are) during the process of meeting with us!

My husband and I have read reviews about Chef Al and they seemed really great but we don't feel like he really did his best for our wedding. The food was so and so. Chef Al lacks professionalism and organizational skills. We called him a week before the wedding just to check in and make sure everything was all set and ready and he acted as if he didnt know us or what we were talking about. So He told us hold on he will pull our file, which he had trouble finding and proceeded with someone else's file! Then we told him who we were yet AGAIN and when he finally pulled the right file, he knew who we were. That was a bit scary being so close to the wedding. Also, he said they would decorate the buffet table.... And he did not not. The service at the wedding went well, and his staff was friendly. He wasn't terrible.... But he was not great!

Though the food was delicious, the presentation was good BUT PLAIN (didn't get to see it as the bride, and after the caterer gloated about exquisite presentation), the rest was not impressive. I was told things/details when I signed my contract that were most definitely NOT delivered. First off, the caterer missed our final meeting set up a week in advance to finalize the wedding count, food details, etc. Not Cool! And then, he tried to cut corners by asking my wedding coordinator if they could put pitchers of tea and water on the tables and have guests pour it themselves!! I don't think so! I wanted all beverages served and we discussed this! I told him I wanted an ELEGANT WEDDING!!! NOT A SELF SERVE BBQ!!! Not to mention that he plated all the salads and placed them on the tables before guests even entered the venue...leaving all of those people to walk by all these salads. Just to note, that I also SPECIFICALLY discussed this with him upon signing my contract. But none the less, he did it anyway. THEN, after gloating about their service and that they could serve hundreds of people in 1.5 hours, and after he lead me to believe that they could serve my 140 person wedding in less than 45 minutes, we had guests waiting an hour...AN HOUR!!! to be released from their tables! Others were already done eating and up dancing...AGAIN, NOT COOL! And THATS NOT ALL...his caterers asked my Mom if they could have a few beers or drinks!!! WHILE THEY ARE WORKING MY WEDDING!!! Really dude! Which leads me to the instance when myself, THE BRIDE, asked for a refill on water and a cake shot (in the contract to serve desert), the server looked at me like "whatever" and walked off and NEVER came back!. RUDE!!! NOT DONE YET!!!! When we went back to the venue the next morning to clean up....THEY LEFT TONS OF FOOD IN THE SINKS, CLOGGING THE SINKS! NOT ENOUGH STAFF!

Al's service team was great, but Al is a jerk. He complained about other vendors at every meeting we had with him and then was complaining to guests about various things. Part of the agreement was that they cut and serve the cake. This never happened. He refused to even leave paper plates or napkins for the cake and left before we even cut the cake. Buyer beware. Food and his team are A+ but Al fails in customer service

Food was horrible and the service was also. The meat was salty and chewy. They ran out of beer. Also, the owner served the champagne with rubber gloves on. One of the waitstaff was texting the wiggle time, and her shirt showed her stomach. Very Disappointed for my friend who paid a lot.
