Just What We Wanted!

We wanted an odd mix of music with different vibes that changed throughout the event. Bob nailed it with very little direction and it was better than we imagined it could be. I still play the songs he lined up for us because they remind me of special moments that happened throughout our wedding day. Bob was professional and built a sense of trust. Our guests are still talking about the great vibe he created and especially the last dance of the night!

Bob was Fantastic!

We had a great experience working with Bob. Right from the start he was responsive and easy to work with. We loved the online portal for selecting songs and Bob was even open to a google doc of more requests as we went through the process. He was professional, great at keeping the wedding moving, and kept the dance floor full all night (our mark of a great wedding)! He played a classic wedding mix of music - which is exactly what we wanted. Great experience!

Awesome Wedding DJ!

We can not say enough about Bob and Mike! We recently had the pleasure of working with them for our wedding. Bob is super responsive, and even went as far as setting up uplighting in his house for me to see in person. Mike was our DJ for the big day and he kept everyone on the dance floor all night! He played music that all of our guest enjoyed dancing to and he kept everything running smoothly. Everyone had a great time and we would highly recommend them!

Bob was absolutely wonderful! He dealt with a few last minute changes before the reception and did it so well no one noticed! Many commented on how great the music selection was and we all enjoyed how he gave away the center pieces. We highly recommend Bob for any wedding!!

We had a great experience using Bob Heck Entertainment for our wedding back in September 2017. We met with Bob and our actual DJ for the night, Slater, for a quick info session and made sure all of our preferences would be accommodated and contract signed. Slater was an amazing addition to our wedding - he followed our directions and played the perfect music throughout our wedding. Slater was professional in all senses of the word and had a great personality and was easy to work with! Once the contract is signed, Bob sends a link for a portal where you can organize the big songs (first dance, entrance, father/bride, etc etc) and put in songs that you don't want played as well as must play songs. We felt that Bob Heck Entertainment was priced so well for the quality of the services and would recommend them to any body looking for a DJ in the Berkshires or Albany area!

Bob was wonderful to work with! He made time to speak on the phone with us beforehand to review our requests/preferences, and he made us feel very comfortable from the start. Bob provided music and microphones for our ceremony, as well as music, announcements, and entertainment for our reception. Literally everything was seamless. There were no issues at all with the microphones or timing of music during the ceremony, which we've often witnessed at other weddings! He was extremely kind and professional - he made sure to pronounce everyone's names correctly when announcing our wedding party (15 people total!!) and made sure to announce us as a couple just the way we wanted. He had no trouble providing us with the music we requested, even the not "well-known" song we chose for our first dance. We opted to play the "shoe-game" which was a lot of fun for us and a laugh for all our guests as well! After Bob played the songs we had requested during the night, he made sure to check in with us and others to see if there were any other songs we wanted to hear. We were a little nervous picking out a small subset of songs to work with, but Bob picked the perfect complimentary songs to go with what we selected. He also did a great job handling the situation when one of our guests requested one of the songs on our "do not play" list. The dance floor was never empty, and Bob had our guests of all ages up on their feet the whole night. Thank you for everything Bob!!

Bob Heck did an amazing job as the DJ at our October wedding. He was able to get everyone out on the dance floor and everyone had such an amazing time! I can't thank Bob enough! He was professional, responsive, and friendly. He is really able to read a crowd and play fitting music. He made our wedding night so much fun. I would highly recommend Bob Heck Entertainment to anyone!

Bob Heck was the DJ for my December 10th wedding at the Country Club of Pittsfield and I couldn't be happier with my choice of DJ. My husband and I invited mostly family (including about 20 children) to our wedding so creating a family friendly environment was extremely important to us. We asked Bob to avoid songs with overtly sexual themes and not play anything referencing drugs or binge drinking. We also requested that he not alienate our older guests by playing too many top 40s.

Despite having really specific criteria, we still wanted to have a fun night with a full dance floor and Bob did not disappoint - he played amazing oldies that everyone knew and loved. People were singing along and the dance floor was full the entire reception. Later in the night when people began requesting Taylor Swift and other newer artists he came and asked my husband and I if that was OK before he played it. He did a phenomenal job transitioning the party from oldies to contemporary and everyone loved it.

Bob was amazing, created the exact environment we asked for, kept it fun the whole night, and I recommend him to anyone planning an event with music. He's the absolute best!!!

