Kathleen at Blooming Spaces was amazing to work with. She was so receptive to my vision for my wedding day florals, helped figure out how best to achieve that vision within our budget, and was very responsive throughout the whole wedding planning process. On top of her amazing customer service though - the floral arrangements turned out absolutely stunning. They were exactly what I had envisioned and more. I wanted colorful, joyful, and bright florals - I centered every design decision around my vision for the flowers - and she achieved it. Whenever we show our photos to anyone, one of the first things they say is how beautiful the flowers are. We are so happy we found Blooming Spaces and if you are considering working with Kathleen - 1000% do it.

Gorgeous flowers, Expertly set up, All within Budget!

Kathleen worked with me "long distance" via zoom to create fabulous colorful flowers for my daughter's wedding. The results were more lush than I'd hoped. She was clear on what we wanted, and kept the whole thing close to our budget, which was amazing giving the beautiful results.

Stunning!!!

We had Blooming Spaces do our wedding and it was wonderful!! Money well spent. Kathleen was on top of everything from the start and made the process so easy. I gave her very little guidance (probably too little, sorry!!!) and she ran with it. Our flowers were STUNNING and perfect in every way. ❤️❤️❤️

Loved my florals!

Kathleen at Blooming Spaces was so helpful with all our wedding florals. Florals was the aspect of wedding planning I knew the least about ahead of time so I especially appreciated her willingness to explain and talk me through things. She never made me feel like I was asking a stupid question - which I can't say for all of the florists I spoke with. She was communicative and provided detailed estimates, arrived on time for delivery on the day and the florals all looked great! She also offers very competitive rates for the area.

Gorgeous wedding decor

Blooming Spaces created gorgeous wedding decor and beautifully transformed our wedding ceremony! All of the decor turned out way better than I expected and I could not have been happier!

Wonderful experience

Kathleen did a great job customizing flowers for my wedding. She bought plastic urns and mocked them up with a stone textured finish to match the look I needed for my outdoor manor ceremony, and followed my color palette and general flower species aesthetic with very little direction.

Blooming Spaces made our event beautiful

I can not say enough wonderful things about Blooming Spaces and our wedding flowers this weekend. Kathleen was a joy to work with over the past couple of months, and she took all of our many, many changes and made something truly beautiful for our big day. Not only had we found Kathleen after our original florist was unable to complete the job and she was ready and willing to work with us, but she also dealt with all of the uncertainty surrounding our wedding due to covid. She listened to what I wanted, and even though I didn't have a real vision or any knowledge of flowers, she somehow surpassed all of my expectations.

Beautiful flowers and wonderful coordination

Blooming Spaces was the obvious choice for us as soon as we started communicating with Kathleen. She was so receptive to all of our ideas, and went back and forth with us sharing pictures of arrangements she could do and in what colors to match our vision. She was also SO flexible - we kept adding things pretty much up until the deadline two weeks out! She handled everything quickly and so professionally, and our wedding flowers were absolutely beautiful, the nicest arrangements I have ever seen at ANY event (maybe I'm biased!). I would highly recommend Blooming Spaces to anyone looking to talk through their vision with flexible experts.

Stunning work!

Kathleen was so wonderful to work with and she created floral arrangements that were perfectly in line with my pinterest vision board!! The floral swags on our ceremony arch were stunning and she worked with me to make sure I could have my dream garland table pieces while staying in my price range. She was quick to respond to all communications which is hard to find in this industry. And also one of the least expensive florists I received a quote from in the area. I would highly, highly recommend!

Perfect arrangements

Kathleen's arrangements were absolutely breathtaking. The flowers were so fresh that weeks later, we are still enjoying the centerpieces as well as the bridal bouquets. She delivered the flowers exactly on time and assisted in getting everyone's boutonnieres and corsages in place. Her work is gorgeous and she is a dream to work with. She has incredible vision in putting things together. The colors of the flowers she selected worked perfectly with our wedding colors.

