Three months ago, we got married at Occasions at Laguna Village, and our wedding was truly the most magical, perfect day we could have ever asked for. There wasn't a single hiccup, and it is a day we will cherish and remember for the rest of our lives.

Danya is absolutely incredible and guides you through every step of the wedding planning process. She is patient, kind, and genuinely invested in bringing your vision to life. She made me feel heard every step of the way and helped turn my dreams into reality.

The venue itself is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and located in a stunning setting. The staff at Occasions went above and beyond to make both my husband and me feel like royalty. If I needed anything at all, a staff member was already there and ready to help before I even had to ask.

One of the things we appreciated most about Occasions was their flexibility. Unlike many venues, they allowed us to choose most of our own vendors and were very accommodating when it came to the decor and personal touches we wanted to incorporate. We even wanted to do a T-shirt toss during our reception, and they fully embraced the idea!

The vendors they do require you to use—the bar, catering, DJ, and bakery—were all outstanding. Every single one exceeded our expectations and truly represented the best of the best. Having those vendors already selected by the venue took away so much of the stress that comes with wedding planning.

Our wedding day was everything we dreamed it would be and more, and it would not have been the same without Occasions at Laguna Village, Danya, and their amazing staff. We will look back on that day for the rest of our lives with so much gratitude, and we will always be thankful that we chose this venue. We cannot recommend Occasions enough.

Our wedding at Occasions earlier this month was everything we could have asked for. Dayna, our wedding producer, was excellent. She thought of absolutely everything, made sure we stayed organized (including keeping detailed notes and decor lists), and adjusted things along the timeline and setting based on exactly what we wanted. We only needed a couple of calls with her and some texts back and forth throughout the planning process for everything to come together. Dayna also gave us many recommendations when we asked for other vendors and locations (after party, hotels, luxury restrooms). On the day of, Dayna was organized, communicative (but never interrupted the natural cadence of the day), and kind. She is an absolute pro, and we were in the best hands with her. Andrew, the catering manager at The Cliff, ensured we had an incredible meal that tasted as delicious as the tasting - a hard feat when feeding over 140 people. He was so generous with his time and flexibility, even as we changed our menu and plan multiple times. Family and friends raved about their meals and were impressed with every bite. The rentals, florals, entertainment, and bakery all included was perfect; it made for less work on the front end, and everything was stunning, engaging, and delicious. We have only gotten the highest compliments on our guests on the level of service, the vibe (obviously the setting!), and the timeline of the whole day. We highly recommend the Occasions for any engaged couple looking for a venue with zero reservations. Thank you to the whole Occasions team for making our wedding day so spectacular!

Booking our wedding with Occasions at Laguna Village was the easiest and best decision we could’ve made! Planning a destination wedding was so seamless because of the all inclusive nature of the venue but also because of their amazing wedding producer Dayna!

We had several helpful planning calls with Dayna and she was always so kind and helpful. She gave amazing directions and advice during planning and truly listened to our ideas and vision. On the day of, she and her team executed everything perfectly. I wasn’t stressed or worried on the day of because of her!

Working with the provided vendors was a great experience. It was such a stress relief to know they could be trusted and worked at this venue before. We selected Flower Jubilee as our florist and Jean did an amazing job! Her arrangements and execution of our vision was spot on.

Rossmoor pastries provided our delicious and beautiful cake and they worked with Dayna for the delivery and setup.

Epic 1 DJ kept the party going and everyone got on the dance floor throughout the night. He also did a great job at executing the timeline and kept things running smoothly.

Lastly, the catering by the Cliff restaurant was phenomenal. Andrew was so great to work with and really accommodating. During our tasting it was hard to select the meal because everything was so delicious.

All of our guests raved about how beautiful and fun the wedding was and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

My husband and I had our wedding here at Occasions and it was everything we had dreamed of! Every single person that helped us from the first walkthrough to the reception it was all absolutely wonderful and easy. Dayna was unbelievable with always being available for questions and she made everything so seamless. Andrew with F&B was amazing and so helpful, made the tasting so much fun and catered to our preferences. The staff on the wedding day from the bartender, DJ and servers were all so friendly and professional. The views at the venue are the most beautiful views as a background for the wedding. Everyone was in awe of the views the whole day.

If you love the beach, Occasions at Laguna village is the perfect venue for you! Besides the gorgeous view - the people that work at Occasions truly made our dream wedding a reality. Cori showed us around the venue and was very knowledgeable when we asked questions. Dayna, the venue coordinator, is absolutely amazing and helps you not only just on the day of but also through every step of the planning process from the time of booking! The included vendors were also fantastic - Andrew with The Cliff, Shealyn with Fantasy Floral Designs, Rossmoor Pastries, Todd our DJ from Epic1 Entertainment were all so kind and, alongside some amazing outside vendors, helped make the day memorable!! Cannot recommend Occasions enough!

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding at Laguna Village, and we can’t recommend it enough! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Dayna was an absolute superstar throughout the entire wedding preparation process. Her calm, detailed, and organized approach ensured that every little detail was taken care of, allowing us to relax and enjoy our special day. On the wedding day, Dayna was a true professional, making sure everything flowed seamlessly. I can’t say enough good things about her and her ability to help create such a magical day!

The food and bar service were nothing short of spectacular. A special shout-out goes to Andrew at The Cliff restaurant, who was fantastic during our food tasting and on the big day. He made sure the service was impeccable and that everything ran smoothly. His professionalism and kindness really stood out.

Our DJ, Gus, had the entire crowd dancing all night long, creating an incredible atmosphere for everyone to have an amazing time.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Laguna Village, and The Cliff for anyone looking to have the perfect wedding day!

My husband and I just got married here and we could not have been happier with it. Almost everything is included in this venue (food, bar, florist, cake, DJ, etc.) which makes the wedding planning process so much easier. The location itself is stunning and we got the most amazing sunset during our ceremony.

Dayna is the wedding planner that works at Occasions - she was so on top of things and detail oriented which is exactly what you want from a wedding planner. She made sure all details were figured out before so the day of the wedding my husband and I could just relax and enjoy the day.

Where to start! We got married at Occasions on November 4, 2023. Even before we put the deposit down, we were met with professionalism and confidence putting me and my now husband at ease. Dayna is excellent at her job and made the planning process very smooth and easy. Going into the wedding weekend, I felt calm and relaxed knowing that the day would go off without a hitch and I was right! Her team did an amazing job coordinating between all the vendors so I just had to show up and get married. The catering manager Andrew was so easy to work with when figuring out the signature drinks for the bar, as well as helping us make sure the food matching the vibe we wanted for our wedding. DJ Todd from Epic 1 entertainment kept the party going with our dancefloor being packed all night, as well as some fun extras. 

