Everything you want in a DJ!!!

Big Daddy is the BEST! We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. He was welcoming and exciting, kind and energetic, while still maintaining a level of professionalism. He communicated well with all our guests and the night flowed smoothly because of him. I can't recommend him enough!

Wedding Reception

Allen Walker is first of all one of the sweetest and most genuine people you will ever meet. He will most likely greet you with a hug when you first meet him. He is extremely easy to get in contact with, responds very promptly (for me it was always within the same day), and is very flexible. He knows what questions to ask, and also shows interest in getting to know the two of you as a couple. Before our wedding reception, the way we input all of our info that he needed was very user friendly and fun to use. I was so worried about not remembering all the little details that came to my mind at random moments. However, his website took care of that for me. You can input absolutely every detail you could ever think of into his website for your event. It is amazing. When it comes time for the event itself, you’ll be blown away by his bubbly personality and skills. The music, lights, small scale setup, music volume, and announcements were all executed perfectly. I will never regret having him as our DJ. He made the day unforgettable.

Simply the BEST!

My husband has known Allen, or as most may know him, Big Daddy, for a number of years now, so when it came time to looking for a DJ for our wedding, there was NO question! Allen was both our Officiant for our ceremony as well as our DJ for our reception. From start to finish, all was wonderful. On top of our beautiful vows that Allen’s wife, Debbie, assisted us with, we also appreciated his flexibility and openness to adding in our unique unity cocktail ceremony. He beautifully portrayed our relationship throughout the ceremony and we loved it. When it came time for the party to start, he was no longer Allen, he was Big Daddy! He worked so hard and alongside our coordinator to keep us on track and on time! There were a few times my husband and I slipped behind in time due to pictures but Big Daddy was ALWAYS able to pull us back and get us caught up! The whole day and night went so smoothly and there is no way that would have been possible without him! Allen was always so responsive, helpful, professional and organized. On top of that, he was always so friendly and exudes this true happiness to see you each time he greets you with a smile and a hug for a meeting. Big Daddy Walker Productions played a huge part in the success of our wedding day and we are so appreciative! Thank you for all you have done for us!

There is a reason this DJ has been voted best of weddings for multiple years in a row! Allen Walker is extremely easy to work with and he is very good at what he does. Big Daddy Walker was highly recommend from a family friend. Not only was he our DJ but our Officiant as well. I can't imagine using anyone but Big Daddy Walker Productions...truly a class act and SO much fun! Our daughter and son-in-law had such a great experience with them all during the planning process....they never worried about the details...BDW took care of all of that. They are so experienced and really tune in to your personality and make it just what you are hoping for, and then some! They have a great connection to a virtual photobooth that you definitely do...you take pictures and text them to a special number and have an instant slide show during the reception...so much fun! (Fotobomb) If you haven't considered this vendor, just call them...you'll change your mind!! Thanks for everything, Alan...the Swisshelm/Russell wedding was an absolute BLAST!!!

Big Daddy Walker Productions is AMAZING! They took my wedding to a whole nother level of class, fun and romance. They literally made sure that everything went smoothly and that everyone got up and danced. I didn't have anything to worry about. I even lost my garter and Allen had a Spare one ready just in case. I can't thank them enough for everything they did. Hiring them was hands down the best decision I made (besides choosing my husband). I Know my wedding day would have been a desaster without them. They made my day special and made everyone smile and have fun. My favorite part of the day was sitting and looking around and seeing everyone I love smiling and having fun. That is all because of them. Do whatever you have to do to hire them and you will not regret it!

Allen, Debbie and staff made our wedding the perfect night we thought it we be. Allen officiated our ceremony which fit us perfectly. The vows and readings that Debbie provided were exactly what we wanted. Many, many of our guests have commented what a wonderful ceremony it was. The reception was equally as great. My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with our entire experience with Big Daddy Walker! From the first meeting we had with him we were treated as if we were longtime friends instead of prospective customers.

We were so comfortable with him that after our initial meeting that we decided to hire him as both our DJ and officiant.

