Beautiful work

As someone who got married in the middle of December I was not sure what my options would be for flowers. I met with the event florist and had a discussion on shapes and sizes of what I want and provided the colors for my wedding. From there I just said I trust whatever you come up with will be lovely. I was blown away with how gorgeous our flowers were. They steal the show in all of our pictures and I'm so thrilled with them. They also held up in vases for several weeks after. I would highly recommend them

Loved Everything!

Blooms did such an amazing job with our flowers! When I saw the reception, I couldn’t believe how stunning the flowers looked. They were amazing! The flowers on the tables were perfect, and our bouquets, and everything else were gorgeous. Sue was so easy to work with and took detailed notes about what I wanted, and answered any questions I had. She was very responsive and organized! I’m so glad we chose Blooms for our wedding!

We can't thank Sue, Mark, and the team at Blooms by Vickery enough! Sue worked within our budget and brought our vision to life. She was prompt with emails and met with us on several occasions to make sure that everything was perfect. Our flowers turned out even better than we could have imagined! Blooms was perfect in every way! As Mother of the Groom, my big concern was the low budget that Blooms had to work with and the fact that the bride was actually making her own bridal and bridesmaids bouquets to help save money and so that they could keep their bouquets, and how well would Blooms coordinate that. Blooms stayed within budget AND the silk and fresh flowers coordinated beautifully! Would highly recommend Blooms for your wedding or flower needs!

I worked with Sue to plan my wedding day. She sat down and took time to walk me through all that was needed and even when I changed my mind several times she adjusted my payment and was so flexible. I knew from the beginning that I had nothing to worry about and my flowers were absolutely beautiful and I couldn't have dreamed up a better florist to work with!!

We worked with Sue and she was very straightforward and worked with us and our budget. Honestly, I thought our total would be double what it actually was! Our flowers were beautiful and fresh. They arrived early and in fresh water to our venue. Sue and Michael, another florist, personally brought them to our venue and helped set them up. They listened to us, were prompt in emails, were not pushy, and they gave us wonderful arrangements! They were genuinely excited for us and you could tell they put a lot of personal effort into our order. Loved this place so much and can't recommend it enough!

Get your flowers here! Sue Kurtz and her team are amazing, and their floral arrangements set the perfect vibe for our wedding. They also did everything at the highest quality and for an unbelievable value. She is very creative and really "gets" your vision, and then brings it to life beyond your expectations! Mark Vickrey, owner of Blooms, is awesome and I so enjoyed working with him and his staff. He has this insightful way of understanding your vision and then brings it to fruition within your budget. He not only creates the most beautiful center pieces, but helps with overall design concept and coordination of that design with other vendors. Most of all, Mark makes it FUN! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone and I can't wait for another opportunity to work with him again!

Blooms by Vickrey did the flowers for my wedding on October 15th, 2016. Everything was beyond beautiful! The bouquets for the bridesmaids and my own bouquet were rich with colors, and a variety of flowers beyond my wildest dreams, and the accessories for parents, groom and groomsmen were right on point with what I wanted: simple and handsome. But the pièce de résistance was my flower crown. It was MAGICAL and made me feel beautiful and unique and helped to realize the vision I had for my wedding. Thank you to Sue Kurtz who I had the pleasure of working with; she and all the others I encountered were professional and knowledgeable. I will continue to patronize Blooms by Vickrey for all my floral needs and am proud to recommend them to anyone who needs stylish and beautiful flowers. Well done and thank you!!

We Loved Blooms by Vickrey!!! They are very professional, organized, & very easy to work with. They had no problem changing the time of delivery "twice" for us, due to a couple spear of the moment changes for our wedding. Our flower center pieces, baby's breath, bouquet..... all were delivered on time & more beautiful then I could have imagined. We had a winter themed wedding, so I asked them to surprise us with a wintery touch. Our designer we worked with really surprised us by using fake snow on top of our rose center pieces. They are Great designers! Thanks so much Blooms by Vickrey!!!

Sue made picking out our flowers so easy. She listened to our descriptions and offered suggestions. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and matched our theme very well! They also set up the arbor for our ceremony and did a wonderful job! Blooms works with our venue, Ski Roundtop, frequently, so that also made planning easy.