I would highly recommend Occasions for any of your wedding or event needs. I am so thankful to them for making our special day easy, seamless and one to remember.

If you want to get married close to the ocean, then this is the right venue. Truly the best views you will ever find. Also the venue is incredibly flexible, the packages are affordable, the vendors are all amazing and Dayna is incredibly helpful. Just got married this past weekend at Occasions and I could not recommend highly enough.

I held a celebration of life for my husband as opposed to a wedding which is their specialty however they rose to the "occasion" and went with the flow. They made a sad event a true celebration.

Andrew is a most talented chef and a dream to work with. Dayna is beyond organized and made everything perfect. The wait staff were most efficient, helpful and professional.

The food was fantastic and beautifully presented. All of my guests were most complimentary. The setting can't be beat particularly on a beautiful summer night.

The most magical day ever.
If you are considering getting married at Occasions, you have found a wonderful venue that provided my husband and I with the best day of our lives. It really exceeded all expectations, not only because of the natural beauty of the venue, but because of how wonderful the staff was during the entire process. We had some weird requests, and they didn't bat an eye. Dayna, the day of coordinator, was very very on top of everything and it made me so much less stressed out than I would have been without her. She was constantly reaching out to me with reminders during the year leading up to the wedding, and on the day of she was on top of the wedding timeline and really helped the wedding party know what to do and where to be. I was at ease the entire wedding planning process and owe a lot to her. Andrew, the Cliff and bar manager, was wonderful and also allowed us to have some weird requests, and his bar staff was incredible and they handled our party guests amazingly. I wish we could redo the entire day, it was a blast and we are thankful to have a place to visit and get dinner at to reminisce! Thank you Occasions!!

Absolute perfection! Top notch establishment at a breathtaking location, with amazing staff, service, food and beverage! Dayna, Andrew, Cory and the entire staff were incredible! From day one in our planning and beyond, we were treated like royalty and our wedding was like a absolute dream! We wish we could get married over and over again at Occasions! ❤️

We had an impeccable corporate event with Occasions at Laguna Village... 80 person buffet style dinner, open bar, DJ, dance floor, karaoke, and photo booth. The location is simply breathtaking, the staff was courteous and helpful, the food was delicious, and the bartenders were fun - perfect for our group. The Dj, Todd - Awesome and such a good sport to put up with our craziness! Dayna helped me with everything - she was the glue that held everything together and also made it perfect; and when I say held everything together - I mean rain... But she turned a big deal into an easy fix and it was amazing, outdoing my expectations :)

To say that Occasions at Laguna Village exceeded our expectations as our wedding venue is an understatement. I would rate this place 6 out of 5 stars if I could!! My wife and I had our wedding on Occasions in July this year, and it was soooo BEAUTIFUL and AMAZING!!! Everything was perfect and we absolutely LOVED it!! All of our guests enjoyed our wedding, and many of them said this was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever seen! The seating and table arrangements, the arch, the color theme, the floral arrangement, the garden, and everything else were immaculately set up. The food was very, very DELICIOUS, and many of our guests said the same! Cliff Restaurant is now a favorite place to eat for not just my wife and me, but also for many of our guests :-)

The day after our wedding, my wife and I went back to the Cliff Restaurant for lunch since we really like their food. While waiting for our table, we happened to bump into Kathy and Cori! We expressed our gratitude to them both, and it was a privilege meeting Kathy for the first time!

My husband and I were married here March 2022. If you're looking for an intimate, beautiful, and easy wedding venue - you found it! The package options that Occasions offers make it easy to plan a beautiful event that you and your family and friends will enjoy! Dayna, the coordinator, is experienced and incredibly helpful. Andrew, the Catering Manager is beyond professional, knowledgeable, and made our plated dinner a spectacular experience! Dayna is connected with vendors that are highly rated and have extensive experience which made the planning process easy and stress free. This venue was a dream for our wedding, and I wish we could relive it over again because everything was magical and perfect. Thank you to the entire Occasions team for making our wedding dreams come true.

Chose this venue for our wedding and so glad we did! Dayna the coordinator was so on top of things and did an amazing job making sure every detail was perfect and just how we wanted it. We did a package which was almost all inclusive, so I had to minimal planning to do, exactly what I wanted. Dayna also provided a vendor list and recommendations for the things we did have to plan for. The prices were reasonable, but the ocean view was priceless! The food was delicious! Turned out to be an amazing day, better than I could have ever imagined, thanks to Dayna and the Cliff restaurant.

Great View! Great Wedding! Great Help!

My now wife and I had the pleasure of getting to know Occasions, the venue we fortunately chose to have our wedding.

After now going through the entire experience such as interviewing venues, designing the wedding day, the actual tasting for food selection, and finally our big day, we feel so fortunate for how fantastic everything turned out... AND we actually got to enjoy the day free of worry thanks to how well they have everything coordinated!

Dayna and her crew were AWESOME! Loved every minute of my special day and wouldn’t have changed a thing! Planning during an ever changing pandemic was challenging but Dayna and her vendors totally pulled through and I had the wedding of my dreams! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for that all inclusive beachy wedding in Laguna at an affordable cost.

If I could get married at Occasions at Laguna Village every day, I would. I LOVED our venue and we received so many compliments about how gorgeous it was and how smoothly the wedding ran. This is in part due to their amazing venue coordinator, Dayna Lewis, who knows the venue like the back of her hand and was one of our greatest resources during the planning process. They are very transparent about their pricing, provide you a list of incredible preferred (but not required) vendors to choose from, and have their timeline down to a T. We never felt like we were rushed or late for anything. The night flew by (in a good way) and everyone said it was such a fun party.

In meeting with Dayna for our details meeting, she was able to loop in our planner on the details and give us good suggestions of what to include or exclude. In conjunction with Andrew Turula, the catering manager at the Cliff Restaurant (who caters the weddings), they worked together to make sure everything was done perfectly.

We had the ceremony on the right side of the venue, facing the gorgeous ocean, and then the cocktail hour is on the left side with the cute gazebo and bar area. The staff is able to quickly flip the space (in under 20 minutes I believe) from ceremony to dinner/reception, and it looked AMAZING!

Occasions was the catch-all for most of our main vendors: florals, food and beverage, cake, and DJ services, and those vendors all seemed to know the venue well and I think that the working relationship between all of those parties helped make our wedding as spectacular as it was.