He was always very easy to reach and very willing to give his experienced professional opinion on anything including music, lighting, ceremony, and timeline.

Big Daddy Walker (BDW) and his wife (Debbie) have vast knowledge and experience with many different styles and versions of wedding ceremonies. We were able to work with them to customize our ceremony exactly how we imagined it.

The day of the wedding BDW and his wife did an amazing job setting up the lighting and effects for the ceremony. They were both very attentive to us to make sure that we were not too nervous or overwhelmed by the entire process. The ceremony went exactly as we planned it and BDW did an amazing job as the officiant.

We received many compliments about the music throughout the night. BDW has a great intuition for what songs to play when to keep people engaged and on the dance floor. He even got out on the dancefloor to help teach people some different types of line dances!

We certainly cannot imagine having our wedding DJ’d or officiated by anyone else. We fully recommend BDW to anyone who is looking for a wedding DJ, officiant, or both!

I could not have asked for a better D.J. experience! This was better than I ever imagined a D.J could be at the Wedding. The highlight of the night was when Big Daddy himself led the Wobble! My friends were still talking about it weeks later. He and his wife were so easy to work with and so kind and professional. They made the experience so easy and met with us on our own schedule to get to know what we were like as a couple to match the music with our personalities. They also had an amazing selection of music and were able to get odd songs that most people have never heard of for our dances. I was so pleased when I came to my reception and Big Daddy Walker and his wife were there to DJ for us (we expected someone else that worked for the company). With everything else that was going on that day I knew he had the music and DJ under control. One of the key reasons why our reception was perfect! Best DJ I have ever seen and could ever imagine! We loved using big daddy walker productions! They were very helpful when meeting with them before our event to pick out songs and organize our wedding! Our DJ was Jeremy And he was AMAZING! Big Daddy Walker Productions was the best DJ service we could have hoped for! They were very friendly and we felt they took a personal interest in our special wedding day. They made us feel like family and personalized the music to us, our venue, and our guests. We had 2 meetings with them and both times they were helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. We needed ceremony music at our venue in addition to music for the reception. They were able to do both for us! When my fiancé and I first got engaged we didn't think music would be as important to us as some other things. We also felt our guests were not going to be up for dancing too much. We were wrong on both accounts! He did a great job introducing our wedding party! The music started the party and made the guests feel involved in our big day. DJ Tommy was great at choosing the music and was able to tell which songs guests wanted to dance to. He was great at helping announce the timeline of events to our guests and helping with transitions. Our guests had such a great time everyone was dancing until the last moment! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ service for our wedding day!

Big Daddy Walker DJ was fantastic from the very beginning to the end. They assisted us with many suggestions and also helped us with song choices. They are professionals and easy to do business with. They are very nice people, wanting to help in every way. The DJ that was assigned to our Wedding was organized, very in tune with what was going on and what we needed. We didnt have to worry about anything. We were able to enjoy our wedding knowing our DJ was handling all, knowing when to cut the cake, first dance, garter and bouquet throwing, etc. I would recommend with pleasure this vendor to anyone .

Allen was amazing! He and Debbie met with us two times prior to the wedding to make sure he had the music we wanted. Allen worked very hard during the wedding to make it fun and relaxing. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Big Daddy Walker Productions twice now. The first time was at my sons 2011 wedding which was an outdoor wedding/reception. They went above and beyond our expectations that evening. We even kept them longer because everyone was having such a great time. So when our daughter became engaged it was now our turn to do the planning and we knew without a doubt who we wanted to hire for the musical entertainment, Big Daddy Walker Productions. We met with them and knew they would handle everything just the way we wanted. So on a July evening in 2013 our daughter had a beautiful wedding and a great reception. Big Daddy Walker Productions did an awesome job of "running the show" so to speak. They are so organized and collective that they handled everything the night of the event. It was a huge weight lifted off our shoulders knowing that they would be taking care of all the important moments. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I was initially disappointed that Big Daddy Walker himself could not DJ our reception because from the moment my then fiancé and I met Big Daddy and his wife we were blown away by their big personalities and upmost professionalism. Big Daddy had prior obligations and assigned DJ Jeremy to our reception. DJ Jeremy, while young and seeming somewhat timid during our meeting with him; still seemed outgoing and like he truly enjoyed his job. Our reception was great and he did everything he could to get my guests moving and even the stubborn ones who didn't dance made it a point to tell me they were loving his music. DJ Jeremy was a crowd pleaser even though some of my relatives were too reserved to dance the night away. I would recommend him.

