Amanda Photographed our wedding in Wilsonville, Oregon. She came early and captured everything! She was creative and fun to be with the whole day. The photos look like they should be in a bridal magazine!
I really appreciated her ability to make us feel at ease, my husband and I don't particularly like to be in front of the camera. We are both photographers, which could have made our choice of photographer very hard! Choosing Amanda L Smith Photography to document our big day was the best choice ever!!!Amanda Photographed our wedding in Wilsonville, Oregon. She came early and captured everything! She was creative and fun to be with the whole day. The photos look like they should be in a bridal magazine!

We love the photos Amanda did. She did great working with all the bridal party and family, even though it was stressful at times...she handled those tough family members well. She also was very timely in getting us the photos...and she did all this while being pregnant! But she had backup arranged also incase she went into labor!We love the photos Amanda did. Amanda was there through every step of the day! We had a 3 different events through the day starting with vows up in hot air balloon and ending with reception in a park. We love our pictures and also had Amanda shoot our engagement photos which were really amazing also!Amanda was there through every step of the day! I couldn't think of a better person to capture our wedding. She made everybody feel comfortable in the posed photos and was able to capture each person's personality. The journalistic style of her shooting is really what sets her apart, capturing moments throughout the day that could have gone by without being noticed.I couldn't think of a better person to capture our wedding. Amanda drove ALL the way to just about the' MIDDLE of Nowhere in Particular' to take wedding photos of people she didn't know well - I am a school mate and friend of her mom.
While the church we were married in was a fine setting for our wedding ceremony, Amanda saved our wedding photos by commandeering the beautiful Victorian home across the street. She staged many of our wedding photos with the Victorian as a backdrop. The result was far more magical.
Amanda wrangled all our various family members and assorted attendants and guests with a smile, even my cantankerous Dad.
Amanda made posing for all those photographs FUN..... and all the other candid shots effortless.
Amanda even accommodated my special request to photograph Jeff and I taking snapshots with our own cameras that we had stashed upfront so we could take photos of our guests and also of ourselves with our guests in the background, just after we were pronounced as a married couple. She caught the moment perfectly.
Amanda captured some mighty precious moments that we will cherish for many years to come. Even though our wedding was on 9.10.11, three years ago, we are still grateful for her professionalism, eye for detail, imagination and genuine love of her profession, photo journalism.
I am a very happy customer and have seen countless other photos Amanda has produced. I just wanted you all to know, that you'd do well to have Amanda photograph whatever milestone event is taking place in your life. It takes a special photographer to be able to photograph a wedding at a hospital bed and show the beauty and grace of the moment. Amanda captured the essence of our love perfectly. She's a storyteller and pays attention to who you are in order to portray it accurately with images you'll cherish forever.
I will treasure the moments she captured for the rest of my life. Her pictures captured the memories I will hold dear for years to come.

Amanda exceeded every expectation I had in a wedding photographer. I was impressed by her ability to always find the perfect shot. It was obvious that she took great care with post production details.

Amanda is an amazing photographer! The pictures turned out amazing, and her price was very reasonable.
Amanda was very professional, polite, and made both the "staged" and unstaged photos go very smoothly. She was great at wrangling the wedding party to get the best shots, but was very relaxed and friendly in her direction.
Amanda made sure that we got all the photos we wanted. She checked before-hand to make sure she knew of anything that was very important to me and my husband to get pictures of. This was great as I wouldn't have remembered to get some of my most favorite pictures from the day, such as an individual shot with just me and my grandma.
I also really loved that Amanda respected our wishes to not have the photos too altered! I had an experience with another photographer in the past, and the images were processed horribly, with bad photo-shop edits and making the colors awful. Not the case with Amanda! We told her what we wanted and she did exactly that.
Everything just went very smoothly with Amanda, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a photographer. I look forward to hiring her again for any big life events in the future, and to recommending her to friends!Amanda is an amazing photographer! Amanda L Smith Photography is simply amazing. I really don't think that we will ever find a better photographer in the Eugene/Springfield area. Since shooting our wedding in 2009, she has also shot our bump photos, newborn photos and 1yr old photos. We plan to continue to use Amanda for many many years to come to capture all of our most important family moments. I cannot recommend her enough!Amanda L Smith Photography is simply amazing.