I highly recommend Occasions at Laguna Village as a wedding venue and was so pleased with our experience from beginning to end.

5 out of 5 stars doesn't even begin to describe how absolutely incredible Occasions is!! My husband and I got married here in July of 2021 and it exceeded our expectations on every level. Dayna, our wedding coordinator, was an angel! She was quick to respond to my every question or concern, and always stayed on top of our to do list. Every vendor I spoke with was excited to work with Dayna, they could say nothing but amazing things about her work ethic, organization, and kindness.

The view you will get at Occasions is unmatched! On a cliffside in the heart of Laguna Beach, we heard waves crashing, watched the sunset on the coast, and yes, believe it or not, dolphins were literally swimming in the waves past us during our special day.

Because Occasions is an all-inclusive venue, the headache of searching for caterers, a cake, a DJ, or florists was all taken away. Everyone we worked with was quick to respond, catered to our vision and needs, and made our special day everything we hoped for!

On the day of, our wedding ran seamlessly! There was not a hiccup to be seen! The food was AMAZING! Andrew, the manager for the Cliff restaurant, helped us create our delicious menu and made sure all the food and drinks for the wedding were a hit! Annie, our florist from La Tulipe created stunning centerpieces that beautifully incorporated our wedding colors. Todd, our DJ with Epic One Entertainment, had all our guests dancing ALL. NIGHT. LONG! And Stefani, our photographer, captured all of our special moments beautifully and efficiently so our guests were never left waiting for pictures to finish.

We have had so many of our guests tell us what an incredible wedding it was! You can not go wrong with getting married at Occasions!!

Look no further because you definitely want to get married at Occasions at Laguna Village! This venue is the absolute most gorgeous wedding venue in Laguna Beach! I got married on June 5th and had the perfect wedding on a perfect day with perfect weather. You really don't need a lot of decorations because the ocean is stunning enough! ​

What I love most about Occasions is that they offer different types of packages that meet your budget. Their package comes with preferred vendors that make wedding planning such a breeze and an awesome coordinator (Dayna) that was easy to work with every step of the way. I didn't stress one bit with the planning! Dayna has many years of experience and can be seen in her work performance. She was also very accommodating with our last-minute changes and adjustments.

We had our dream wedding at Occasions on 5.15.21. From the views, to the food, to the service, I could go on and on everything was perfect! Dayna is Occasions wedding planner and I could not have done any of it without her! Anytime I needed her I was easily able to communicate with her and she made our wedding so beyond perfect. If you are even thinking of choosing Occasions as your venue, DO IT!

We just had our wedding at Occasions and are speechless! Dayna and her team executed a seamless event (w/ covid protocols) and it was the best time of our life! We had to reschedule from May, which was frustrating and we are so appreciative of Occasions and staff for working through these challenges with us and making it possible for us to safely have an event.

When we were first looking at venues, we looked at several up and down PCH. All of them offered some type of ocean view, but Occasions was the only one that offered an unobstructed view for both the ceremony and reception. We were sold. We felt their pricing/packages were very reasonable and liked the fact that the DJ, cake, food, centerpieces and rentals are all bundled together. It took the stress out of finding vendors on your own. We did several upgrades which was also reasonably priced and let us customize the decor to match our tropical theme.

As far as the planning process, like these other reviews, Dayna truly goes ABOVE & BEYOND to make anything happen. No task is too big or too small - or too late (we were that couple that wanted to change up our grand entrance the night before!). Dayna works with all the vendors which makes your life very, very easy. She coordinated schedules and timing and is all over it during the event which lets you have all the fun. She knows everything about weddings - you are in great hands!

We are from the east coast and 90% of our guests were coming from there. With covid, only 1/3 of our guests came. Dayna and Kathy were understanding of the situation and worked through that with us. I’ve heard horror stories from other brides about venues not being flexible. Very glad this was not the case with us!

The food was fantastic! Andrew from The Cliff was so accommodating. We had several guests with specific dietary needs - including my brother who has a very limited diet, and Andrew was able to accommodate for everyone! We got so many complements on the food and bartender - portions were great and we were able to leverage the outdoor space for an “after party” which was really nice.

The DJ was great. My husband and Lucas were texting day before because we wanted to change things last minute and it was no problem (thankfully!). He’s so nice and was always available when we had a question. His company also has rentals so we took advantage of that and setup string lights which looked great after sunset. We created a playlist as well because we are music junkies and Lucas played everything we wanted. You will not be disappointed!

Safety-wise, Occasions took all necessary precautions and you wouldn’t even had known this was the second wedding to happen since covid! Everyone had masks, tables were spaced out and we sat folks together based off comfortability with one another (and where they were coming from). Everyone sat at their dinner table for the ceremony and honestly I think I liked this setup better because then you don’t have to deal with moving people around for cocktail hour. This worked out great! We also felt safe knowing everything is outdoors and on the water. The entire staff wore masks and used gloves to setup.

Overall, if you are wanting a waterfront wedding in an iconic area I strongly recommend Occasions. We wanted to give our out-of-town guests something unique to remember and Occasions nailed it. I wish we could do it all over again but I think one wedding is enough for now :). Cannot wait to see all the pictures!

I was very torn between this location and another (the other just fit our needs a little more). This was our second choice. This venue is PERFECT for a destination wedding or for the bride who just wants to show up in a dress and ready to get married (me). It’s a stress free process since almost everything is included and for a great price. The view is GORGEOUS! The staff was so responsive and very informative. I highly recommend touring this place. The view alone does not disappoint.

We had our wedding at Occasions on 9/14 and it was the perfect venue for us. We didn't want a ballroom type wedding and Laguna Beach is a special place for us. Most of our guests were from LA & OC and they were in awe of the beauty the venue provided; you can't beat the ocean views and amazing sunset at 7p.

Dayna Lewis executed our vision perfectly and was easy to work with. She knows weddings! The dinner and appetizers that the Cliff Restaurant provided were so delicious. You get a food tasting prior with Andrew the GM and he is awesome. Super easy to work with and accommodates your needs. The venue also includes a DJ (DJ Lucas) and he was great; he stuck to our playlist as much as possible.

If you are looking for an outdoor wedding venue near the beach Occasions is a great spot. They are easy to work with. You can make upgrades (chairs, dancefloor, linens, etc) as you see fit.

We had our ceremony here and it was AMAZING!!! Thanks to Dayna for everything!!! She worked with us on scheduling despite short notice, worked with all the vendors for set-up (we did nothing pre-ceremony, just showed up 30 minutes before and everything was already done), and even took some awesome pictures!