We really enjoyed working with Blooms by Vickrey for our flowers for our wedding. They were very easy to work with and I found their staff to be very helpful. Flowers were the one area I didn't know much about in terms of what I wanted, but they were able to design a beautiful bouquet beyond my expectations. The other bouquets and boutonnieres were also beautiful. They were flexible as I called to add or change a few things before the wedding. I highly recommend Blooms for your big day!

When we walked in, we felt very welcome. The staff who helped were excited about helping to plan this aspect of the wedding and seemed really passionate and knowledgeable about their business. They knew how to inspire personal creativity while at the same time inserting their professional opinions when asked or when it was helpful.

I never thought I’d be the bride to spend money on flowers given their short shelf life but when planning our wedding I was convinced otherwise and I am so incredibly glad I was. From the very beginning working with Bloom’s was an absolute pleasure. From my first meeting with Sue to a site visit to the day of to even a week after – the entire process was easy, simple and fun. The flowers were just gorgeous and a week later they are adorning our local church and still being oh and awed over. At no time did I feel overwhelmed and even though it was not part of their contract they helped my frantic mother with the arrangement of several of her own flowers and some silk flowers. They were sweet, honest and at no time did I feel I was being taken advantage of just because I had wedding written all over me. I will be recommending Bloom’s to anyone and everyone I possibly can because they were by far my favorite vendor and the easiest to work with. And here I thought I’d never even want fresh flowers at my wedding; amazing how a simple smile and amazing customer service can change your perspective. A special thanks to Sue and Mark for making this process smooth, pleasant, and fun. You guys have a great team!!

Blooms by Vickrey did a great job on the centerpieces for our wedding reception! We had blue dyed orchids in vases with shells on the bottom and floating candles on top. They were beautiful.

The team at Blooms worked with us throughout the process to give us everything we wanted for the big day in terms of flowers, linens, and lighting. We could not have been more thrilled. They incorporated greens from our yard for that personal touch. The linens and lighting made the room look magical. They took into account everything we said and brought it to life in a perfect way. It has now been three weeks and we are still aglow remembering that very special day. The added bonus is that they worked with our budget to make it happen.

Blooms did such an amazing job! When we went in for the grand reveal it brought tears to my eyes! The ball room looked simply amazing. The Linens, chairs, lighting and flowers looked stunning. All of out flowers for the wedding party, chruch and reception venue were provided by Blooms. They were just beautiful! The staff there is freiendly and very helpful. We worked closely with Ronn and he listened to us when we explained the overall look that we wanted to create. He helped us select linens, chairs, decor and lighting for the venue. The end result was just beautiful and we wouldn't have changed a thing!

If you want creative, unique and beautiful flowers for your wedding, this is the place to come! I checked with a few other flower shops before I decided on Blooms by Vickrey, and the day that I met Ronn I was sold! I had something unique and not quite solidified in mind, and Ronn helped bring cohesion and creativity to my vision. He took what I had in mind and created flowers worth being remembered. I also gave him a price point and he made sure to stay within that price while also decorating a large pergola, the reception banquet room and having flowers for all the bridesmaids, groomsmen and mothers. He was straightforward and pointed out excellent suggestions on colors, my own personal bouquet and where I shouldn’t worry so much about needing flowers, and where I should focus on having them all while working within my budget. He even let me rip apart and rearrange my trial flowers to make sure I was happy (and he was right). They worked with items I already had and worked it into the reception displays to complete the vision, and the day of the wedding, the flowers were stunning and the decorations beautiful. All was taken care of without any issues and I would recommend Blooms By Vickrey to anyone. He and the owner are absolute dolls!

The flowers were just beautiful!!!! They were easy to talk to and listened to what you wanted! We worked with Ronn, and he was amazing!!!!! We have heard many horror stories about flowers being ugly and not what they wanted, but ours were perfect! I am currently drying my bouquet and will keep it forever!!!!!!

We used Blooms for our florist for our wedding and working with Sue was absolutely fantastic and EASY! My bridesmaids bouquets were a little smaller than the photo I originally showed them and I wish I would have known before hand that they would have been smaller so that was a bit of a surprise on my wedding day when they arrived.
What we discussed originally for our ceremony flowers were not what showed up (what we had were beautiful) but I wish I would have emailed a photo of what we discussed 7 or 8 months before at our meeting so I was not surprised when I saw something completely different!
All of our flowers were so beautiful and affordable and they were willing to work within your budget!

