Cakes by Ron far exceeded our expectations. They created not only the cake of our dreams looks wise but it tasted magical! We were so happy and impressed with all the vendors included at our venue (Baker's Ranch) which includes Cakes by Ron. Cake price was a reasonable price for a beautiful and delicious wedding cake. We would highly recommend!!! -

We had an awesome experience with Cakes by Ron! We got married at the Resort at Longboat Key Club and so they highly recommended CBR and they did not disappoint! I am also gluten free and they were able to easily accommodate and make our cake gluten free, not to mention it tasted amazing! -

Cakes by Ron made our beautiful wedding cake and cupcakes. The cake was gorgeous and delicious. I just wish the different flavors of cupcakes could have been distinguished but they all looked the same and we had three flavors. Maybe change the color of cupcake liners for each flavor. -

Our cake was included through our wedding venue, Longboat Key Club, and the Cakes by Ron team went above and beyond to make our wedding cake dreams come true! We loved the tasting a couple months before our wedding. The Cakes by Ron team was very professional and thorough in their follow-up phone calls and coordinated with our florist, Beneva, to get the floral decorations for the cake. The cake looked and tasted incredible! Can't wait to have the top layer for our one year anniversary -

Wonderful cake flavors and design!! :)
We had our wedding at the Resort at Longboat Key Club, and lucky for us, that came along with a cake from Cakes by Ron. We had our tasting and design appointment with Nathan, and he was amazing! He helped us design our dream cake, and even let us have an additional tasting when we didn't get to try everything we wanted. We had a 4 tier cake, each with different flavors, and everyone loved all of them! Would highly recommend for any event! :) -

We booked our wedding with Lido Beach Resort, which offered a cake with Cakes by Ron included in the package. We met in person at Cakes by Ron and they had us try several types of cakes and frostings that we were looking at. Holy cow, all of them were amazing and it was extremely hard to choose! We settled on fresh, tropical flavors and every layer was different. Each layer was so delicious and so many people were blown away by how delicious it was! We also asked for certain things on our cake, and they absolutely delivered. Our cake was a huge hit at the wedding! Thanks Cakes by Ron! -

We are very pleased with cakes by Ron’s cake he made for us for our beach wedding! They are absolutely flexible because we changed our date and the size of our cake a few times! They matched the flowers from a picture perfectly on the cake! We got red velvet and amaretto flavored with cream cheese! Both were equally amazing! Definitely recommend them! -

We loved having Cakes by Ron catering our wedding!
Everything from the display, to the cupcake filling was incredible!
My only complaint is that they didn't take into consideration my inability to have portion control. Just kidding lol. Daniela was the one who came and designed our display, we could tell that her and her team back at the shop put their all into their work!
Our designing process was so much fun, and the tastings left us wanting more! They brought our vision to life through their impeccable talent and wisdom!
We HIGHLY recommend Cakes by Ron to anyone having a sweet tooth. Watch those portion controls!! -

Our cake exceeded expectations!! The flavors we picked were just the right amount of flavoring and filling! We had them decorate the cake with sugar shells and they were beautiful! The cake wasn't dry and the fillings/icing had the perfect consistency. Even though it sat on our cake table for a couple of hours, the icing didn't melt and it looked perfect. Also, our leftovers tasted just like it was served fresh! I was so happy with our cake and I highly recommend Cakes by Ron! -

Not only do they offer gluten free options, but the cake is delicious! The team was flexible to work with when we needed to move our wedding date from our original date. Their team even called to recommend an alternative cupcake display two days before the wedding. It was perfect!

Cakes by Ron was included in our wedding package, but you don't need a wedding package to have your cake made here. We were able to set up an appointment for taste testing and for what we wanted our cake to look like. The displays at the bakery are gorgeous. We ended up with a three tiered cake made of red velvet and funfetti. We were able to get it beached theme to match the rest of our wedding. The cake turned out amazing and tasted even better. Will definitely be coming back for the cupcake's as well! -

Cakes by Ron was recommended by literally all of my vendors for delicious and artistic cakes/cupcakes. We ended up choosing to go with cupcakes - and they did not disappoint! Our guests are still raving about the different flavors, and wish we could get them up here in Michigan! We didn't get to do a tasting, but once looking through their flavors - we weren't concerned about that. The cupcake display was exactly how we imagined it and the team at Cakes by Ron was super easy to work with! From the minute you walk in, it looks so adorable with the decor and the scent is amazing!! There is a separate tasting room with soooo many gorgeous cakes on display. We met with Nathan and were greeted and asked if we wanted coffee, which was also amazing!! He brought out actual full size cupcakes in 5 different flavors. Oh my GOODNESS!! Let’s just say they were hired the second I walked in the door!!! Nathan did a sketch of the cake and answered all of our questions!! We may also have cupcakes as well!!! I wouldn’t consider anywhere else but Cakes by Ron!!!! We’re excited to have our cake done by them! -