One final note: I was able to pay the deposit and the final balance online via credit card. It was super convenient since I got married in Massachusetts, but live in Virginia.

If you are looking for the best DJ in the Berkshires look no further! I recently got married in the Berkshires and Bob Heck Entertainment was fantastic. I worked with Bob and Mike on the contract and organization leading up to the wedding and both were organized, open to ideas we had about the reception, and were open to any of our music requests. On the big day Mike did an incredible job! He was a fantastic MC, he read the music vibe in the room perfectly, and everyone danced the whole evening away. The lights were perfect for the space, the speakers were incredible, and the photobooth was a HUGE hit. I could not have been happier with my decision to hire Bob Heck Entertainment!

Bob Heck did the music for our ceremony and our reception. He did a really great job. He played all the music we requested and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. We had so many people tell us it was the best wedding they'd ever been which I think is highly attributed to the great music he played. We also used the photo booth from Bob which had great props and an attendant. I would highly recommend Bob Heck.

Could not have asked for a better DJ on our special day! We hired Bob for the ceremony music, cocktail hour, reception and photo booth. He is very easy going, and when I first met with him, he said "you're day, you're way" and that saying always stuck with me. It was very easy to plan and converse via email. He did an amazing job, and played a big role in making our special day perfect! Would highly recommend him to any Berkshire (and surrounding areas) bride and grooms!

Bob was great! Nothing but great things to say. Very flexible, fun, affordable, and responsive. We love music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s and he picked great songs. My guests had a blast! They loved the uplighting with the bliss lights. Beautiful! I don't I've ever seen a more beautiful venue than mine was that night.
Also, do the shoe game! It was a HUGE hit. We have never seen anyone play at a wedding and neither have any of our guests. They loved it.
We got married on a mountain top (Jiminy Peak) and Bob brought all the equipment up to the top. I was so happy I could have my music played so everyone could hear. He finds putting a mic on the officiant very important (which it is!). I don't know how many weddings I've been to outside where you can't hear anyone. Not a problem on my big day! Easy to talk to. Easy to get in touch with. All around a nice guy and runs a great business.
The money we paid covered music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, uplighting, bliss lights and 1 extra hour. Not too bad!

Bob is professional, responsive, fun, and kept our wedding guests dancing for hours. You can tell Bob has experience; he was helpful with suggestions throughout the planning process, and with a little guidance from us, knew exactly what we were looking for. I feel like throughout the whole night all I kept saying was "oh my god, I love this song!!" He has an online planning tool that is easy to use and lets you put in songs you definitely do want, definitely don't want, plan out special dances, etc. and document all the details in preparation for your in-person meeting (timelines, family and bridal party names, etc.). I would recommend him to anyone planning a wedding in Berkshire County.

Bob provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception, and was very flexible in planning with us. This required moving around to a few different locations / rooms and everything went perfectly. We also provided Bob with a few obscure, difficult-to-find Bosnian songs and he found all of them and integrated it perfectly with the rest of the music and dancing - this not only made my in-laws very happy, but made for some very fun memories and moments with our guests and families celebrating my husband's background and traditions. Thank you Bob!!

We contracted with Bob Heck entertainment for our wedding at Seven Hills Inn in Lenox and Mike Heck was our DJ. Since we live in Brooklyn and Mike is based in the Pittsfield area, we had a pre-wedding FaceTime session to go over our music tastes, wedding format, and set up. I would recommend this session for everyone-- it was very helpful.

Mike exceeded all our expectations. He was very professional, approachable, and provides great customer service with a customer-centric approach. Our setup was complicated and he nailed it. We had four separate locations that needed music (outdoor ceremony on the grounds, outdoor cocktail hour on the patio, indoor dining area, and separate indoor dance hall) and he was able to setup and seamlessly transition between all the sites.

Mike respected all our requests and kept the dance floor pumping. Our family loves to dance and he had the entire party going to the point where we wouldn't let him leave. Mike stayed an extra hour beyond our contracted time because we couldn't / wouldn't stop dancing. I couldn't have asked for anything more for our wedding DJ and his rates are very reasonable.

Awesome! It may of poured but they were amazing, kept the day absolutely fun! Were so organized, certainly kept us on track even when things got really crazy with everything needing to be completely swapped around due to weather.