Big Daddy did my sisters wedding and did an awesome job! There was no doubt that when our wedding rolled around that we would use them. At our consultations, they were very easy to talk to, they listened to our requests, and gave us great suggestions for the different events/dances. When it came time for the wedding day, they made sure that we were following the timeline we agreed upon. Debbie was very attentive and was there to take my husband's beer stein whenever it was time for us to dance, cut the cake, etc. My other sister just got engaged this past weekend, and I know she'll be giving them a call once she's set a date :) I would HIGHLY recommend Big Daddy and Debbie as your DJ for your special event!!!

After we booked our venue, BDW was the first call we made! (We had BDW booked before I picked out my dress.)
We had been to several of BDW's karaoke shows around the area and really liked the way he was able to read the crowd, change things ups, and get people on the dance floor.
We met with Debbie and Allen ten months before our wedding for an initial consultation and ending up talking with them for almost three hours! You would have thought that we were all old friends. Debbie and Allen genuinely cared about making our wedding absolutely amazing – and they did!
They are incredibly professional and familiar with so many venues and coordinators that this was one area that I was comfortable being very hands-off (which is not the type of person I am ). I did email about ten songs at 7:00 am the morning of our wedding to them, and they played them all! My hard-to-please mom was also very impressed that our DJs weren’t “college kids working a part-time gig.” They were also really great to my five year old son and younger cousins when they requested their favorite songs. I really can’t say enough good things about BDW. They are so much more than DJs. Allen is so in-tune with what the guests are liking and wanting to hear and Debbie will be by your side checking to see if there’s anything you need all night.
My best advice for brides-to-be in this area is not be enticed by the DJ companies that throw out really cheap offers at bridal show – you get what you pay for.

The music was awesome and everyone had a great time dancing the night away! Big Daddy helped us pull off a special bride and groom dance that surprised and entertained our guests. Everyone is still talking about the great dance music.
I was amazed how Big Daddy figured out exactly what we liked from meeting with us. He nailed it! And kudos to his wife too. She went above and beyond with meeting all our needs throughout the night. They say your guests will remember your wedding if you have good music.

Big Daddy and his wife were amazing from our very first meeting. They went above and beyond the requirements for any dj and officiant. They both treat you like family and are genuinely nice people. Debbie was a life saver when one of my bridesmaids ripped their dress she was right there quick to help us pin and tape the dress back together! Everyone at our ceremony and reception could not stop talking about how great our music choices were and we owe that all to big daddy and Debbie. We were behind in our planning and they were patient with us and gave us great ideas for music! My sister even made a comment about wanting a cd of the entire ceremony and she couldn't get over how great our music was.Big Daddy and Debbie help you plan out your entire evening and make sure everything runs smoothly and on time. They both take the time to walk you through everything so you feel prepared without question. Allen big daddy walker was also our officiant for the ceremony. Everyone said that our ceremony was beautiful and extremely professional. We can't imagine looking back at our wedding and having anyone else but Big Daddy and Debbie share our special day with us...we will forever be grateful for their help and kindness.

I highly recommend this service to anyone looking for a professional DJ and MC service. They worked with our budget, were very professional, had just about any song you wanted, and managed the entire night flawlessly. They gave us a very reasonable price and I don’t think you get any more value than what they provided.

This is soo late! My Daughter was married 12/17/11. Alan and Debbie were AWSOME!! From our first phone conversation to the last dance at the reception..Simply FABULOUS!!! They make you feel like family, treat you like family and deliver first class service all the way!! I cant say enough about them or reccommend them enough!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Big Daddy and Debbie!!

