Can I say second to none!? Renee was amazing! She is pleasant, passionate, personable, professional, has a great sense of humor and smiled the whole time. (Nearly as much as we did) The ceremony she wrote for us couldn't have been more appropriate and perfect!! She was such an integral role on our wedding day I can't thank her enough. Everything turned out beautifully and we've received so many compliments on how great our ceremony was. Renee is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her. Thank you for making our big day so special!! We all love her, including our crazy family! It is more than abundantly clear that she loves what she does and it shows. Again, Can't thank her enough!!

Amazing Ceremony!

Renee was AMAZING! We found her with pretty short notice, and I am so happy we did! She wrote the most beautiful ceremony for us that all of our guests raved about. She communicated with us multiple times leading up to our wedding and gave us lots of suggestions for what we could do. She wrote in a section dedicated to our Moms, which was so unique and special and one of our favorite parts of the ceremony. She totally exceeded our expectations and I will always remember her beautiful words! Don't hesitate to have Renee be such an important part of your special day!

Beautiful Ceremony

Renee was simply amazing! You could just feel her passion and excitement during the entire ceremony! Reasonably priced, so professional, and just all around amazing! It was truly a blessing to have her as an officiant! The ceremony she put together was absolutely breathtaking! Highly recommend!

Amazing Wedding Officiant

Renee officiated our wedding on 2/22/22 and it was a very last minute elopement. She was readily available and put together an amazing ceremony for us. She even was willing to travel over an hour so we could have our wedding on Daytona Beach! She was amazing in every sense of the word!

Renee was outstanding!

I loved Renee! I was a bridesmaid for my best friend's wedding where she was the minister and she did amazing. You could see how excited she was and she was so sweet and passionate. She also had a warm smile the entire time!

Renee is amazing she feels like family

Steven and I had a short engagement then COVID caused us to find a backup very quickly. Plus on a holiday midweek.
Renee came through.
To make it worse I had asked those on the site to call me. Because it was such short notice.
Since I instantly loved Renee I just went through the email responses I found someone thanks. I didn’t even read them.
Ooops one was Renee. She had also emailed me just in case in case lol.
Well our next meeting time came and went and I am aweful with numbers so I waited from 11 until 1 then called her. To find it was my fault for sending out those emails.
Renee still was able to pull off an amazing wedding that made my now husband sweat from his eyeballs. Not crying mind you fireman paramedic don’t do that.
She worked so well with us and all the things we wanted in the wedding even when I couldn’t follow through with my part she covered for me and picked right up and carried on.
Even though I gave lower marks on price it is more because I was shocked. But looking through all these prices are the same. Or about. I would not wanted anyone else.

Professional, calm, confident, proficient, accommodating.

Renee, Alternative Weddings, was great. She met with us at our house, had several examples of promises, vows, prayers, etc for us to choose from or to adapt to what we wanted to make our wedding perfect for us. She arrived at the venue on time and conducted the wedding ceremony in a calm and confident manner.
We received several compliments on the ceremony from our guests.

I recently went to my sister in law's wedding, where Dr. Renee DeSocio was the officiant. Her ceremony was beautiful, with some of the sweetest wordings on marriage that I have heard. A blessing in disguise!

Our officiant cancelled on us last minute and no one was available to/wouldn’t marry us with such short notice! We found Renee! She was truly a blessing in disguise! She put a BEAUTIFUL ceremony together in just a day and it left our entire wedding guests in tears through the entire thing! She is such an amazing person and really takes the time to make it special for you!

Fairytales do come true

Renee was a Godsend. The process of planning a wedding can be overwhelming, to say the least—so many options and decisions to make the perfect as every girl dreams of the perfect wedding day. She greeted us with a smile every time we met. Renee was an approachable professional that listened to our vision of a perfect ceremony, from the color scheme to the venue and everything in between. She clarified every step of the way to ensure she clearly understood our vision to make a dream come true. She offered options and suggestions without pressure.
Our schedules were complicated at best-Renee accommodated our schedule. I highly recommend Renee!

Best wedding minister!

Renee was beyond wonderful! We got married yesterday and she did an amazing job. I recommend her to everyone! She's professional, yet, her passion is what really makes her great; she makes you feel 'at-home' and her wanting to help give you one of the best days of your life really shows! She is the absolute best! Renee is always on time, always has a smile on her face and creates the wedding with what you want said, not said or any activities included. We had her help us perform the candle ceremony where we lit 2 candles separately and we both light a 3rd candle together with our 2 candles to signify our love is now one. I can't say enough about Renee! She really was perfect!!

Renee did such a wonderful job with our wedding ceremony! She was available to talk several times to make sure that the words and vows suited our blended family. She not only captured our love but included all 6 of our children. Renee smiled through the entire ceremony and mingled with guests before and after as well. Renee was wonderful! We had a Black Tie non-denominational wedding at the St Lawrence Spirtits Chateau, and Renee was able to create a ceremony with the tone and feeling we wanted. We were just married this last Friday at Camp Brockway and Renee helped to make our day absolutely perfect! We spoke over the phone prior to the wedding with her ideas of what she wanted to incorporate and asked for ideas from us also. Renee was an amazing officiant for our small wedding along Cayuga Lake. We were unable to meet with her beforehand, but we discussed the ceremony and what we envisioned over the phone. The ceremony itself was everything I imagined it to be. She was incredibly warm and professional, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to get married in the Finger Lakes area.

