Alex and his team were wonderful to work with. The photographer and videographer arrived at out even early and were ready for us when we arrived. They were very professional, friendly, and thorough.
What really put them over the top were the photo booth, and the step and repeat photos. Everyone of all ages loved posing for and walking away with fun pictures on the spot. And the video montage that Alex created had the whole crowd completely captivated.
Hiring Abacus was the best decision I made. They both captured and created memories that will last a lifetime.

Absolutely phenomenal service throughout the entire process. Alex communicated with us in advance about all of our preferences and made sure to send us great offers for add-ons if we decided we needed it. On the day of, we worked with Douglas (Doug) who was simply incredible. He worked to get tons of pictures before the ceremony to give us a chance to mingle during cocktail hour while he also got some great photos of our special guests. He posed us in great positions and in front of great scenery — a complete expert in getting great shots. He worked so hard for such a long time and when we got our pictures it was so clear that not only does he know what he’s doing but he’s also so dedicated in capturing the beauty and joy of the special day. We happened to find them by chance when we received a flyer in the mail following a bridal event. We reached out and were not disappointed at all! Abacus Studios has been great to work with. Alex will work with your budget, and make sure you get all that you want for your wedding. I could call him anytime with a question and spend a half an hour just talking. It was like having a friend do your photography.
JC was our photographer the day of the wedding and he was on point! Got great shots of us and our family and was willing to photograph anything-even me with my dress on my head while my bridesmaids were trying to bustle my dress.
Our big reception is next year, and already booked Abacus to continue the photo shoot, and we have requested JC.

Select Abacus for your wedding photo and video memories. You will not be sorry! Long short...Communication was amazing, package flexibility and customization was warm and considerate, and professionals...THE BEST. We were running late for first look and group shots due to make up for the ladies. The photographers (JC and [Videographer]) were getting a little anxious having some folks from the groomsmen party call the wedding coordinator to find out where we were and inform us we were running out of time (in order not to throw my entire schedule). ...when I arrived JC was waiting at the door, pics were NON STOP WITH LOTS OF DIRECTION. More than we could ask for!
Hosted our wedding on 8/24/19 at Il Villaggio in Carlstadt, NJ. Our photographer was JC. JC was truly a blessing, a gift from God. My husband and I were truly impacted by having JC as our photographer. JC arrived early to our hotel to set up and confirm all details for the day. He was full of energy, life, and passion the ENTIRE 10 hours! JC was EXACTLY what we were looking for in a photographer. He was not only taking photos, he was our second Maitre D, always making sure we had everything we needed, fixing my dress, directing us how to pose ( LOVED THAT!) and making everything picture perfect while making us smile laugh and feel like a King and Queen. I have been to a lot of weddings in my day, and I can say I have never seen a better photographer than JC. Absolutely fantastic. My fiancée and I had the best experience with Abacus Studios during our engagement shoot. Doug was our photographer and he was very knowledgeable and professional. Doug suggested Colonial Park in Franklin, NJ and it was perfect. We are so happy with the way our pictures because they came out perfect. Overall, it was a great experience and we are very confident that we chose the right photographer to capture of special day.

My husband and I had a hard time finding someone who was reasonable and their work was good. I had originally was going to go with someone else until I found Alex and his group. I cannot tell you how comfortable they made us feel. Alex right from the start was great, he explained everything to us and even worked with our budget. The first event we worked with Lynette on photo and Mike on video and those two gave us so much direction and went along with every last minute idea we had and it was great! The second event I had Doug and Mike again. They were amazing as well. Honestly, my husband and I will be using Alex and his team for every event we have going forward! The quality of their work is great but his team is even better! If you’re looking for photographer and videographers book them ASAP you will not regret it!!!

Fantastic Step and Repeat Photobooth
Alex and his team added extra fun to my wedding with their step and repeat photobooth set up. They were pleasant to work with, and made sure the guests got their prints at the end of the night. They were quick with their correspondence, and were flexible in the timing we needed. We even got to keep the custom backdrop they made with our wedding logo- it was a big hit! We loved it!

