Not only did I have to draw my own eyebrows because she couldn't get it together, but I also had to listen to her lecture on her Christian values. I have full lips and she minimized them too much. I also have great round eyes, my best feature, which she understated. I could have done a better job myself, and have on occasion.
Getting the photos was a nightmare. It took Mya almost four weeks to even present the photos and I was told to pick 20 that I liked. That was asking too much, because there weren't even five worth paying for. Then I was sent this file to download them onto my computer without the link to do so.
In the time it took me to book this appointment, listen to the pulpit queen, take the photos, wait for the photos, and then wait for the link, I was able to go to another photographer in town and get everything I needed (including more than five decent shots). I have been working with photographers for over twenty years and this was the worst experience ever, bar none.Negroni Studio's reply:
Dear Ms. Uehara: As soon as you booked your portrait session, I hired one of the best stylist in this town. She is experienced, with over 12 other stylists working for her studio, and with extensive photography, television, and celebrity work on her background. You makeup was impeccable, beautiful, and contemporary. Very appropriate for the type of photos you hired our studio to do for you. I strongly believe that if you were not happy with the end result, you should have told her right away, and she would've been more than happy to make the necessary changes to fit your expectations. When hiring a professional, communication is very important if you have a specific style or expectations in mind. It is our job to make you happy, however, if you prefer a different style of have different expectations from our portfolio, then it's your responsibility to communicate with your vendors ahead of time and let them know and we'll be more than happy to provide what you'd like.
In regards to the religious conversation, I was present when it happened, and the only reason it did is because you brought it up. We apologize if you feel uncomfortable in any way. It was not her intention and she would have never responded or make comments if the subject was not brought to her attention.
Finally, if there is one thing I make myself proud of is giving information ahead of time to my clients before they hire me. You were very well aware of the time-frame to receive your photos. It was listed on our Service Agreement, Website, and reiterated after your session was done. Needless to say I am in shocked with this unfair review. You NEVER called or emailed me to communicate your dissatisfaction & refuse to answer my emails and calls after I found out about it. I care about my clients and I wish you would've come to me instead of venting anonymously on a public forum. My sincere apologies for the inconvenience and the door is always open if you wish to talk to me about this matter.