Talented and wonderful

All the flowers arrangements whether it was for center pieces or alter were designed beautifully . Flowers were very fresh and fragrant . Kathleen incorporated flowers that reflected chosen wedding colors. Bridal bouquet as well as bridesmaids were absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful flowers for May wedding

We had a great experience with Kathleen from Blooming Spaces. From the beginning I gave Kathleen a price range I was comfortable with and she never went beyond that range unless I asked her to. She was very clear on the types of flowers available for my wedding time period, what options were available and the type of decor we could use. She responded timely to emails and was professional and courteous. Flexible even until the last week when I asked for MORE flowers! My flowers were amazing and I was trying to find every way to keep/share/save whatever I could when the wedding was over. Thank you Blooming Spaces

Kathleen was amazing. She took our vision and made it come to light. Our wedding venue was ceiling to floor dark wood and with a white tablecloth and Kathleen's gorgeous flowers it became a beautiful romantic statement on each table. Could not be happier. Thanks Kathleen and Blooming Spaces.

We cannot thank Blooming Spaces enough for the gorgeous flowers on our wedding day! We loved working with Kathleen - she made it so easy to choose flowers, making suggestions based on pictures we brought to her, and creating our vision! We had been looking for a florist for a few weeks when we came across Blooming Spaces, and had reached out to Kathleen for more information. She immediately set up an in-person meeting at her shop, where we got together to discuss all of the possibilities for bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, center pieces, church flowers, etc., and it was so nice to hear from someone who knew how to put together what we wanted. Kathleen was also super flexible throughout our wedding planning - we cannot remember how many times we emailed her asking to add or change flowers based on new things coming up. She gladly made the changes, sending us revised contracts each time, allowing us to continue to make changes pretty much right up until the wedding. Kathleen even went to our church to test out pew clips for the pew flowers we wanted!! Kathleen was a dream to work with and we would highly recommend using Blooming Spaces. We cannot thank Kathleen enough for making our day perfect!

Kathleen from Blooming Spaces was wonderful! She provided floral services for our wedding. She did our centerpieces, ceremony flowers, bridal bouquet, and corsages/boutonnieres. I interviewed several other florists before deciding on her. When I first met her, I felt very comfortable with my choice to go with her. She is very detailed oriented, honest, and talented. Kathleen from Blooming Spaces was my top notch florist! She was flexible with my requests and I loved my bouquet! My mom mentioned that it should have been bigger but I really liked the size of the bouquet. The flowers she created for my wedding party were absolutely beautiful. I had no idea what they would really look like and I loved the colors and the different flowers she used to create them. I also loved how the arbor was decorated for my ceremony. I had sent her pictures of my idea but the reality was so much better then I had envisioned. I highly recommend Kathleen for all your flower needs! I did not use her for my centerpieces as I wanted something unique but if I had used real flowers, I know she would have an amazing job as well!

Kathleen was great to work with. She really wanted to work within our budget and gave us quotes for two different centerpiece options at two price points. In addition to our initial consultation, she even made a trip to Alexandria to see the church where our ceremony would be held and meet with us again. All of the flowers were absolutely gorgeous and we got lots of compliments on them. We sent centerpieces home with family members and they were fresh for over a week. Would highly recommend Blooming Spaces.

Kathleen was super responsive to my bouquet requests, and flexible about the delivery location. She helped me figure out not just how I wanted my flowers to look, but who should get corsages and boutonnieres. Kathleen was wonderful, and I would highly recommend her services to any bride. When I had my consultation with her, she took plenty of time to listen to my vision, look through my pinterest board, and talk with me and my mom about what she had done previously and how we could make it work for us. She even helped me with a unique idea I had for my bouquet to honor my grandfather. She was incredibly kind and professional, and was a true joy to work with.

The arrangements she provided were stunning. The flowers were extremely high quality and fresh, we couldn't have been happier with the way they turned out. We also sincerely appreciated that she did not try to "up-sell" us--she was honest about how we could cut costs and helped us find creative ways to do so. She even assisted us in taking the remaining arrangements from our wedding to a nearby assisted living facility so that the residents could enjoy the flowers for the life of the arrangements. We are so grateful we found her to do the flowers for our wedding, definitely give her a call!

