We worked with Patty and Kristen for our destination wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and they were amazing to work with. They handled all of our hotel and travel arrangements, along with those of our guests, and made everything simple and stress free. We heard from so many guests about how easy the process was and how responsive Patty and Kristen were whenever anyone had a question or needed help.
They were organized, reliable, and always on top of every detail. Because of them, we were able to focus on enjoying our wedding week instead of worrying about logistics. We’re really grateful for their support and would absolutely recommend them to any couple planning a wedding or needing a travel service!!! -

Brittany was amazing during planning mine and my husband’s wedding and honeymoon! She is very attentive and quick to respond and happily looked into all of our requests for our trip. She was able to help us plan our wedding with only about 4 months, we couldn’t have done it without her! -

I wish I could give a higher rating than 5 stars! My wedding was this past April in Cancun and I worked very closely with Patty and Kristen. I felt so much better knowing they were handling all of the travel questions and making sure everyone’s resort stays were taken care of. They truly went above and beyond making sure everything was PERFECT for us! All of our guests kept saying how wonderful it was to work with them and how easy they made it all. I couldn’t recommend them/this company enough!!

Cannot recommend these two enough! We had a destination wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and I actually thought I’d be able to do it without a travel agent at the beginning…. Big LOL to that. I don’t know what I would’ve done without them! They coordinated travel for all of our guests and ourselves, answered every question along the way not just for me but for all my guests, and were on top of it 24/7. They were so friendly and so wonderful to work with! Plus added bonus from doing the room block, they scored us huge savings, comps, and complimentary events (all depends on what resort you choose and size of your block, of course). I would highly recommend them for your wedding room block, and personal travel in general! -

We used unique romance and travel as our TA recommended by our wedding coordinator and I was very pleased with their service. Quick responses and very transparent with the arrangements. Heather Bannon was the best!!!
When deciding where to have my wedding at first, I would have not chosen destination as my first choice. The more and more I thought about being married in Costa Rica, the more excited I became. Heather Bannon was a HUGE reason why my husband and I had the best days of our entire life. She organized all 80 guests (after juggling 200 that were invited) travel documents, shuttles, rooms and so much more. I can’t thank her enough for making everything so easy and special for me. All my guests loved how knowledgeable, organized, responsive and funny she made everything. On our honeymoon, I had nothing to worry about. All the tours were set up, rooms were decorated, wine was flowing and in the most gorgeous place! I would recommend Heather for anyone looking to relax and have a beautiful wedding/honeymoon/vacation. You won’t regret it!!! -

When we knew we wanted to go to Bora Bora, Danielle was the first person I thought of to help me create the trip of our dreams. She was so good about explaining our options and what to expect. She worked with the event coordinator to plan our vow renewal, find our photographer and finalize plans. Danielle was so great to work with that when we have another big trip to plan, she will be the first I call! -

We worked with Heather Bannon to plan our destination wedding in Mexico. She was absolutely AMAZING from start to finish. Heather was patient with me and always fully addressed any questions or concerns I had. She called me and explained the entire process: obtaining deposits and payments, the available promotions, and the appropriate deadlines. She communicated with us consistently and was incredibly flexible and helpful with some last minute changes our guests had. Using Heather took so much of the stress we may have otherwise faced when planning wedding travel. She also coordinated all of transportation to and from the airport for our guests. The whole process was flawless from start to finish. I highly recommend Heather and Unique Romance Travel to any and all future brides who want to plan their dream event. We enjoyed working with her so much that she is helping plan our Honeymoon trip next year! -

My wife and I were put in touch with Unique Romance Travel and Heather after inquiring about a property in Riviera Maya as a potential venue for our destination wedding. She not only gave us all of the information and guidance on how to approach wedding like this, she also provided extremely valuable insight into other properties and venues that we would not have been able to find on our own. She was responsive and understanding to all of our (seemingly unending) questions and concerns. Not only did she handle and coordinate the booking of rooms and travel with all of our guests, she acted as an amazing intermediary to the resort staff at the property we ended up choosing. Heather goes above and beyond to research and recommend the best of a given locale to tailor your experience to the unique character of you group! I was fortunate to have had the privilege of knowing Heather prior to working with her in this capacity, and was not surprised to see how her spirit of hospitality influences her amazing ability to select and coordinate the perfect destination wedding or vacation! I look forward to working with her in the future and would highly recommend! -