Well, I am not sure where to start on this, so I guess the beginning is the best. We met Allen and Debbie for the first time during our initial consultation. We left with our mouths dragging on the ground. We sat with them and started to talk about what we wanted, etc. They then asked us a bunch of questions about us, our likes, dislikes, where we met, etc. This was something we never expected. They made it personal and REALLY cared about us and making that day special. They were not the first DJ service we talked to, but when we left we knew who we were using. We could not believe how they made this so personal and cared so much, and let me tell you, it showed the entire time we were with them. They were incredible in helping us figure out what music we wanted for each phase of the wedding. They knew what would work and not work. We ended up using all their suggestions because they were prefect and made too much sense. Our ceremony was outside with the reception inside. They got there, set up for the outside and moved to the inside without us even knowing they were there. We walked up to the stand and there was a microphone. We walked into the reception and music was playing. They were beyond professional. The music was great and played at a perfect volume. Now, to go onto one of Allen's biggest strengths. After dinner he was trying to get people to dance. Apparently we have lame friends :) because no one would dance. That DID NOT stop Allen and Debbie. They kept at it, found what people wanted and the next thing we knew, just about everyone was dancing and having a blast. They both have a gift for reading people and a crowd to see what will motivate them. I could not have been happier when near the end of the night both Allen and Debbie came out and danced. It was like they were friends, not a hired service. I would never be able to write enough positive about Big Daddy Walker Productions. We COULD NOT have picked a better DJ to play on our special day. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a DJ for any occasion. By the way, a good cigar to Allen makes him even happier :)

Big Daddy Walker Productions did a great job of filling in the gaps where we didn't have a clue. They found plenty of music that we loved when we couldn't find enough to fill in the time. They ran the reception extremely well, got people to be involved, dancing, and enjoy themselves, and overall made the reception a relaxing breath of fresh air. We didn't have to worry about a thing and could just enjoy our friends and family.

When looking for music, try to find songs that others will want to dance to, not just songs that you enjoy. We found many songs that we both absolutely loved, but they were more fun to simply listen to on an iPod or a radio than to dance to at a reception. Big Daddy Walker Productions helped in this process, and found songs that we would never have thought of, but enjoyed nonetheless.

They even took care of logistical problems that we didn't even know were there until after the wedding was over. In short, we were super relieved to have Big Daddy Walker Productions at our reception. We would do it again in a heartbeat and we have no regrets whatsoever.

Big Daddy (Allen) and his wife Debbie know how to run a business! We had our first consultation at their home where I was asked to tell them how my fiance and I met and how he proposed. Big Daddy and Debbie wanted to get to know us as a couple first and then talk about what we wanted out of our reception. They tailored the music around what we wanted and played every single song that we had requested to be played. They cared about every detail of our reception and wanted to make sure that everything went as smoothly as possible. During our music consultations, if we could not come up with any music ideas, Big Daddy had a list of songs ready for us to listen to. Him and Debbie really helped make the music selection so easy. Big Daddy also plays a wide variety of music and really has a knack for reading the crowd and choosing the right music to play to either get the crowd going or keep their energy up. I never worried once during the reception about the music, I was able to dance and have a great time at our reception. If you want someone who cares about your reception and cares about making your reception your own, then you need to hire DJ Walker for your reception. Him and Debbie are a blast!!

I first met Big Daddy Walker at a bar when he was doing karaoke one night. My friends and I had so much fun with Allen and sang all night long. He blew every other karaoke DJ I had ever seen before right out of the water. A few months later my then boyfriend proposed to me and I quickly began planning. I didnt have to think at all about who I wanted as the DJ at the reception, I immediately thought back to that night singing karaoke at the bar and knew Big Daddy Walker was the one I wanted. We set up a meeting and got to work right away. He and his wife are so sweet and are really helpful when planning the event. Not only do they ask questions about the wedding and reception but they asked about me and my husband so they could get to know us better and find what really suited us and our personalities. The website makes planning very easy and they are easily accessable if you have a question or need help. The night of my wedding reception was and will always be one of the best nights of my life. BDW made the night so much fun and everyone had such a great time. I received many compliments on how awesome the DJ was and how much fun they had with him. Not only would I recommend Big Daddy Walker Productions to anyone that is looking, but I kind of wish I could get married again so I could repeat the awesome night he helped create!