We were so pleased with how Blooms made our vision come to life (hanging floral balls from the ceiling, for example)! Although we came armed with lots of our own ideas, they helped us really narrow down what would look good in the space and how to most effectively use our budget. They also had lots of their own great ideas, and the whole wedding really came together because of the arrangements. They not only created centerpieces for us, but also our bouquets, bathroom decor, cocktail table arrangements, arrangements in the aisles for the ceremony, and unique arrangements that housed our escort cards, to name a few. They will come up with something amazing no matter the size of your budget. Oh, and they also did our linens, which were fabulous as well!

I have worked with Blooms in the past which is why we chose them for our wedding. We didn't have a very detailed vision at our first meeting, just a few types of flowers we liked and a color scheme. Ronn was able to transform that vague vision into a beautiful theme. Our flowers from my bouquet to the centerpieces were simple, elegant and tasteful. We worked with Blooms and were so happy with the flowers on our wedding day! When I first met them we were at least a year away from our wedding and I shared the colors that we were using. I showed them a few pictures of bouquets that I liked and I was so happy with the end result! My bridesmaid flowers were also beautiful!
The flowers for our center pieces at our reception were also beautiful and they added the perfect touch to our reception site. Since I booked with Blooms so far in advance I did make a few changes and they were so accommodating and always made the right adjustments to our bill.
Each time I went into the shop or called everyone was so friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone I know!

I went into my wedding having no idea what some of my flowers were going to look like (I was a brave bride!). I gave exact directions on how I wanted my bouquet to look like, and I had an idea of what I wanted for the centerpieces. Other than that, I just gave them my wedding colors and budget and let them take the reins. I was nervous because at my initital meeting, Ronn was slightly vague in his descriptions on what he had in mind, and wasn't very thorough in giving examples of what the flowers he was thinking of were. So if you don't like surprises I recommend that you ask for pictures/examples. The day of the wedding there was a disconnect with where/when our bouquets were to be delivered, but my father was able to get a hold of them and everything worked out. The centerpieces ended up being gorgeous! Overall I was incredibly happy with the service and quality of the flowers, and I would definitely recommend them.

The flowers looked amazing for our wedding! Everything was beautiful and came out as I had wanted with only a few conversations. The perfect amount of color and candle light.
The only downside was that we were not able to keep any of the flowers other than bouquets.

The staff was very nice and professional. The flowers were beautiful. It seemed to me that they were a little on the pricey side. They forgot to put a vase on my table for my bouquet.

I really enjoyed working with the ladies at Blooms, but I have to say, I thought the arrangements provided for my wedding were a little bland.

When I first met with Ronn at Blooms by Vickrey, I had ideas of what I wanted in my head, but I wasn't entirely sure. By the time I left, I had visions of utter perfection and beauty dancing in my head. Ronn is AMAZING! I told him what I was looking for, and he painted a perfect picture of my wedding day in my head. I was hooked. I loved him from the start and couldn't wait to continue working with him. When I emailed him back and forth everything seemed to be going well, until the week before the wedding. I emailed Blooms by Vickrey to double check everything and I received and email back saying Ronn is no longer with them and that someone else took over my account. I was upset, but tried to keep my hopes up. I met with a consultant and asked to make sure everything is still going to go as planned and that they had Ronn's notes, they assured me everything was right on task and would be perfect. Not everything was. I showed up on my wedding day with hours until our ceremony to check everything. The inside was breathtaking, the centerpieces were perfect, our bouquets were fabulous, but when I looked outside it was not what I pictured at all. It was not even close to what Ronn said would be set up. There were supposed to be a bunch of strands of lights hanging from the canopy, there were two strands framing the front of the canopy. I had no aisle runner, and later found out I had no basket for the flower girl either, which I payed for. I was highly disappointed. My wedding planner had to throw together a basket so my flower girl had something to carry down the aisle. My flowers were gorgeous non the less, but I was disappointed that things were not the way that they said they would be. I just wish Ronn would've been there to handle my Big Day, because I feel that none of that would've happened.