Recently got married aug 10th at Bucksteep Manor in Washington Ma and had chosen Bob Heck Entertainment after having a blast with him at friends wedding a few years ago. Bob himself was not available that day and we were given amazing services by on of his DJ's Dennis Wixom. Dennis went above and beyond coming to my families house once we flew in from Florida to deal with my million and one bridezilla questions, go over names, timelines and to listen to how we wanted this to be unforgettable! He was calming, reassuring and totally on the same page with us! I seriously couldn't of asked for better! The wedding went flawless he kept us up to date on our times and where and when we needed to be somewhere all along with a great sense of humor. The dance floor went right till the end and were blown away. We even received several calls over the next few days saying how amazing the music was and many requests as to who we used! By far Dennis played a huge role in making it the best night of our lives! Would recommend him to anyone!

We had a very specific vision for how we wanted the music to sound and how we wanted the events to proceed at our wedding. (Danceable but not too cheesy, and very rapidly!) Mike Heck was everything we could've asked for and more. He seamlessly integrated our requests in with his own selections and had everybody on the dance floor for hours. He stayed in the background except to make brief announcements. All the equipment worked perfectly, including the wireless mic for the outdoor ceremony, and the sound system was great. Mike was very professional at all times and always made sure to check with us before doing anything important. Our wedding was fabulous and Mike was a huge part of making that happen. I recommend Bob Heck Entertainment enthusiastically!

Bob Heck was absolutely wonderful and extremely easy to deal with....Always available and always answered emails VERYYYY quickly which is a BIG plus when you're planning a wedding.....He helped to put together our wedding reception and had great ideas.... Dennis Wixsom was the DJ assigned to perform at our wedding reception... We loved him!!!!!!.Dennis was absolutely wonderful and was lots of fun...He had put together a wide variety of music as We had various age groups in attendance and everyone had a fabulous time....Everything you'd want in a DJ....He kept the night flowing smoothly, He was Lively, professional, GREAT at his job and very attentive to everyone....Hated to see the evening come to an end....we were having so much fun and were dancing the night away to a lot of today's hits as well as hits from way back when!!! We just can't express how happy we were with Dennis....He truly made a very special night even more special for everyone involved in our wedding....We love you Dennis!!!!! The new Mr&Mrs Donald W. My husband and I just had the best wedding EVER! Thank you Mike! Everyone had so much fun! We've had so many people contact us, to tell us what a great party it was. You were so nice to work with. Bob was absolutely amazing throughout our entire wedding process. He was there for any questions/requests leading up to our day and on our day. He played the music that we wanted and I have honestly never seen a dance floor so full for the ENTIRE night at any other wedding. Bob got the party started and we had an absolute blast with him. The one thing every person said the day after the wedding was "who was your DJ because he was awesome!" Thank you so much Bob!!!

Bob Heck entertainment was the best. I think they really know their music and know what to play and when. They kept all my guests dancing, people ranging from 10-85 years old and everyone was dancing. I have never been to a wedding where the tables were empty because everyone was up dancing. I totally reccomend them, you will NOT be disappointed.

Dennis was our DJ from Bob Heck Entertainment. Dennis and Bob were so easy to work with from the beginning. We knew Dennis was our DJ from the first meeting, he was great! The reception was interrupted by thunderstorms, a short power outage and a flooded tent but Dennis performed beautifully and helped us keep a schedule and cover all the events we wanted to include in our reception. I would highly recommend him for any event.

Bob Heck was awesome! I didn't recommend songs to be played during the reception so he did it all on his own and did a great job. Everyone was up dancing and had a great time. He knew when everything had to take place and made sure that I knew it was time to cut the cake, time for toast, etc..

I totally forgot the garter and we just cut that part out reception- no one even noticed and Bob was really flexible about changing things up.

Overall, Bob was really professional, friendly and cheap! Thanks Bob for giving us an amazing night.

How was your experience working with our office to book your event ?
It was so easy to get in touch with Bob to book our event. I sent an email asking for information, and heard back from him the same day.

How was your experience working with our DJ ?
Bob was great to work with. He is very quick to respond to emails and/or phone messages. I always heard back from him the same day I sent a message, and he took the time to give me as much information as I needed about various parts of the day. He sets up a website for the bride and groom to customize their wedding music, which is very helpful. He reviewed everything with me a couple of days before the wedding, and it all went very smoothly.