Great addition to our daughter’s wedding
We worked with Alex and his crew to have a step and repeat photo area set up at our daughter’s wedding. Alex was professional, responsive and flexible with our requests. It was a great addition to the event, and so easy. Very much recommended!

Don't wait sign with abacus today!
We ended up going with Alex and his photographers and have not for one minute regretted the decision. Not only was he responsive and attentive, but he was patient. I was somewhat of a neurotic bride and he just talked me through each and every step. His photographers are professional and kind and truly the best of the best. We had both a photo and video package! We had Doug and Joseph on photos and they were truly amazing. We also had John on video and he truly kept me calm and smiling through the whole thing. he just kept saying things to make me smile and laugh and I have no doubt he is the reason the video is going to be amazing!! DO NOT WASTE ANOTHER SECOND, GO SIGN WITH ALEX AND HIS GROUP TODAY!!!

Professional and accommodating to work with!
We planned our court house wedding in about 2 weeks and Alex was very accommodating. His dedication to his customers' satisfaction is made apparent by the professionalism and amount of communication he provides. He was able to secure our spot in a timely fashion. Leading up to the wedding, we emailed back and forth. We were able to send him a few inspiration shots we saw online so that our photographer, Doug, could capture the style and moments that were important to us. On the day of, Doug arrived early and started taking photos right away. He made sure that we got all of the family shots that we wanted and captured the essence of our relationship as husband and wife. I will recommend Alex and his team to anyone who is in need of stellar photography in the future!

Alex at Abacus Studios and his entire team are hands down ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I recommend them to anyone who is in search of professional photographers who take traditional yet also those fun and special moments when you least expect it. Another note, every person I’ve encountered who works at Abacus has this amazingly calm and positive way about them so if you’re perhaps feeling a bit jittery about a special day, they certainly have a way to ease any nerves & help things go very smoothly. amazing photography
We first heard about Abacus Studios through a close friend. Alex was very responsive to my initial questions & pricing was within our budget, so my husband and I decided to meet with him. We were very impressed with everything. He showed us all the different options & services they provided and discussed cost and what each package would entail. Alex was also very accommodating as we had to bring our young daughter to the meeting, which was a huge plus for us. We decided to go with photography & the photo booth. We then met Doug, our photographer, for our engagement shoot. We found a park & hockey rink not too far out from where we live to do the pictures at. Doug got some amazing shots. Alex kept in touch as we were planning our wedding, he answered whatever questions came up during the process. A week or so before the wedding, Doug called and verified times & addresses to ensure he had everything written down. He got so many amazing pictures the day of our wedding. He perfectly captured my husband and our daughters “first look” as well as some amazing candid pictures. The photo booth was a big hit with everyone at our reception. We received our online gallery about a week after our wedding & the high resolution images on a USB two and a half weeks after our wedding. I would absolutely recommend Abacus Studios to everyone.

I highly recommend using these guys for your wedding. My wedding was June 9th 2018 and Alex was on the scene for the whole year plus of planning. Any questions we had were answered quickly. He was always so very kind and helpful with everything. He set up the photo booth and made sure we were all set with the videographer. Doug was our photographer and he was such a joy to work with. We first met doing an engagement shoot summer of 2017. We really enjoyed getting to know him and working with him. By the time our wedding came around, he was very comfortable with us and knew what we wanted. I couldn't have been more pleased with how everything turned out. 5 stars, 10 out of 10, grade A group of people. Book them while you can!

My fiancée and I had the greatest experience with Abacus Studios during our engagement photos. Doug was great and very flexible. We had our engagement photos at liberty state park (in which we were not familiar with the area) and Doug helped us with directions while we were driving to the location. We were also late and Doug had no problem waiting for us as we sat in traffic. He was very knowledgeable of the best places to take pictures and what poses looked beat and our engagement pictures came out flawless. You will not find a better photographer☺️. I highly recommend them.