I photographed a wedding at Occasions on 06/16/2018 with Dayna being the venue coordinator and wedding planner. The venue was beautifully set up and clean. Dayna was very responsive and helpful over email and went out of her way the day of to ensure that the day ran smoothly. I highly recommend her!

Finding Occasions at Laguna Village and Dayna Lewis to plan our “destination elopement,” was a miracle! My husband and I wanted a very intimate wedding with the 2 of us and my 2 sons only. Most venues would not even call us back since it was such a tiny event. Dayna not only called me back but helped us plan the most perfect ceremony and dinner for our family. Every detail was better than we could have ever imagined. We are forever grateful to Dayna, Reverend Lewis, our DJ Luke, Amanda from Fantasy Floral Designs and Alvis Pham Photography!! Occasions at Laguna Beach, is the greatest venue to have a unique wedding. The ocean view, food, DJ, table/chairs setup etc is amazing at this venue. The wedding coordinator Dayna Lewis, did a fantastic job in coordinating our wedding event on 08/03/18 and because of Dayna our wedding event was a success. Our family & friends were all impress of this location. This is a beautiful place to have a wedding.

Occasions laguna hosted my guests and I for my wedding. It was the most magnificent venue with a sparse view of the ocean. Dana went above and beyond to help me plan the wedding of my dreams. I highly recommend getting married here!

We had our wedding at Occasions in May of 2017. There are truly not enough words to describe how incredible Occasions & Dayna are.

First of all, the location is just unbelievable. All of our guests were from the East Coast so they were truly left breathless by the views, especially the beautiful sunset! I loved how you can be right by the beach without actually being on the beach. And if you do want to get your toes in the sand the beach is just a few minutes walk away for amazing pictures after the ceremony! Second, the prices are really reasonable. They are a family run venue that doesn't up charge you for everything just because they hear the word "wedding". It is an all-inclusive venue too- so centerpieces, a wedding coordinator, DJ, cake, favors, etc are all included in the set price. That was one of my favorite parts & took a lot of the guesswork & planning off of us! The food is hosted by the Cliff restaurant- which was absolutely incredible (as it always is whenever we eat there). All of our guests were so impressed with how delicious the food was!

Dayna is fabulous in every single way. She truly takes dreams and turns them into reality and it is so inspiring to watch. She was so communicative the entire process (by email, text & call!)- even with the many silly questions I asked along the way! I was planning a wedding by myself with all my family back home so I truly had no idea what I was doing but Dayna helped me the whole way & was able to ease any concern I had. I kept saying all night "if I close my eyes right now and dream up the most beautiful wedding, it wouldn't even be as pretty as this one right here" and it is so true, and it is true because of Dayna!

I would recommend Occasions and Dayna to any bride that wants the most perfect wedding day!

I just had my wedding at Occasions at the end of March 2017 and everything about it was perfect. My husband and I knew we wanted to have a destination wedding in Southern California and we fell in love with this venue right away. Everything about this venue was perfect for us. First of all, obviously the view is absolutely gorgeous. I can't think of a more beautiful backdrop to our wedding, with the beach and sun setting right behind us.

We worked with our wedding planner, Dayna Lewis, who made the wedding planning process so easy and fun. This was especially helpful since we were planning our wedding all the way from Minnesota. Dayna thinks of everything so you don't need to worry. And on the day of our wedding, she took care of everything from behind the scenes so the day was totally stress-free and exactly what we wanted. She really listens to what your vision is for the wedding and executes it perfectly, and we can't thank her enough.

I also loved Occasions because they work with the same small group of vendors who are all EXCELLENT and know the venue well. Many of these things are also included in the wedding package, which makes wedding planning so much less stressful. I HIGHLY recommend Amanda Heer from fantasy floral - she made the most gorgeous bouquets and center pieces. They were the most gorgeous flowers I've ever seen. DJ Lucas was fantastic and worked with us for the music as well as photo booth and lighting. He made the night so much fun and worked with us to pick out music throughout the night. The cake, which is included in the package, is delicious. And the food from The Cliff is fantastic. I got so many compliments from our guests on all of these things. We also had our after party at the bar up above at The Cliff (same location) and we had a great time.

I cannot recommend this venue enough. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and even better than I had imagined.

When I was looking for a venue for our wedding, I wanted it outside around the beach or in a garden or park to take advantage of the beautiful So Cal weather at the end of April. We looked at a few places but the space at Occasions was just beautiful, especially at sunset. Although this was a little more than we had budgeted for our venue, we were glad that we spent a few extra dollars for Occasions.

Our wedding coordinator, Dayna was fantastic, she made everything from planning our special day to the actual wedding day as smooth as can be. We had not considered a wedding coordinator but since the venue provided one that is always a plus. Dayna really helped keep everything on track making sure that we had everything we needed. The other staff we encountered were also very friendly and helpful. The other consideration we decided to go with this venue was being able to have the ceremony and the reception in one place without having to have our guest travel between events. This venue also has a preferred vendor list which makes things easier because the vendors already know the venue and the rules so there's less hassle on your part of having to work out the details. The food provided by The Cliff was wonderful as well.

We knew we choose a great venue when our guests couldn't stop talking about the view and telling us how nice and pleasant everything was. We had guests from Indiana who couldn't get enough of the beach and we even had local guests that couldn't get over the view we had. Of course with everything there are a few cons to the venue, such as no dedicated restrooms for wedding guests only the public restroom upstairs in the village. Also, there isn't a room to get ready in, you have to get ready off site and arrive at the village ready to go. For me those weren't a huge deal and well worth working around considering everything else. We had our wedding on April 26, 2016 and to this day we are still reveling over the memories.

My husband and I got married at this venue and it was the most magical day of our lives! The service was amazing, ambiance was perfect and it was definitely such a day to remember that we came back to have our 10 year vow renewal!! I would recommend this venue to everyone!

I had my wedding day at Occasions on 11/5/2016. Wow. I was absolutely blown away by how our magical day came to life. Our guests were complimenting the venue all night long, and even after the wedding. We certainly gave our out-of-town guests the perfect taste of Laguna Beach, Orange County.

Dayna was an exceptional wedding coordinator- easygoing, professional, and kind. She even went out of her way to meet me close to my home for a meeting at a local coffee shop. She gave plenty of ideas and suggestions when asked, which I needed since I was planning a wedding without family close by. She was always responsive (by email, texts, and calls) if I had any questions or updates. Since we couldn't predict the weather, we were able to order heaters the week of our event. She truly takes pride in her work and is damn good at it.

