We were getting married in San Diego for an out of state wedding ( we live in Colorado), so everything was done remotely, which could be scary. We vetted several photographers, and with the assurance from our venue (The Dana) we felt confident we made the right choice. Our phone communication was extremely pleasant and informative. From there you just hope nothing goes wrong. Bob and his assistant nailed the entire day! Multiple views, settings, various times of the day, original poses with family, friends and my bride and fun to work with! They caught everything from hair and makeup with the ladies through to the reception. We'd love to do anniversary photos in the same location and hope we can tap Bob again for that day. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend!!! -

Best day ever!
We were married in June and were lucky enough to have Bob as our photographer. When it was time for the photos of the wedding party and family, he and Tara were great! They posed us to make us look amazing and take some very flattering photos! Very friendly and helpful! Photos during the reception were so fun. We had the Photo Booth and it was so wonderful! When the wedding was winding down, Bob took some unbelievable photos of my husband and I. We have some great memories of that day with some AWESOME photos to remind us of our special day. I cannot recommend Bob enough! -

Bob is truly amazing!! Photography was very important to us, so we researched extensively and we're so grateful we found Bob. He did both our engagement session and wedding, which was really spectacular as we were able to get a practice run in and learn how to pose. All of the photos turned out beautifully, and Bob was such a professional and calming presence at the wedding. I truly think that Bob was the best decision that we made throughout our entire wedding planning process!!!!! -

Amazing Amazing!
This team is FANTASTIC. We used them for our engagement photos and wedding photos and all I can say is wow. We were so impressed with the photos from the engagement shoot that we last min decided to also book videography. (do it! 100% worth the money, it's the one thing we always refer back to)
Natalie and Bob are so personable and friendly and during the wedding we didn't even notice them once the ceremony was in place. They were on time and had everything in control the whole time. If you are looking for the best of the best this is it. Thank you all for making our wedding even more special and for capturing all of the amazing moments -

We are very happy with the work of Bob and his team! We started our journey with BH Photography back in 2017 when they took our engagement pictures at Balboa Park. We originally had our wedding planned for December of that year, but we had some setbacks and had to postpone. Little did we know that the postponement would be stretched out (after covid and having two babies) until 2023. When we had finally set a date, they were very receptive and and honored our deposits.
We love how they captured the special moments with our two older kids from our previous relationships and our two younger babies.
We highly recommend them for capturing your special day! -

Attentive, fun, easy going!
I cannot recommend this amazing company enough! They were with us for almost the entire day, and made it so much fun and stress free! They captured every moment we asked for, plus some of their own ideas. The most amazing part was that they put up with all of our shenanigans all day long, never questioning anything we wanted to do. They went with the flow, but kept us on track to be sure to have the best day possible. We will cherish the memories they've captured for us forever! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! -

My husband and I were so excited to have Bob’s team capture our wedding event. My parents had them as photographers and videographers at their wedding as well as my grandparents’ golden anniversary. At our initial meeting with Bob and Thelma, they showed us samples of the work that the photographer assigned to us had done, took the time to get to know us, and cater to what we were looking for. Throughout the planning process, Thelma always kept an open communication with us through email.
We had the pleasure of having Darryn as our photographer for our engagement session and our wedding day. We were unsure of how to pose, but he gave us clear and easy to follow directions while making us feel at ease. Our ceremony took place at our family’s church and the reception at the Japanese Friendship Garden. On our wedding day we had Monika as the second photographer, Alberto and Raphe for the videographers, and Andi for managing the photo booth. They were all a joy to work with, very clear with directions and not missing details that would affect their shots. They had wonderful suggestions for shots they wanted to capture that we did not think of. All were kind to our guests with their sudden photo requests and still able to fulfill our shot list as well. Everyone enjoyed the photo booth and when they had trouble thinking of poses he gave them fun ideas.
The entirety of the team was very kind and fun to work with. Our wedding day was beautifully eternalized while keeping the solemnity of the ceremony and capturing how much fun everyone was having at the reception. We are so very happy and honored to have them for our event and hope to be able to work with them again for future big events! -

Bob and his office staff had excellent communication leading up to our wedding day. Bob had several helpful phone discussions to help with planning and answering our questions and met with us the week before at the venue site to walk through photo locations and timelines. Bob had great suggestions of where to take our group shots. On the day of, he and his assistant photographer were very flexible and helpful when, in spite of all our planning, the morning got off schedule and first look was late. With their guidance, we were still able to get all the shots we wanted and get the timeline back on track. Bob was great to work with and we absolutely love all of our wedding photos!!! -

I can't say enough about Bob and his lovely team! We met Bob at the Bridal Bazaar in May 2021 and we immediately fell in love with the pictures he had displayed at his booth. Adding to that, with his major experience we knew we would be in great hands on our special day! When it came to our wedding day, Bob showed up early and we even (unexpectedly) had a second photographer, which made it so much easier to capture our huge photo list. Thelma was super awesome and so informative. She answered all the questions I had via email and made me feel relaxed and ready to take pictures. I hope Bob never retires, because he is super great at what he does!! -