Renee made our day incredibly special. We made arrangements on Monday and were married on Saturday of the same week. We came in from Salt Lake City and didn’t have time to meet Renee before hand except through text and phone, however, from these short conversations she came up with words and sentiments that spoke our hearts. Renee exudes warmth and love, she means the words she says, smiling through the whole ceremony. I strongly recommend Renee if you are looking for a deeply heartfelt ceremony.

I simply cant say enough good things about Renee. We asked for a Christmas day ceremony- She said yes. She even left her Christmas day event early so she could get through a lake effect snow storm and make it to our venue on time.

Her ceremony was so wholesome and genuine, it could not have been any better. She was patient, and worked with us on all our unique requests.

My bride and I wholeheartedly recommend Renee for any wedding ceremony !

I was a little nervous with not meeting Renee in person but we had talked on the phone before the wedding and her ceremony speech was absolutely perfect and spot on for my husband and I as a couple. She was super kind and made us feel at ease right away. It was a beautiful ceremony and we wouldn’t have picked anyone else to have written our ceremony.

Renee was amazing! I called her last minute looking for an officiant and with a weeks notice was able to fit me in for a small ceremony. She was very professional and incredibly easy to work with. I would recommend her for sure!

Renee was amazing! She was able to give us the PERFECT ceremony with such short notice. My husband and I were so happy with her services. She worked well with us over the phone since I lived out of town. I was overwhelmed with what needed to be done for our last minute ceremony but once I found her everything fell into place. I would recommend her to anyone!

Renee is absolutely wonderful and wrote the vows and ceremony so beautiful. It fit my husband and I so perfectly. Not to mention she did it on 6 week short notice when my original officiant couldn't do it anymore. She is very personable and I highly recommend her.

We got married on 8/5/17 and Renee was great from the very beginning! She was very quick to respond and easy to book. Being 2 hours away, Renee and I communicated by phone and it worked out wonderful. She made our ceremony to fit us, and it was very personal. I would highly recommend Renee to anyone!!

My husband and I planned our intimate wedding in just 4 days. Renee was very responsive and flexible which helped us surprise our family. We needed to work around weather conditions and Renee was very willing to let us choose the timing until the morning of the actual ceremony. She provided a beautiful and thoughtful ceremony and worked with us to choose just the right words to express our emotions for our special day.

Renee was the officiant for our wedding. Booking with her was easy and painless. We live far away from our wedding location and she made it easy and worked with us. We were able to do a phone conference with her. She gave us options of different scripts for the ceremony so we really felt like it was OUR wedding. She was easy to get in contact with and very flexible with the ceremony and rehearsal time. She did a great job at the ceremony, we had many people complement on how cheerful and clear spoken she was! I would differently recommend her!!!

Renee was great. We were down to the wire with finding an officiant and she was so sweet and helpful. We both had family emergencies at one point, but we still kept in touch and worked through everything. We are from out of state so we did everything over phone and email. Our unity ceremony was with a love love (her first with a love lock) and she researched it so she was able to speak to it during the ceremony. Renee was great and I am so happy she was part of our special day!

Renee was absolutely phenomenal, she was my savior when our officiant canceled a few weeks before our wedding. She did everything via phone or email since we live out of town and made the process so easy. She wrote a ceremony that suited us perfectly and incorporated our traditions. Rev. Rene was so helpful. From first phone call til day of. My husband to be is disabled and she made our day more than special. It was the second for both of us, and she made it memorable by being more than accommodating to our needs. Recommend her services highly.

Dr. Rene was very professional she was able to put the ceremony together in less than 24 hour notice. Gave my husband and I one of the best days in our life. She made sure the ceremony was to our standards. We are forever thankful for her.

She was awesome and helped us with our vows by personalizing them according to how we would like and made it traditional but with a twist . I love how she focused on us being married but best friends as well and hit every point that is important in a marriage , being best friends , being loyal , and being honest with each other and highlighting that it's us that makes our marriage great . We got married in front of the castle on that little island in Alexandria bay and I loved it , it was just me and my husband but she made it special and also provided the witnesses for us . Highly recommend her services !

Renee was on time, and able to do the wedding in the late evening on a holiday, was surprised at the availability. Renee was the perfect addition to our wedding on June 3rd. My HUSBAND (love the sound of that!) and I couldn't have picked a better person to officiate our wedding. Renee blended in seemlessly to our very intimate wedding of 9 people. You wouldn't have even known that she wasn't a family member! While performing our wedding ceremony, the words she spoke were so sincere and heartfelt that it was like she was reading them for the first time! We especially love that we have a hard copy of our wedding program as we plan to take excerpts from it and add them as quotes to our wedding photos. Renee really was the heart of our special day, and we couldn't be happier that she was a part of it!