I have to mention Andrew, the manager of the Cliff. He gave us the BEST food tasting months before the wedding. We had a buffet style dinner and couldn't have been happier with the food. (Neither could our guests!) The bar hosted a great selection of beer, wine, and liquor. It was set up in a sophisticated way and the bartenders were professional and efficient.

Also, DJ Lucas. He did a wonderful job of playing our personal music lists and incorporating his own playlists to fit the mood of the evening. He gave song suggestions for special moments which were really helpful. The cafe lights were the perfect touch to create the romantic atmosphere that we had envisioned. Our guests had so much fun with the photo booth, (props and backdrops provided), and putting together a beautiful scrapbook (attendant included) for us to take home (part of the package we customized).

Thank you so much, Occasions! I will be sure to refer future brides and grooms to this venue.

My husband and I got married on August 22, 2015 and it was the most perfect wedding ever! All of the guests were mesmerized by the amazing view that this venue had to offer! It is an all-inclusive venue, so we weren't sure what exactly we were getting, but everything turned out amazing! The food was by the Cliffs at Laguna Village and it was delicious! The cake by Rossmoor's Bakery and it was beautiful! Dayna was the day-of coordinator and she was great for the day-of and even sent us pictures afterwards of the details of our wedding. DJ Lucas was our DJ and he was absolutely great! Everyone had so much fun dancing! We had countless people come up to us after the event and tell us that it was the BEST wedding they had ever been to!

Words cannot even describe how perfect my wedding was with Occasions at Laguna Village. I had a destination wedding here so coordinating and planning everything from afar was challenging but Dayna made everything run very smooth and was so helpful. There were a few minor natural issues the day of the wedding (the abnormally hot weather, the wind, etc) but everything went off without a hitch and everyone was very flexible and accommodating. The Cliff catered and the food was just incredible. All of our friends and family keep talking about our wedding and how it was the best and prettiest wedding they have ever been to. I highly recommend this venue and the people at Occasions!

If your looking fo a venue with million dollar views but don't have a million dollar budget, Occasions at Laguna Village is the place for you. The treatment you will recieve is first class. the vendors they work with are the best of the best in Orange County. Our wedding even exceding the expectations of our dreams.

To both Andrew and Dayna, Thanks for providing us with a great and memorable wedding. We just wish it could have been longer but that is the way it is.... Great working with you and making it work with Blueberry Hill and Peter Merry.. and A Motion.. and how can I leave out Alan Katz! "My husband and I just recently got married on Cinco De Mayo 2012 at the cliffs. We could not have asked for a better location! The staff was amazing and helped make everything perfect! The view was amazing and made all the pictures extra special. Dayna our wedding planner helped us every step of the way and made for a stress free day!! She even took some photos for us for a perfect view. We used DJ Dave who they offer through their package. Let me just say he was THE BEST DJ ever!!!! Not only did he do everything we asked but he went above and beyond our expectations! After the ceremony when we were sitting down at our table for dinner he had prepared a photo album for us of the ceremony. Andrew was in charge of our food and bar and exceeded our expectations! For our tasting he let us box up and take home all the leftovers. The food is amazing I recommend sticking with the Cliffs restaurant for your food. Andrew worked with us up to the big day to make sure everything was perfect. We even worked out a special drink for the bar where we kept part of the proceeds. Everyone that came had a blast and loved our location. Kim from Tulipe Florists did amazing with our flowers and center pieces! It was beautiful! I am not sure if we were just super busy dancing and didn't notice but the only thing I would have changed was we never got a piece of our cake. But everything else made up for it. The memories I have of my Wedding day in August 2011 are memories I will cherish for a lifetime.
The memories begin with a venue which overlooks a beautiful beach in Laguna Beach, CA. I knew this would be the perfect back drop to an anticipated proposal for marriage. I contacted Dayna with Occasions at Laguna Village to discuss the details. Dayna took care of everything. The proposal was an unforgettable and emotional event with every detail taken care in a profession manner with a personal attention to detail.

My Fiancée and I considered several venues for our upcoming wedding however we always compared them to the proposal and the venue at Occasions at Laguna Village. Based on our emotions and experience we did could not consider another venue for our wedding. Dayna handled all of the coordinating of the event and without her experience and professionalism the day would not have been as successful. My fiancée provided Dayna the contact information for our flowers, music and associated vendors and Dayna coordinated all of the details. This attention to detail provided me and my fiancée the opportunity to share our wedding day with each other and avoid external distractions.

The catering for our wedding ceremony was provided by The Cliff Restaurant located onsite. The hand passed drinks and appetizers were hand selected by my fiancée and me during an onsite tasting which was prearranged by Andrew the manager of the restaurant. My fiancée and I sampled almost everything on the menu and fell in love with several dishes in including the bacon wrapped shrimp.

On the day of the event the professionalism of the restaurant staff was impeccable. The staff was very attentive to the needs of the guests and provided an enjoyable experience for all of our guests to share.

I would like to thank Dayna, Andrew and the entire staff at Occasions at Laguna Village and the Cliff Restaurant for fulfilling a dream and making it a reality.

If you are looking for a beautiful wedding with an amazing backdrop of the Pacific Ocean, this is the place. We had a wedding here on Sept. 26th and it was nothing short of fabulous! The coordinators are wonderful and provided help with everything we needed. The DJ made the party! DJ Dave knows how to get the party up and going. When we left for the evening tired and happy nothing was left behind because the staff had gathered all of our things and put them in our car. It was a dream come true for all of us. I highly recommend this venue. My daughter-in-law lives in Los Angeles and had very little time to plan a wedding so having a venue that provides so many services was invaluable.