I honestly don't know where to start off with Bob and his team. Bob has been with us since the beginning when we took our covid engagement shoot in 2020 and 2 years later for our second engagement photos and our wedding pictures and video. Bob truly knows how to capture the special moments and make them so magical in the pictures. His expertise and professionalism are unmatched. There are a lot of photographers who know how to shoot weddings and edit but Bob rises above with his eye and skills for nighttime photography. Bob has a good team working with him. We were particularly impressed by the number of high quality photos he took and everything they captured on video. We were blown away by the great quality of our highlight video! Seriously, it brought my mother-in-law to tears.
If I were to offer advice to anyone planning a wedding, I’d recommend paying for extra time before the wedding to capture “getting ready”. Also, if there are particular shots you want captured, be sure to communicate that! -

The team was great to work with during the planning stages, responding promptly to our emails and working things out over the phone when it came time to decide all the details. I would highly recommend Bob and his team. Our guests described the photo shoot as painfully perfect. Bob knows all of the right angles to get the perfect shots and it is worth every second! He will make all of the perfect moments of your wedding day last forever. I couldn't have anything bad to say if i tried. At the end, i received a USB drive with all of the high resolution photos of the day. Everyone that i have shown these photos to said that they loved every one, and there are LOTS! -

Excellent and Amazing!
Bob and his team are AMAZING. From the start of our first consult, to the in between, and to the final results!
We met with Bob and his Social Events Director- Thelma, at our first consult in their office in Kearny Mesa. Both were so welcoming and took the time to get to know us as a couple and show us their work. We consulted with a few other photographers before meeting Bob, and felt so comfortable with him, his prices/packages, and his work that we decided to go with him and his team right then and there. It was such an easy process and we appreciated the option to make monthly payments online. Their website was easy to navigate and keep track of payments with friendly reminders along the way.
Secondly, we picked the "Imagine" Photography package, which included 10 hours of coverage, an engagement session, and a wedding album. For the engagement session, we didn’t know what to expect, what to wear, and how to prepare. Thelma was helpful with providing tips and recommendations. We were nervous, but it turned out being quite fun and gave us an idea of what it would be like shooting with Bob and his assistant. The photos came in a timely manner and we received them in a beautiful USB made of glass that was tucked in a special black box.
Before the wedding, Thelma continued to keep us in the loop, and when the date was closer, she asked us to fill out an online questionnaire to help them prepare, such as: must have shots, what to focus on, who is who, and our Pinterest board.
Finally, on the day of the wedding, Bob and his team arrived, including Helen and Jem--they’re so great! Our wedding was going to be a long day and consisted of a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony, American ceremony, and reception. Bob and his team were professional, friendly, and helpful in so many ways. They even dressed in uniform so that our guests knew who they were! This definitely helped our guests pinpoint who they were—minor, but very important! Our family also loved them. One of our aunts mentioned how comfortable she felt with Bob and she even told our cousin to hire him instead of the photographer that he booked for his wedding!
Our wedding photos arrived about a month after our wedding and we absolutely loved how they turned out. We didn’t realize Bob and his team took so many shots until we saw our photos. Even though we had plenty of photos, we wish we could have even more, because they turned out so beautiful. Soon after, we got to pick about 60 photos for our 12x12 album, and it turned out just as beautiful seeing it in a book. The album was ready 1.5 weeks later and we couldn’t wait to share with our families!
You will not regret hiring Bob and his team for your wedding. They are so professional, respectful, and creative! We hope you LOVE them as much as we do! -

Bob and his team are an outstanding group of people. It was an incredible pleasure to work with them. Bob is the sweetest and did an awesome job providing any and all information I needed in our first meeting. I wasnt quite sure what questions to ask and he was so helpful! Our engagement shoot went perfectly, even after weather issues Bob was very accomodating. The pictures were breath taking!!! Thelma was a pleasure to work with as well, she did a perfect job on communicating and following up with me. Day of the wedding, Bob and his team were all there with perfect timing. It was so much fun interacting with them and brought me so much joy. Bob is truly a master of his craft and we consider ourselves extremely lucky to have the opportunity to work with him. It was easy and stress free to trust him with our photopgraphy and videopgraphy and I continue to be blown away with every picture we receive. Amazing Job!!
Bob did our engagement photo session, as well as the videography at our wedding. We absolutely loved working with Bob and his team! After listening to what we wanted, they arrived early and prepared. They worked in tandem with our coordinator, DJ, photographer, officiant, and other vendors. This was so relieving because we did not have to worry about a thing and felt confident that it was being taken care of. After receiving our videos and being able to relive our day through their eyes, we were felt very touched on the special moments that made our day so great - and so grateful that Bob and his team were able to capture each and every one! -