We absolutely loved our wedding cake made by Cakes by Ron! The team was super responsive and easy to connect with. They were happy to answer any questions we had along the way.
When we went in for our tasting Ron was very nice and calm, a great energy to be around when you're planning your wedding! We ended up getting a three layer cake by them (each layer a different flavor, all amazing and delicious!) with sugar flowers! The flowers were so well done they looked real!
The whole experience was amazing. And the cake tasted so good and looked beautiful! Thank you!!

The most amazing cake I ever could have imagined and tasted!! The team at Cakes by Ron are a true talent, they will bring your vision to reality. I met them through my wedding planner, Jennifer Matteo. My husband and I got to meet with them in July, prior to our wedding, for what was probably one of the best part of wedding planning- cake tasting!! Cuz who doesn't like tasting delicious samples of cakes. Everything we had during our sampling was delicious but honestly the final product was incredible. We decided on 4 different flavors! So glad we did because every bite was like a new dessert offering to our guest. We haven't gotten our pictures back yet but will share when we do- the design of our flowers were out of this world and the color's were exactly what we wanted. From the moment you step foot in their Sarasota store you willl see their "art work" but when it's your own your heart skips a beat. I can't wait to order future cakes from them to celebrate memorable occasions! I have a coworker who just got engaged and was at our wedding and wants to order their cake from Cakes by Ron (for a guy to say this you know it must be good :)) Thank you Cakes by Ron!

I did a last minute surprise wedding and Nathan was a pleasure to work with. I showed him a few ideas I had on Pinterest, he drew it out on paper, and made it come to life. Amy Sent on 05/31/2018I had a small wedding party and thought of getting regular cake but I really wanted a WEDDING cake. I saw an ad with a picture of a cake and knew they were the bakery for me. I spoke with Nathan and he designed a gorgeous, perfect 3 tier cake that rivaled the bigger wedding cakes in magnificence. It was even better than what i pictured in my minds eye AND as a surprise for the groom the inside cake was purple :) I'll add more pictures when I get them from the photographer this was my first preview! (The topper is not on it either)may I add that with Ron it was a stress free experience. I did a tasting and they asked me what I thought I wanted and just did it. Every other place I called didn't even take the time to find out what I wanted before quoting me exorbitant prices or simply telling me they had no time. Here they were willing to deliver it to the beach, on a Sunday without batting an eyelash. If you want something fabulous with terrific people, that ends up making your wedding party say WOW! when they see it and come back for another piece, use Cakes by Ron. Thank you all for enhancing an already magnificent day <3

I had a last minute change of heart over the flavors of one layer and called to change it, no problem! The design was exactly what I was envisioning and I would definitely recommend Cakes by Ron to anymore! They're delicious and beautiful. We even had gluten free cupcakes for some family and friends. We had salted caramel for our bottom and top (our favorite), red velvet, and a chocolate whiskey cake we created. So good!

Morgan Sent on 07/01/2017We're so thrilled we got to work with Cakes By Ron for our wedding day. Our cake was DELISH (alternating tiers of funfetti and banana, yum!!) and so, so beautiful. Nathan and the CBR team made my cake vision come to life perfectly, executing a gorgeously simple, four-tiered semi-naked cake, which my florist topped with a few fresh blooms. It was beautiful!! And soooo yummy.
CBR also made our wedding favors — chocolate chip cookie sandwiches with buttercream — which were really delicious, and so cute. They wrapped them for us and used the customized stickers we printed as well.
CBR was incredibly easy to work with, and very accommodating. They even let us have a last-minute second cake tasting because we were second guessing our flavor choices — at no charge! It's a very nice team working there.
I'm so excited to eat the top tier on our anniversary :) Can't wait! It's THAT good. -

Nicole Sent on 11/28/2016By far the best cake place in town!! We had a four tier wedding cake and it was to die for. They made it exactly like the picture and it tasted amazing. Our guests were raving about how good the cake was. We had 3 different flavors on 3 tiers and people were looking to try all 3 because everyone was saying how delicious it was! -

He did such a beautiful job! Not only was the cake beautiful and extremely detailed, but it was equally delicious!! We will be back for cupcakes on our anniversary trips! Thank you again!!
