Poor Quality & Customer Service
We do not recommend Kevin and I’m not one to write poor reviews, but the customer service was poor and he was not willing to work with us. DJ Kevin Strange did an Okay job, but it was not worth what we paid due to the quality of the sound and the beat-up equipment took away from our beautiful wedding. The sound was distorted as there was a blown speaker which he refused was an issue but was earlier hitting it with a mallet and putting one back together as he claimed it fell. There should have been a backup plan. Our original DJ had to back out due to health and got Kevin lined up for us and it was a bad experience. Kevin was hard to work with and would not do anything as far as customer service since the quality was so poor. Our DJ that was originally supposed to do it was the one who helped us.
Our unity song was incorrect until halfway through and the coordinator had to correct him. He claimed he was playing the right song and eventually realized he was wrong as she showed him the wedding run sheet. For the reception, we specifically had noted that there was a mother-daughter dance instead of the announced father-daughter dance. Guests had to go up and say the music was too loud during the meal as well. It would have been okay at that volume if it had been clear-quality audio. The audio was better for the reception than the ceremony but still was not very clear and of good quality. We just don't see the value for what we paid compared to what we got due to the circumstances. It was, unfortunately, the worst part of the day and the venue even said that they will not recommend this DJ come back. Sure, the guests still had a good time, but many people saw the poor quality. We wanted a DeeJay to have great quality and who was easy to work with. Hope this review helps so you can avoid the issues we had.