Kathleen is amazing! I had no clue what I wanted for flowers and know nothing about flowers. She had been recommended by my venue, so she knew what looks best at different areas. I brought in what I had for center pieces and she went from there, pairing colors with what my center pieces were. I can say that I was blown away on my wedding day. Everything was fantastic and I loved the color and flowers she had picked out for me. I keep looking at the pictures over and over again! You will be very pleased :)

Not sure where to start - I can go on and on about Kathleen and her crew.
She did an amazing job with my wedding last month. She listened to what I was looking for and provided helpful suggestions to help me stay within my budget! She accommodated all changes I made and tweaked them to make sure my arrangements were beautiful! She understands the challenges of planning weddings & knows how to make a bride happy.
Kathleen pays close attention to details - things I wouldn't even have thought about.
There are so many florists out there (and I consulted with a few), but the level of service and expertise I got from Blooming Spaces was by far the very best!
I will recommend them any day & even happy to provide additional info on my experience with them!

Kathleen Hoxie from Blooming Spaces did an outstanding job providing bouquets, floral arrangements, and table decorations for our daughter's wedding!! Her prices were extremely reasonable.... she is an absolute marvel at floral decorations. My daughter lived out of state and she was always available for a consultation when she was in town. Blooming Spaces was the perfect florist for our wedding. They worked with us to fit our budget and still have beautiful flowers. They showed up on time with our flowers and even pinned the boutonnieres on the groom and groomsman. They were so professional and our flowers were wonderful.

I really had no idea what I was doing when I started looking for a florist, but Kathleen made everything seem so simple. She has tons and tons of books on flowers and can tell you exactly what would look nice together and give great suggestions. She was always responsive. We changed our minds more than once and ended up adding extra boutonnieres and bouquets to our order, and she was very accommodating. The day of she was very helpful and pinned on boutonnieres and corsages for everyone. She had a great attention to detail and was very helpful.

Flowers were beautiful. We rented an arch as well, and the swag that the florist decorated it with was great. Overall, excellent service at a reasonable price.

Kathleen at Blooming Spaces did a great job providing me with gorgeous flowers for my wedding. She conducted a detailed interview and asked tons of questions to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted. Everyone commented on how beautiful the flowers were, and I'm having my bouquet preserved so I can display it at home!

Kathleen was wonderful to work with. She listened to what we wanted, made suggestions and the end results were more beautiful than we could have ever expected. Plus her prices were much more reasonable than other florists we talked to. We would definitely go to her again for another event. She also answers emails very quickly which is helpful when you have questions.

Kathleen did the flowers for our wedding and we had an excellent experience with her. She was very helpful in the consultation as well. I needed guidance with regards to flower types and also needed to fit within a budget. I didn't know much about what types of flowers were available and she helped provide suggestions which really fit the ascetic i was going for. I felt she was very reliable and was there as expected on time before our ceremony. She was also very responsive with questions we had along the way. The flowers were beautiful and the bouquets were really well arranged. I couldn't have asked for a higher quality job.

Kathleen at Blooming Spaces is wonderful. She is very professional and was a great help in selecting flowers for our centerpieces and bridal party flowers. We met with having little idea on what flowers to choose other than some callas on my bouquet. She talked to us to get to know us a little better and was able to make suggestions that went great with our vision and personalities. Our venue looked amazing with the simple yet perfect centerpieces and other decor that Blooming Spaces created for us. I had a last minute request just a few days before the wedding as another of my decoration ideas fell through and they were able to help us and put together exactly what we wanted to make our tables look awesome! Also, everyone is still talking about not only the beuty of the center pieced but also how beautiful the bouquets, and boutoneers were.

Working with Kathleen was amazing! She was able to ease my stress and indecisiveness. She was able to incorporate a lot of my families traditions and requests with ease. She gave me multiple options and was accommodating when i changed my mind after signing the contract. we had a lot of the flowers dropped off at our house and they were still alive and beautiful when we got home from the honeymoon. highly recommend!

Kathie was an absolute pleasure to work with! I came to her with a picture of a bouquet I fell in love with from a wedding website and she made it come to life.
She was quick to respond to my questions and flexible in scheduling to meet in person. She gave great suggestions but also listened to what I wanted and didn't push me to things I wasnt interested in.
It was very nice of her to deliver the flowers herself directly to our venue. Everyone commented on how fresh, full, and bright the flowers looked. I was definitely in LOVE with my bouquet and the wedding party's flowers coordinated beautifully.