I took way too long to write this review we got married 11-11-11 and DJ Big Daddy Walker and his wife Debbie were amazing. They made it the best night of our lives!! They were both quick on their feet and went with the changes. Had GREAT music!! People are STILL talking about our wedding and how we have to do it again every month. Wish we could afford to LOL. But for real this is the best DJ every!!! He was also our officiant, it was very heart warming and so nice. Very professional!!! I wish we could do it again I would recommend them 1000times over! It would be crazy to go with anyone else!!!

I contacted BDW Productions maybe only a month before my wedding because the DJ I had booked was falling through. I was a very scatter brained bride by this time. BDW was very fast at responding to any phone call or email. After meeting Allen & Deb my stress was gone! They are a very nice couple! It is obvious they love what they do. I just knew everything was going to be great, and it was! BDW is very personable and took on more roles than just a DJ making our day a success and very memorable!

To make this crystal clear before I start praising Allen Walker (Big Daddy) and his wife Debbie, I want to point out that I am writing this review from Waikiki Beach in Hawaii! It's THAT important that I let any future brides and grooms (or people planning a party in general) how awesome this man and his wife were for my wedding. He deserves every extra bit of attention that this review can gather.

First, I'm going to boast that I met BD and Debbie when they had a home office, before their fantastic service generated so much attention that they had to upgrade to an actual business location. BD told me over the phone that he felt that if his patrons were serious enough to have the kind of personal relationship with a DJ that one must have when developing an intimate party like a Wedding, then he should be able to welcome them into his own home for that planning to happen. From the beginning he and his wife were very professional, giving plenty of advice, asking tons of questions, and making sure that they had everything they needed for their role(s). They offered an extremely competitive price to my now-wife and I, and even bent over backwards to assist us in broadcasting some of the live music we had!

On the actual wedding day, BD and Debbie were more that DJs...they stepped up as coordinators and gave us tons of feedback in directions for music and the events. I have never seen someone as talented at reading a crowd as Big Daddy Walker - he kept the dance floor PACKED for our 5-hour long reception. If the dance floor at any point had space for more people, it was because the crowd that had overflowed it needed a song or two to let their feet heal!! Big Daddy and his wife Debbie have all the same things any other DJ (should) have - online tools for planning music, quick correspondance, flexibility, great value for your money - but keep in mind that beyond that stuff he has an actual GIFT for keeping a party going, and even more importantly - he has an unbelievable heartfelt desire to make your event as perfect as possible, and you will be amazed at how sincerely he works to make your dreams a reality on your special day.

I did not have a clue as to who to pick for a DJ for my reception and ended up making a post on Face Book to get a feel for who everyone had used. My husband's cousin came back and mentioned the name "Big Daddy Walker". I looked them up on the internet and gave them a call. After sitting down with Big Daddy Walker and talking for about 30 minutes, I looked at my maid of honor and said this is the guy I want for my DJ. I had not even met with any other one , but already knew I was picking them. They were so easy going and I enjoyed just sitting there and talking to them. They are great with people, personable and truly just enjoyed their company.
I went to see Big Daddy Walker with my maid of honor due to my husband being deployed in Afghanistan. I have truly never met a vender, much less people who are more sympathetic and respective of our men in uniform.
They were great at making sure everything was planned as well and made sure to keep in contact with me the whole way. Their web site for planning was truly amazing! I never once felt like I could never get in touch with them, and I always got a quick reply.
The night of my reception was awesome! Big Daddy Walker more than listened to what we wanted played, he knew exactly what we would want without telling him. He helped me to pull off a cake and garter gag on my husband. It could not have gone over any better!
He is great under pressure and I don't think there is anything he cannot do! This is a DJ not only with the professionalism and talent, but the heart and kindness and great personality to go with it! Their compassion for our men uniform is so amazing as well! I promise you will not go wrong choosing Big Daddy Walker as your DJ. They were my first vender I talked to, and I did not need to look any farther!