Thank you soooo very much for the most beautiful day of our lives. We had so much fun that I was ready to do it again the next day. We are still getting phone calls from our guests telling us that was the best wedding they'd been to in a long time. The food was delicious, as evidenced by every morsel that was eaten, as was the cake. Occassions has their cakes in their catering package from Rossmoor Bakeries in Long Beach. Cheers for Rossmoor, there was only the top and one piece of each layer for my hubs and I to take home. Everyone loved it. It was stunning and the gazebo that it was displayed in was custom decorated by my sister and Dayna. Heather was an assistant coordinator to Dayna, so we had two that day. The flowers were beautiful and recommeded by Occasions, though my bouquet and the boutonnieres wilted fairly quick. But no one noticed and the venue was beautifully decorated with flowers exactly the way I asked them to do it. If something went wrong or there was a problem, the groom and I never heard one word or were bothered because of it. And again, no one noticed because they were all having such a good time. Our head count was short by 10 rude guests who RSVP'd and did not show. So there was one elegantly decorated table that sat empty, just like their mail boxes will be at Christmas! Whatever! Laguna Beach is really a dream location for your day. After the ceremony, your guests are moved into the garden area where the cocktails begin while you and your wedding party are escorted to the beach for photos. We had been concerned that the timeline was too tight and we wouldn't have enough time to dance, but because we chose to do away with the bouquet and garter belt toss and the money dance, we had time to greet each table (there were 8) and thank them and still get our dancing in. I think even if we kept those things in our reception, we still would have had time, they just weren't something that we were interested in doing at our wedding. Our sweetheart table was gorgeous. We met with Dayna 2 weeks prior to the wedding and she had some great ideas for the table linen colors to add to my ideas that added that extra touch that you need for an evening wedding. We had candles everywhere and a Unity Candle that Dayna carefully packed up for us at the end. Afterwards, we paid a little extra and had about 1/3 of our guests come upstairs to the bar at the Cliff restarant for our die hard partying guests to dance til 1am.

DJ Dave is part of the Occasions package and team, if you so desire, and an option that is priceless. Dave went beyound our expectations and videotaped the ceremony and our guests greetings. He got our first dance, played the track for the song that our teens wrote and sang for us, kept the crowd dancing and played every single song from the song list that i requested at the right time. Then he went as far as to burn a copy of the procession music, the ceremony music, the cocktail hour music and the dance music and gave me the CDs. That was more than we expected. I hope the groom tipped him accordingly ;-)

Occasions does provide you with your own coordinator for your day. But just like any coordinator, the bride and groom have to choose their colors, theme, music, food, cake, dress, photographer and guest list themselves. Dayna and the Occasions team put all that into play and keep you on schedule and make sure that any last minuted changes are implemented. The coordinators are not there to come with you to pick flowers or your gown, if you want that, hire a private one. If you can do that with your Maid of Honor and family members then you dont need to hire some overly booked busy coordinator that is going to charge you $5,000 for just showing up. Dayna and Heather were there the entire time from the early afternoon before the wedding started til midnight. They were professional and courteous to my guests. We got married in the middle of the wedding season and Dayna was calm, cool and collected and did her job beautifully.

We could not have had a better day anywhere else - we are convinced. It was worth every penny and was more then we ever imagined. Every couple expects something to go wrong on their big day, but we honestly did not have any problems that we were aware of or have any complaints. Our first date was at the Cliff Restaraunt, so that location will always be special to us, and when my husband found out that we could be married there, and that July 25th was still open, we were sold. We'll be back again for our 10th anniversary party and our kids get engaged (some day), we'll know where to send them.

We were married on June 26, 2009 at Occasions and let me tell you, it was the dream wedding. It completely exceeded my all of my extremely high expectations. The location and services provided are what dreams are made of, they made everything so easy.

It's hard for me to believe the negitive reviews posted on this site, we had the complete opposite experience with Occasions. Dayna was our on-site coordinator, and not only was she extremely professional and helpful but she allowed me to enjoy every aspect of my rehearsal and wedding day because I felt so secure in her hands. And this is comming from a type-A personality, I want things done perfectly. And what I appreciated most about Dayna was she listened to me, she was able to see my vision and then she perfected it. I couldn't have asked for a better location or a better group of people to work with, I highly reccomend Occasions, and I hope you have the same beautiful experience I did.

Everything was great!

We searched high and low for a wedding in our price range. We visited golf courses that high power lines hanging over the reception hall, we went hotels that looked better suited for a 1980's business convention and we looked at destinations that were you would expect full of college kids on spring break. Nothing met our expectations like Occasions at Laguna Village.

Our Wedding Coordinator, Dayna, continued to calm our nerves from the first time we bugged her 6 months before the big day, to her carrying us through the Wedding with ease and grace. They arranged the vendors for us, and around every corner that sounded to the future Groom as near detestable, we enjoyed meetings that were smooth and spoke directly to my fiance's "vision".

From the cake, to our florist, to DJ Lucas Early, they continued to impress us with arranging vendors that were professional, fun and affordable.

The day of our Wedding we meet our biggest fear, since the dreaded word "rain" was in the forecast. California having it's worse drought season in over a decade, and the one day the much needed rain was predicted to pour down from the sky was on our Wedding Day.

Luckily, with continued assurance by Dayna, the clouds parted just as the Ceremony began. The wind was something fierce and it was not the warmest of spring days, but the crew at Occasions made up for the chill with the warmth of a beautiful location overlooking the ocean, continued great service to our guests and of course... a lot of great booze.

Anyone that would love a perfect wedding in a place that seems way out of reach on a mid-size budget, needs to get married at Occasions in Laguna Village like we did. I could not have asked for a better day to start my life with my beautiful bride. Thank you to everyone from the beginning to the end.

I got married here in September and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. The sun was shining, the sunset was filled with orange, blue, pink hues, the food was better than the samples we tasted, the cake was gorgeous, everything was perfect. Dj Dave was an amazing DJ, he didn't go into the cheezy music, our coordinator, Dayna, was the single reason I didn't go insane the week before the wedding. She was so calm, organized, and professional, with the whole "you don't worry about a thing attitude" with me. And I know I can be a pain to work with. Things got very stressful but she made it all okay with her laid back, get-the-job-done attitude. A few minor details were missed, but they were not a big deal at all. She really was awesome and I can't thank her enough.

We had an amazing wedding and the cost of this venue was well worth it. Everyone had an amazing time and the venue was beautiful.

The day of, everything ran smoothly. I could not have asked for a better wedding day! It turned out exactly how I planned it in my head. Everything was beautiful and my guests said it was best, most beautiful wedding they had ever been too!

The food from the Cliff Restaurant was fantastic. We also did an open bar with a Sangria station and a ice scuplture martini fountain. Since we had the open bar, the extras were included.

We were able to chose all of our own linens, table wear, china, chairs, etc... I heard that one other company can book this site as well. Occasions works with a rental company so you can choose from any colors you want. We even went to them to pick out everything and see it all in person. Some things you have to pay extra for and it can get a little pricey but I am only getting married once and I wanted to do it right!

Andrew the manager at the Cliff Restaurant was also so wonderful to work with. He was very responsive and went above and beyond to make our day great! We had a 3 hour tasting and he boxed up all the leftover food and we ate for days aftewards. He had microbrew beer flown in from Idaho just for my husband and stocked the bar with my favorite wine. The Prime Rib with the peppercorn sauce is my new favorite food.