Do you feel that your DJ did his / her best to make your event the best it could be ?
YES! We are pretty hands off, and just relied on Bob's expertise. We told him to make sure that people had fun and were dancing the whole night, and he delivered! I highly recommend him as a DJ for your wedding, or any party for that matter. He was very professional, friendly, and super easy to work with. I felt so confident all day that he would do a great job, and our friends and family had a wonderful time.

Bob Heck was an excellant DJ! Very professional and knew what he was doing so we were able to relax and just have fun! He remembered all of the little things we requested. He keep everyone on the dance floor having a great time all night, no one wanted the night to end!
But at the end of the night is when Bob really went above and beyond. Our Dufour transportation bus left early, leaving numerous guests including the bride and groom stranded at the reception. Bob called his family to help him shuttle everyone back to the hotel. This was the last thing we expected out of a DJ, but it shows how much Bob will do everything he can to make your night perfect!
We are at a point in our lives where alot of our friends are getting married and we would highly reccomend Bob to DJ their wedding, or any occasion for that matter!

Our DJ was a lot of fun. He was there for me the entire way through. He even tinkered with a song and made it loop so I got the exact part I wanted. Our DJ was even downloading songs that people were requesting the day of the wedding. If he doesn't have it he will get it. People are still commenting on how well our DJ did. Bob Heck went above and beyond what we expected. I contacted them every almost week and got a reply in a timely manner. If you want to have a lot of fun at your wedding go with Bob Heck and you will not regret it.

Bob Heck was great! He was fun and entertaining and very flexible. He kept the reception moving along and the dance floor was full the whole time. I would definitely recommend Bob Heck - he was easy to work with, very organized (his website is fantastic and easy to use - all your information is there for you to review and update and there for Bob or one his employees to go by on the day of your event). Amazing company!!! more then I couldn't have ever expected. He kept my husband and I on track and on schedule the whole night. worked the crowd got everyone involved with fun wedding games. Everyone was up on the dance floor for the entire night, all ages! 5yrs- 70yrs! he made the wedding unforgettable.

Bob did an excellent job for our wedding ceremony and reception. He knew exactly what needed to be done during the ceremony and kept everyone organized. I heard nothing but compliments all evening about the selection of music for dinner and dancing. He not only added songs we requested but incorporated songs typically played which was great. The whole day went smoothly and we felt no need to worry about anything. Bob kept of us informed of everything that was happening and were we needed to be. We are so happy with our choice of Bob Heck Entertainment.

Bob was the DJ for our wedding in Great Barrington, MA. Bob was professional, responsive, and helpful. He worked well with our live musicians when it came to set up and he successfully em-ceed our various events, including father-daughter song and dance, cake cutting, etc. Bob has extensive online services for you to choose songs you want to make sure are played, played if requested, or not played. There were a few songs I wish he hadn't played, but I hadn't put them on my "don't play" list, so it had nothing to do with him being unprofessional in any way. There were times when I wish the experience had been more loud or party-like, but I think he did work the crowd well and adapted what he played to the people who were dancing. Overall, I would recommend Bob to a friend or any couple planning a wedding.

We used Bob Heck Entertainment for our wedding reception in Great Barrington, MA on 6/7/14 and DJ Mike Heck was our DJ. We met with Bob and Mike in March to go over our day, and really felt comfortable with them. Very down to earth and sociable, but not over the top and cheesy. We were able to use their interactive website to plan our event. They were very responsive via email and were able to meet all our requests! Mike was set up promptly and ready to go when everyone arrived at the reception and went over all the names to get them right. We made it clear that we didn't want a lot of the cliched wedding theatrics, and he was very accommodating. We had quite a span of guests from young to old and it was a great mix of oldies and new stuff. We had a blast and DJ Mike was a big reason why!

Bob Heck Entertainment honored every request we had regarding our day. His playlist was exactly what we had asked for. The thing we enjoyed the most is that Bob was having a great time with us throughout the event.

Our DJ was Mike, he was extremely accomodating and was able to work with any little kinks thrown at him! We would work with Heck Entertainment again for sure and especially with Mike!! A GREAT expirience! And everything was done with a smile!!

Bob was recently the DJ for our wedding! Other than a few bumps in the road, which were eventually and easily resolved everything was perfect! He was professional and you can tell he has been doing this for a while! Was great at getting everyone up and moving and took any requests that guests asked for!! Thanks for making our ceremony and reception great!