We hired big daddy walker productions for a surprise 50th birthday. From the beginning they were very prompt in their responses. There were very personable and professional as well during each conversation we had. Allen was very knowledgeable and in tune to exactly what music selection we were looking for. He was able to choose the perfect entrance song when we were left clueless and overwhelmed with where to even begin. There services were overall outstanding! From the quick set up and the personality showed throughout the night. We would easily remember there company for future events and not have to worry about an outrageous expense! There services are well worth the price. The entire party was blown away!!

Big Daddy Walker Productions is the best DJ company in the area. They really get to know their customers on a personal level. His prices are VERY reasonable. His online planning website makes it easy for you to plan your big day complete with timeline for the receptions, to must be played songs and even a list for songs that you don't want played under any circumstance. H ekeeps things moving on track and stays in touch with you through the whole process. I wouldn't have haad any other DJ at my big day! Big Daddy and Debbi were very helpful for the music aspect of my daughters wedding from beginning to end. The night of the BIG wedding was very sucessful due partly to their services. They helped my daughter with song choices and made some very good suggestions to help her through! And when the reception kicked into full gear on the dance floor there was barely a free space. In fact, the crowd begged for more and we decided to keep them around for a little longer! Great job Debbie and Alan we will definately recommend you to friends and family in the future. And thank you for being so helpful and patient with us!

WOW!!! What a once in lifetime event that Big Daddy Walker Productions was a part of. They were there on time, great people and they help choose the right songs for your wedding that make your wedding a dream come true. The price is great and all the guest loved everything about them. Absolutely amazing, our day couldn't of been more perfect and that was thanks for our DJ, I would absolutely recommend big daddy walker to others. We used Big Daddy Walker Productions for our wedding in May and were very pleased. They did a fantastic job with the music and kept the party going on the dance floor. We also used Big Daddy Walker as our Master of Ceremonies and once again he went above and beyond our expectations. Big Daddy Walker Productions and his entire staff are very fun, exciting, helpful, but most of all, very professional. They had a wonderful website were you could pick your songs out prior to the wedding and set up a time line for the wedding. The entire Big Daddy team was extremely professional, punctual, flexible to our needs, and determined to give us the best experience possible. They tailored their services to our wedding and even advised us on how to a few things. Our DJ and officiant DJ Doc was committed to giving us a beautiful and custom ceremony that he designed especially for us. He ran our rehearsal and made our wedding a beautiful occaision. Big Daddy Walker Productions was very easy to work with. They contacted me quickly after my first inquiry and worked with me on a short turn around time. They were friendly and professional and worked on making sure that our event reflected our personalities. Everyone had a great time and I didn't have to worry about a thing! Big Daddy Walker does a great job of being organized and taking everything you vision your vibe to be into consideration. He also manages all of your preplanning wishes and combines that with reading the crowd during the reception in order to provide the atmosphere you desire.

I thought it was great that he not only provided the planning tool, but also sat down with me a few weeks before the wedding to go over everything in detail to make sure he understood and had every last bit of information.

In terms of having the two DJ package that they provide, I cannot elaborate too much in this area. While everything went smoothly, I don't know how much of a role he played in that to make him worth the extra cost.

I also docked one star for professionalism. While I realize this is a self owned business and trying to promote future growth, I don't think a wedding is an appropriate time to advertise your business. While he did it in probably the best way possible by thanking us on behalf of his business, it was still a little bit of a put off.

After the wedding I did receive lots of compliments on how great the DJ was and how that was the most fun they have ever had on the dance floor at a wedding from individuals of various ages and backgrounds. All in all, I'd say it was a "Win" in terms of vendor choices.