Honestly, I could go on and on about how wonderful everything was. I have no complaints. I read some people were complaining about parking but I asked my guests and they had no problems. I didn't have children at my wedding so that wasn't a problem either. Overall, I would highly recommend Occasions!

Such a beautiful venue. So many people had such great things to say about our wedding venue. Occassions is great to work with and provide a great foundation for a beautiful wedding site.

My daughter was married at An Occasion at Laguna Village in July. It was just beautiful. Kelly was our wedding coordinator, and despite the negative comments made about her, we found her to be very professional, courteous, and easy to work with. She was always on time, and returned email/phone calls promptly. The wedding started right on time, and she went out of her way to make the day run smoothly. Everything was perfect. I supplied all of the flowers/centerpieces/candles for all of the tables and aisle. Kelly put everything out the day of the wedding, which I'm sure took her hours to do. I expected to be charged extra because of the time she spent decorating. It was very detailed, and something I assume the florist usually does. But she displayed eveything perfectly, and I was not charged extra. I found her to be very sweet, and she even made a plate of food for me at the reception. Dayna was also very easy to work with, and I appreciate her going out of her way to make the venue as beautiful as possible for my daugher's wedding. The food was excellent. Everyone was commenting on how good it was. The cake from Roosmours was also very good, which I was concerned about because of some negative comments made. But it too was excellent, and looked beautiful. The pictures turned out absolutely amazing. We used Steve Hoffman, which was recommended by Occasions. The dj was great, and video tapped the ceremony at no extra charge. I would recommend this location highly if you want to get married at the beach.

This place is so beautiful! We had our wedding and reception here. Everyone was extremely helpful and very organized. It is a private place overlooking the ocean. You can here the waves crashing. Everyone tells me that was the best wedding they have ever been too. Breathtaking!!

Gorgeous venue but customer service is not great!

Occasions at Laguna Beach offers a beautiful view and the pricing was pretty fair. Andrew who is in charge of food and alcohol is wonderful and accommodating. Our servers and bartenders were great, dj was great. Our main issues were with Dayna the venues wedding coordinator. Dayna knows the venue like the back of her hand and pays attention to detail which we appreciated. But our main issue was how she treated us and our vendors on the wedding night. I had multiple bridesmaids, vendors, family members etc. that reported attitude/snapping from Dayna. My photographer reported that she refuses to return to the venue due to Daynas behavior. We understand that Dayna wants everything to run like a smooth ship and that it can be a task managing that many people at once, but she needs to relax a little and let the bride, groom and wedding party enjoy their time without being pushed. Again, we appreciated the attention to detail from Dayna but we’re embarrassed by how many people came forward saying the coordinator had “snapped” at them, rolled her eyes at them, etc. Not appropriate for a wedding night.

Came here for best beach view in OC. Venue left a bit to be desired beyond the view (they did some very nice renovations before our event). We initially thought that a package deal would be more cost effective. I asked about value of elements included in the package (E.G. florist), but was given no real insight. IMO, it's more difficult to find value in a package deal because you never know the breakdown. They had us at the view (you pay a premium) and we were sure everything would work out.

After signing the contract, Dayna was very responsive and helpful answering any questions and trying to keep me on track with planning. Between Andrew and Dayna, we did have a few hurdles, some overly complicated, some with a lot of attitude, but at other times responsiveness, flexibility and generosity.

In the end very happy and would do all over again, but I wish I had this insight:

Caterer - food taste was important and had to be kosher. Happy to have the ability to bring in our vendor (more $)

DJ - incredible! I would use Lucas for any event. Pleasure to work with and very talented.

Florist - 3 vendors offered in package leave a lot to be desired. I wish we had known the value per table going in - we had to put in a lot of money here to dress up the venue. We wound up using an outside florist.

Signature Party Rentals - Amazing to work with. We have used them for prior events, not related to Occasions. Package gives you bare bones in all aspects of decor, be prepared to pay in here again.

Wedding Coordinator - Dayna is great but very focused on the venue day of, as she should be. Recommend hiring a day of coordinator for your needs.

Extra Hours IMO very expensive, there is already a site fee on top of the package!

Bar not included in package. Crazy expensive and no choice for outside vendor.

We paid for additions left and right. To me it's a 3 star value with 5 star prices ... but that view is priceless. Remember, it's a business.

We had our ceremony at Occasions last December and worked with Dayna, the coordinator. She was very thorough with the timeline and offered great ideas at our initial meeting; however, she appeared a bit stressed out at the rehearsal and on the day of. Everything went smoothly except the parking situation. The extremely rude parking "manager" told us that she cannot allow our limo to park in the parking lot, which was a part of the ceremony package, since Dayna did not make an arrangement with her in advance. Our poor limo driver had to drop us off in the middle of PCH with cars honking behind us then drive up and down the PCH until our ceremony was over. The beautiful scenery made up for it.

Wow. We loved our venue and so desperately want to give it a rave review but unfortunately, one flaw can leave such a lasting impression!
To start on a positive note...the location cannot be beat. If you are looking for a beachside wedding in Southern California you must check out Occasions. It's the perfect combination of beauty and charm all set in a casual, relaxed environment. If you're looking for a ballroom style wedding this is not the venue for you but if you're more laid back and looking for a great outdoor space to dance the night away, go to Occasions.
It's an all-inclusive package and we can't say enough wonderful things about the catering (Michael at the Cliff Restaurant is awesome!) and the DJ (DJ Dave made it a truly special night!). Even the Salesperson who initially showed us the location (Stacy) was so warm and professional we wished she could've worked with us throughout the entire process.
Sadly, the Wedding Coordinator assigned to our event was absolutely horrible. From our first meeting with her two weeks before the wedding, she couldn't have been ruder or more inflexible. Considering how much we spent to have our wedding at Occasions, we expected our Coordinator to at least fake enthusiasm when she met us. Instead, she made it blatantly obvious that she had better things to do than discuss our upcoming nuptials. Simple questions like, "Can we move these potted plants?" were answered with a curt "no." To make matters worse, she had the audacity to tell us how we should run our wedding and to actually criticize the work we'd done for 12 months leading up to our one and only meeting with her.
After an email to her manager, she made a mild attempt to improve her attitude and was overly-attentive to us (the bride and groom) on the wedding night while maintaining her rude and unhelpful disposition to our outside Coordinator, Photographers and guests. In fact, she was no where to be scene prior to the ceremony and the Father of the Bride actually had to direct guests as they arrived.
I would still recommend this location under the pretense that you do not have to work with Kelly. Dayna, the other Coordinator is, from our experience, incredibly professional, polite and supportive. Before you sign a contract, insist that you she is assigned to your event. This is one of the most memorable days in your life and it's a shame to let one unprofessional individual ruin it for you especially when you are paying for top-notch service!

