I have been staring at the Andre's wedding cakes in the glass case in the front of their restaurant since I was six, and I finally got one!! It was exactly what you'd expect of Andre's; a giant version of their rich, delicious pastries. I was not picky about the design so I can't vouch for their ability to copy whatever page you've torn out of a magazine, but I can promise that your guests will be raving about your delicious cake long after it's gone, crumbs and all!

I may be biased, since I work for Andre's...but they made my dream cake(s!) exactly the way I wanted them (from a photo I found on the web). And they were delicious!

Other reviewers have said that Andre's does not deliver - and that is not true. Andre's can deliver to most locations in the KC area (sometimes even further) and set up the cake for you.

I would advise coming in either before or after lunch to meet with them about your cake, since it is busy during lunch. A great time is just after lunch (2:30) when you can take the big book of wedding cakes into the tea room and browse over coffee and a pastry!

I love Andres and I would have had them do my cake if I had gotten married in Kansas City. Since I wed in Dallas, I had ordered chocolate favors from them instead. I ordered 2-piece truffles (boxed) - one milk, one dark. I believe I could have picked other flavors, but thought those would be the best. Ordering was pretty easy. Since the weather can still be warm in Texas in October, I decided not to have them shipped. (They might have been able to ship them with something to keep them cool for extra cost, but I can't remember) Instead I had my parents pick them up. We love their chocolates and were not disappointed. It was a nice touch for wedding favors.

I gave Andre's a picture of a cake I saw in a magazine and they were able to replicate it perfectly. They were very up front of what they can and can not do. They don't promise you anything they can't fulfill which is nice. They dont rent out cake stands but other then that I was very happy with them.

    Great price!
European cake for $3/slice! For Marzipan Fondant!
    And beautiful too!!!
Delivery is hard to find, since they don't do it themselves.
Also, calling them and booking them was hard as they were always so busy with customers!

The cake was beautiful and delicious! The quality you would expect from a bakery that has been around for over 25 years. The major drawback is that you have to transport your own cake. We had to drive the cake from the Plaza to 151st Ter on the Kansas side. It made it one piece.