I highly recommend Blooming Spaces! Kathleen was wonderful to work with and our flowers were beautiful. I could go on and on, but here are just a few reasons she is fantastic: (1) my husband and I met with Kathleen not knowing quite what we wanted, and she patiently talked to us and showed us examples for a couple hours; (2) she made a sample of the centerpiece for an upcoming bridal show and gave us two free tickets so we could check it out in advance; (3) I was being particular about type of stones in the base of the centerpiece and she searched extensively to find just the right ones; (4) her prices are very reasonable; and (5) like I said, our flowers were gorgeous!

Working with Mrs. Kathleen was a complete pleasure. She was very helpful at giving us ideas for our flowers. She was very flexible and very responsive via email and phone! Our flowers were delivered on time and they were just perfect. The centerpieces were uh-mazingly pretty, and my bouquet was exactly how I wanted it to be.

My husband and I were very happy with their services and highly recommend them to anyone :)

My husband and I were beyond pleased with Blooming Spaces! From the moment we first met Kathleen, we knew we could trust her to deliver quality flowers on budget. She is extremely knowledgeable and is the only florist that provided an itemized flower proposal--it was truly incredible. Beyond the planning process, Kathleen's flowers were absolutely gorgeous--from bouquets, to Mother of the Bride/Groom corsages, to the centerpieces, everything was radiant and matched our wedding colors perfectly. I wish I could rate Kathleen and Blooming Spaces a 10/5 as we were so overjoyed with our flowers and the service she provided us. My daughter had a vision for the reception flowers that Kathleen was able to turn into a reality. Stunning! All the flowers had the attention to detail that a Mother of the Bride hopes for. Even the Flower Girl bouquets had a subtle sprinkling of glitter, which they were crazy about. Kathleen Hoxie of Blooming Spaces is wonderful. She was so easy to work with and is such a calm person herself it makes the wedding planning easier. The flowers were stunning on the tables....a burst of summer beauty. ALL the flowers were beautiful and so fresh. They looked great even days later. Kathleen from Blooming Spaces provided the most beautiful flowers for my daughter's wedding. Kathleen met with us and spent the time asking us questions and finding out exactly what my daughter wanted and recommended the flowers that matched our budget and matched my daughter's desires perfectly. The ceterpieces at the reception were absolutely gorgeous! The flowers carried by my beautiful bride and bridal party were just breathtaking and the single gerber daisies carried by our 8 precious flower girls were stunning. Kathleen knows her business and goes out of her way to make the brides day as special as she can. As a final note, she let us bring special jewelry pins from my daughter's grandmother, great-grandmother and uncle who are no longer with us to pin on her bridal bouquet so they could walk down the aisle with her in spirit......it is these little touches that Kathleen adds for her client's to make their day special and take all the worries away. Blooming Spaces provided fantastic door to door services for our wedding this past July 30th (2011)--Kathleen was exceptionally responsive and very receptive to all of my ideas! Once I finally settled on the vision for our wedding (southwestern/cactus) we developed a great plan for floral accents to compliment the cactus centerpieces. The quality of the flowers were amazing--so delicate and beautiful. The bouts for the gents and the hair pieces for the ladies were extremely well crafted and looked great on the suit jackets and lovely in the ladies' hair. Our wedding was perfect many thanks in part to the excellent services provided by Blooming Spaces :) Thank you Kathleen for contributing to the success and perfection of our day!

I was a bride who did not want to spend a lot on flowers due to the view at the wedding location and Kathleen was able to work within my budget. She was willing to use the vases I had already purchased and wanted to use, even though many other florists I met with pushed for me to use their vases. I wanted my flowers to be an accent to our wedding - not on the main stage - and Kathleen struck the right balance. Would definitely recommend her to other brides.

Kathleen's work was great! She understood my vision for flowers and worked with me. She was very flexible - writing me after our meeting with additional ideas for flowers and working with me to incorporate mine while staying in a reasonable budget. She did a beautiful job with my bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, reception flowers, and cake flowers. (Church flowers were done by church.) She was extremely patient, easy to work with, responsive and available. On the day of the wedding she was professional, on time, and clearly took care to make sure everything was in order. Our wedding flower arrangements were absolutely beautiful and colorful. I used white lilies, roses with baby's breath in a flowing cascade for my wedding bouquet. I used a white lily for my groom. I used white roses for the wedding party and including both mothers. We also rented pillars of all sizes. Kathleen was very professional and detailed accodring to what I desired and wanted for my wedding. She is local to Loudoun County, VA area.