Wedding planning
Dave and Carla were amazing! On our first call they asked us what we wanted in a wedding and what was important to us. They collected all of our wants and needs and recommended the El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya! They contacted the hotel and got us the best price for rooms and took care of everything!! They created us an amazing wedding website which we could provide to our friends and family to give them all the details they needed! Carla would answer any and every question my mom and had! She helped each of our guests book their rooms and followed up and let us know when people had booked. She put us in contact with the best wedding coordinator at the resort who helped us plan the actual wedding and honeymoon. I would absolutely recommend Dave and Carla if you are doing a destination wedding! -

Julie has incredible insight on things I wouldn't have thought about. She is professional and isn't afraid to go to bat for you! What I love the most about Julie is her honesty. She will be very upfront with you on everything. There are no blurred lines with her.
Julie's knowledge and experience in the Mexican Riviera and Yucatan is outstanding. Our wedding was held at Secrets Akumal with over 50+ guests. She arranged every call, every email, and left the fun stuff up to us. She took all of the brunt of the questions, concerns, and confusions up with each one of our guests that needed her. She was on-call every time I had my own questions. Needless to say, BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! -

Apryl Sent on 09/10/2018Julie Frederick was hands-down the best thing that happened to us when we wanted to book a destination wedding. My fiancé at the time found her online and I was a hesitant bride to be, to say the least. However, she exceeded our expectations with getting everything booked with the resort at a super discounted rate! We ended up booking Now Onyx in Punta Cana after we had Julie price a few other resorts out. She was available at ALL times of the day and by text, phone call or email. There were a few hiccups once some of our guests arrived but the resort overbooked the rooms and Julie did what she could do given the situation, time constraints and language barrier. Overall, everyone was very pleased with Julie's exceptional service from day one, to even after we were home and settled in as husband and wife. We have and will continue to recommend her to anyone looking to book a destination wedding. She made it seem flawless and so easy!

Katie Sent on 09/09/2018Long story short, Julie is absolutely amazing and I would 100% recommend her to anyone planning a wedding or vacation. She is incredibly professional, thoughtful and organized and truly made my wedding an absolute dream.
Planning a destination wedding is no easy feat, but Julie truly made it as seamless as possible. Julie's expertise of the Cancun area was wildly helpful and she had a number of amazing suggestions for me as I was looking for venues. Once I had decided on a location she made my life so much easier by coordinating with the resort to take care all of the fine print and details that can be overwhelming when you're trying to plan a wedding! Finally, she also took care of coordinating the rooms and payments for all of my family and friends (which is a huge task by itself)- and they also only had wonderful things to say!
If you are thinking about planning a destination wedding (which I also recommend - so much fun!) I would look no further, you will be in great hands with Julie and she is the best person to help you make that dream become a reality! -

Carla always answered all my questions and made me feel at ease with planning a destination wedding. My guests mentioned many times, how easy she made it to book their rooms for our wedding. We had 16 people attend our wedding and there were no glitches at all. All of our rooms were excellent and exactly what we expected. I plan on using Carla and unique romance again to book a trip back soon! -

Megan Sent on 09/19/2012We just finished our 2 week honeymoon in Germany, and I am so happy to be back home so I can write this review about our travel agent Carla. First of all, we had a very very hard time finding anyone who would work with us given what we wanted to and where we wanted to go. Not only did Carla say she could and would plan our trip for us, but she seemed genuinely excited to help us! Our trip to and through Germany simply could not have been better! Everything was easy, the paperwork came to us organized and ready to take us through our honeymoon. Quite simply, I could go on and on about Carla and how she made a complicated honeymoon idea into a reality for us that was truly better than we could ever have hoped for!!! I would recommend Carla to anyone who wants to plan an incredible honeymoon.