I used Blooms for my wedding for the bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, and corsages for our mothers, as well as decorations at the ceremony site. I had a great experience during the planning process. That part was perfect, they were great to work with, we had several meetings, and everything was good. When the flowers arrived on the wedding day, I was extremely happy with the bouquets for myself (bride) as well as the bridesmaids. However, the boutonnieres had billy balls and scabiosa in them, and the flowers were already wilted when they arrived. My husband's boutonniere was a succulent and his completely fell apart before the day was over and he had to just take it off. That was very disappointing. The corsages for the mother's also did not hold up very well. As far as the ceremony decorations, they were beautiful, but not exactly what I thought we had discussed. However, I will reiterate that the bouquets were absolutely gorgeous and I loved them. The centerpieces were also lovely. But for the amount of money we paid, and this shop is very expensive, I expected more. Not sure I would recommend, or if I did, I would tell you to ask them to make sure the boutonnieres would not fall apart, and just be very specific with what you want.

I chose to work with Blooms because they are known as one of the best florists in Central PA. However I was a long distance bride and due to that, have a different set of criteria. For one, I do everything over email. If you are not comfortable sending proposals, or attached photos, you should not engage with someone who does not live in the area. How a business can even survive without these essential skills was way beyond the groom's comprehension.
The other challenge I had was getting them to think creatively and propose more than one option. I brought a few pictures to my first meeting to show a few examples of things I liked but truthfully I specified NO flowers that I had to have or any flowers that I didn't like. I expected them to take advantage of our open minds and propose something fantastic. The first proposal came in astronomically high and with no visuals. What a sell. They then trimmed the budget but I had no idea what a $75 maid of honor bouquet might look like next to a $85 version. Ultimately I gave my centerpieces away because I was not convinced that they could pull off what I wanted. All I asked for was something simple incorporating branches and candles... JDK, our caterer, did an awesome job with these ultimately. and they were able to EMAIL attached photos. 4 versions with accompanying pricing, so I could compare what $70 looked like and what $100 each looked like. Our centerpieces were less than $65 a table and everyone loved them!
Though I liked my bouquet, I felt the boutonnieres lacked originality- just white roses. They were like the ones I bought for my prom dates back in high school. And they did our pew decorations which consisted solely of big loopy bright white satin bows. Again, had I known what they looked like, I probably would have skipped that expense entirely.

Maybe if you live in the area and are very specific about your vision, this would be the right florist for you. I hope you'll have a better experience than we did.

I chose to work with Blooms because they have done amazing work. I was underwhelmed, however, with my centerpiece arrangments. I had branches I wanted placed in each arrangment so I was told to bring the branches a week early so they could put them in. When I arrived at my reception I found that they never put them in. Also I was specific with colors but they added flowers I did not want (they added two colors that didnt go with my theme at all!) and filled the arrangment with greens. They completely changed everything I had wanted. I was devestated but the recpetion was about to begin so I couldn't do anything. When we called to ask them why our centerpieces looked nothing like talked about I got no responce. I called for months. Never heard a word. It's been almost a year and typing this still makes me so sad.

Extremely upset with my WEDDING flowers from Blooms By Vickrey from my May 27th 2018 wedding. After spending over an hour with Sue (and even Mark coming in to check on the appointment) our wedding planner, my husband, and myself - thought we were all on the same page. I kept saying I wanted 'light greenery throughout the all of the flowers, with light pale pink flowers and larger, oversized bouquets', I also kept saying 'light eucalyptus and silver dollar colored leafy greenery'. I even showed Sue multiple pictures of what I wanted, she seemed to understand. What do I get 2 hours before the start of the wedding?? Small, wilted bouquets with greenery that looked like dark seaweed! When they arrived I could't even complement the flowers since they were that far off from what I wanted and not fresh! Sue asked if she should cut the flowers out (why would a florist even recommend that??) and we had her open up the entire bouquet and take the greenery out, after she left a family friend actually went outside of the wedding venue and CUT NEW GREENERY from the hotel grounds for my bouquet! This family friend is also a florist and said that the stems were all wilted and not at all fresh. My photographer even asked if she could take out a flower because it was brown and would't photograph well! Then after the wedding, I reached out to them regarding my issues only to get unprofessional and extremely rude responses from a manager that basically said they were not responsible for what the 'wholesaler' provided and that there was nothing they could do. Not a single apology, they even said their 'feelings were't hurt', and when I requested to speak with Sue and Mark in person (the owners) I was given no email response and no return phone call. They also said they thought I was satisfied when Sue left the flowers - if the main thing I wanted was light leafy greenery and that was taken out of the flowers, how was I satisfied? Very unprofessional, not accountable, and unsympathetic!