This is the second time we use Blooming Spaces. The first time was for my sisters wedding and now my wedding. The flowers received so many compliments during the wedding. Kathleen created the exact look as I wanted for all flowers the centerpieces were out of this world and bride bouquet was very exquisite. Both time Kahtleen arrived early and prepared everything on time. Blooming spaces is defiantly a company to work with for everything not just weddings.

Kathleen and her floral designs and decorating ideas were perfect for the open-house reception we gave for our newlywed daughter and her husband. From the fireplace, to the accent areas, to the food tables and wedding cupcake topper, my entire home was transformed into a wonderful reception gala. The Pittsburgh black & gold wedding colors were unusual for a winter affair, but Kathleen knew exactly what flowers to suggest to attain the look I was going for within my budget. Her personable manner, professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail provided a warm, wonderful, festive atmosphere for the 125+ guests throughout the day. Kathleen and her staff did an amazing job. She really listened to the style of flowers that I wanted and got every detail exact. While we didn't want an overly floral wedding, she really made the flowers stand out as a masterpiece while meeting out needs. Perfect!!!

Kathleen's work is exceptional! The flowers for our speical day were one of my favorite aspects of the wedding. The ceremony, bouquets, and table arrangements were gorgeous. Katheeen took care of the pre-ceremony set up and had everything ready in plenty of time, so I had no worries. She also offered to show a sample of my very own bouqet at a wedding show that I attended. I offered a few changes, and she made them and I coun't have been happier with the finished product. Thank you for making my day so speical. I would reccomend her to anyone who desires a classy, eleganat, and beautiful arrangement of flowers.

Blooming Spaces provided us with wonderful flowers for the wedding. We wanted a very fall feel to our centerpieces and they were perfect. We provided them with jars for the ceremony and centerpieces but they were able to set everything up at both the ceremony and reception and it was perfect. We decided close to the wedding date that we were going to do a first look and needed them to be there earlier than originally planned and they were able to work with us and get there earlier without a problem. We really enjoyed working with them.

Kathleen of the Blooming Spaces was very professional, responsive to questions, and flexible. We appreciated that she spent time with us talking about flowers and outlining different options. She also was able to adjust to the change of setting/weather. The price was comparable to, and even better than what others in the area offered, but we thought the bouquets could well be bigger for the money paid for them. All in all though, working with Blooming Spaces was a pleasant, stress-free experience.

Kathleen was great to work with. I didn't have a lot to spend on flowers but still wanted beautiful decorations and centerpieces. When writing up the contract she gave me 3 different options with 3 different price points which was nice so I could pick and choose.She did the flowers for the ceremony, reception, cake flowers, bouquets, and boutonnieres. All of the flowers looked amazing the only problems were with the bouquets and boutonnieres. Shortly after she dropped off the bouqets my all white bouqet started to turn brown. We quickly put it in water but we had a long day ahead of us of pictures before the ceremony even began. It held up ok but was still slightly brown for most of the day. The grooms boutonniere completely broke, the rose broke off it's stem before we even left the hotel. He had to get 5 pins to keep it on him during the pictures and ceremony. The cake flowers looked beautiful but I had wanted all blue hydrangeas the ones we got had a greenish tint to them as well as blue.

The owner was far from a warm and fuzzy, inviting personality. My experience with everyone else in the wedding industry was that they are aiming to please the bride, groom, family...whomever is paying the bill. She was not at all. Having never planned a wedding before, and being from across the country and planning from the west coast, I admittedly did not have a clear vision; however, was hoping to use her expertise to be a guide. She wanted answers to her questions and that was it. When I amended my plans over the course of the months as the planning continued, she presented as less than flexible and almost as if she was being "put off" by my questions. Emails from her were downright rude. Had I been planning locally, I would have never contracted with her; however, I had to select a florist in a weekend when I was in the area. I definitely had to keep a mantra in mind over the course of my interactions with her. If friendly and sweet are a must, you will not find them with her.