We were married at Occasions at Laguna Village and despite our experience, I wouldn't take it back. We would have hired an outside wedding coordinator. It was really gorgeous and guests have commented that it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to.

I fell in love with the site the first time I saw it online - and in person. The site is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and we couldn't have asked for a more AMAZING place to get married. We could have, however, had better service. When I look back on the day, the only thing that I think negatively about was how we were treated by our horrendous "wedding coordinator."

She NEVER returned phone calls within 24 hours - in fact, we were lucky if she returned them at all. When I did speak with her, she was pushy, and acted like I was inconveniencing her. While she wasn't outright nasty, I would definitely say that she had an attitude and was VERY into herself.

She was over 45 minutes late to our rehearsal because she was "assisting" another bride who had yet to book with the location. When I knocked on the door to the office (which has windows) she just kept talking to her prospective clients. Then, when I went back a second time about 20 minutes later, she said that she would be a few more minutes. Not the case. Then she had the nerve to tell me, "You wouldn't want me to leave the other bride now, would you?" Meanwhile, our bridal party and close family members were waiting around for HER. She didn't even apologize.

Also, the wedding started 20 minutes late. All of the bridal party and things on our end were perfect (we were all actually early) but for whatever reason, she didn't have her you-know-what together. She then told my husband that she would let the wedding go 30 minutes longer due to the delay. Not the case. The last song played at 8:55 and we all felt like we were pushed out of there. When we booked with the location, we were told by Stacey (who was very nice) to book 5-9 and that they usually let the weddings go longer - if we booked from 6-10, there was nothing they could do because the music has to go off at 10 due to the noise ordinance. Well, that didn't happen. 8:55 we were out of there.

On top of that, our wedding coordinator shoved all of our items that belonged to us at my husband's aunt.... like all of our candles, etc. She was reportedly very rude (not surprised).... and instead of informing Andrew's aunt that OUR CENTERPIECES & VASES belonged to us as well... she didn't. In fact, she was actually seen leaving the site with one of our centerpieces herself and had given the rest away to staff onsite. It was in our contract that things left onsite could be given away, but the fact that she didn't inform Andrew's aunt that they belonged to us (How would she have known???) she decided to leave that out, and then left with one. When we phoned her after the wedding to discuss this, she told us that it wasn't her responsibility. Literally, she has no sense of customer service whatsoever.

To make matters worse, we paid to have a shuttle pick up guests at a nearby parking lot and drop them off to the location... but when guests asked to be directed to that parking lot, the attendents told them "Oh, no... you park here... " thereby charging them for valet parking. We were also supposed to get two free spots on site for Andrew's parents (who were taking all the gifts home) and his grandparents. Well, guess what? They were charged $50 for parking, anyway. It was very upsetting to learn that our guests had been ripped off like this, and that we too, had paid for a service that was not even utilized due to the greedy parking attendants. (The parking lot is apparantly owned by a separate company, but they maintain the same SEEDY business practices.)

In addtion, our wedding coordinator did not direct our greeter to stand at the top of the stairs where the sign-in book and placecard table was located. She actually told him to stay at the bottom of the stairs. Half of our guests didn't even seen the placecard table (which by the way, were arranged incorrectly.) My husband was actually passing them out as the wedding coordinator was doing whatever it was that made our wedding start late.

Because we had such a BEAUTIFUL wedding minus our HORRIBLE wedding coordinator, it is hard for me to say, do not get married here... but if you're looking for impecable service, this is NOT the place to receive it....nor is our wedding coordinator the person you want to work with.

I would like to say that when we initially booked the location - the service was wonderful - Michael, who was the catering manager at the time, was AWESOME...and Stacey was patient and friendly. Michael I believe still works there, but under his own catering company - I'd look into that if you're considering Occassions.)

My advice would be to hire your own outside wedding coordinator - someone who you trust and who comes highly recommended. You'd think that because our coordinator was on-site, she'd totally rock - but she was disinterested and rude.

Also, somehow my salad order got screwed up and when I informed the wedding coordinator, she of course, acted bothered. I remember her taking away my plate, at the same time spilling my champagne. Then she said, "I'm not a server." SERIOUSLY... I COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB. This woman also runs her own outside "coordinating" business. Do your research and stay away from her. Please.

I have waited to write this review because I didn't want to put a sour note on our wedding, but it is important for other couples who are considering booking with Occasions to consider our experience and what they can do to make sure they don't encounter the same problems we did. Good Luck!!! :)

I recently had an unfortunate experience at Occasions at Laguna Village, which ultimately influenced my decision not to book the venue for my wedding. While the venue itself seemed promising, the behavior of one particular employee left a sour taste in my mouth.

During our third visit to the venue, my partner and I had just finished dining at the cliff restaurant and were waiting to see the space again. It was at this point that the food director approached us in a confrontational manner, questioning our ability to read and insinuating that we were in a restricted area. This incident was deeply unsettling, particularly considering that my partner is of Mexican heritage and Spanish is her first language. Such comments have the potential to trigger negative emotions, and unfortunately, that's exactly what happened.

When I expressed our discomfort to the venue staff regarding the food director's behavior, they dismissed our concerns and even went so far as to mock us, suggesting they would create a bigger sign for us to read. This dismissive attitude towards customers' feelings is highly concerning, especially when considering the magnitude of a wedding contract and the potential stress that may arise during the planning process. If a conflict were to occur or any changes were needed, it is evident that dealing with the cliff/food director would only exacerbate the situation.

It is disheartening to think that a venue with such a reputation and a history of past success would treat people in such an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. While it may seem like a blessing in disguise to have discovered their true colors before signing a contract, it raises questions about their ability to communicate effectively and work with clients in a mutually respectful and amiable way.

In light of this experience, I cannot recommend Occasions at Laguna Village to other couples seeking a wedding venue. The behavior displayed by the food director and the dismissive response from the general manager have left me with serious doubts about their commitment to customer satisfaction and their overall professionalism. It is crucial to find a venue that values and respects its clients throughout the entire wedding planning process, and unfortunately, Occasions at Laguna Village fell short in this regard. Do not book this place.