We just got married this past Saturday, and used Abacus for our photography, video, and photo booth. We could not have been more happy with our choice!!! Alex was our point of contact. He was quick to respond, extremely friendly, and very helpful. He even acted as our photo booth attendant, and our guests had a great time! Michelle took amazing photos, which we just got to see today. They took my breath away, and I couldn't stop smiling looking through them! John was our videographer. Choosing a photographer was difficult for me because I wanted to keep the costs at bay, but I did not want to sacrifice quality. I am SO happy I chose Abacus Studios. Alex, the owner, provided a wonderful cost-efficient but very inclusive package, and he was excellent to work with and very responsive. Michele was my photographer, and she was THE BEST! I felt like I had a wedding assistant/extra bridesmaid with me all day, as she was helpful with my dress, hair, belongings, you name it. She was super accommodating as well...I was on a time crunch between my ceremony and reception, and she was flexible with letting me decide which photo opportunities I really wanted and which we could eliminate to get me to my cocktail hour. The photos turned out amazing!!! I am still working on selecting them for my album since there are 6,000 total!! Could not have chosen a better photographer and company.

I was recently married on 11.24.17 at naninas in the park in belleville, and my husband and I could not have felt more comfortable with leaving such an important part of our wedding in the hands of Abacus Studios. Rewinding about two years prior we had engagement photos done with Michele. She is fabulous. We did them at Watchung Reservation. It was almost like hiking with another one of our bestfriends. She was so good capturing us and our dog so that we could use them for save the dates.
For the wedding Michele called about a week prior letting me know she looked through all my pinterest boards and lists on exactly what we wanted. The day of the wedding she showed up prompt and excited to photograph our day. She is more then just a photographer. More like another bridesmaid. There was a mishap with my dress and one of the clips broke. She was there with my mom holding my dress together while my mom sewed it together. No other photographer would probably be there to help like that. At the church she made taking photos after the ceremony a breeze so we could quickly be on our way to our venue. She is simply amazing. Was able to capture the entire day and I only needed one photographer. She even stayed past her 8hr call because the cake cutting didnt happen yet. She is over the top amazing and Abacus studios should be your top choice for your wedding and other photo needs. Our wedding photos we received about ten days after the wedding which is very prompt. They are also local.
Alex who owns the company is fabulous as well. Very very personable and responds quickly to emails and phone calls. Literally any concern we had was taken care of in a timely manner. Highly Highly Recommend

The communication with Alex was exceptional. As most couples, we have an extremely crazy schedule, but Alex was able to meet with us very quickly on a Sunday, and was able to design a package to meet our needs. We just recently had our engagement photo shoot with Michelle and my fiance and I cannot say enough great things about how the day went! Michelle was friendly and funny right from the get go. She made us feel 100% comfortable the entire time, and we just had a blast with her. Michelle was extremely creative with the different poses she had us do, and with the different spots within our venue to take photos. We did our engagement shoot at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ, which is a huge place and Michelle took her time with each photo and had no problem with walking around the grounds trying to find all the good spots for photos. She was extremely patient and thorough. I highly, highly recommend using Abacus Studios as your engagement/wedding photographer. They definitely do not disappoint! :)
Also, I need to commend Alex, as well for his work with us. When we first met with him, he was extremely friendly and thorough with explaining all the different packages and everything Abacus Studios has to offer. He has answered every phone call and email right away and has always answered all questions. Again, I definitely recommend using Abacus Studios! :)

I cannot say enough great things about Abacus Studios! Alex, the manager of the studio, is a great communicator, extremely friendly, and provides top-notch customer service every step of the way. We elected to have both the photography and videographer package which was provided to us at a very reasonable rate compared to other vendors. Alex was very flexible and made every effort to work with our budget. He even agreed to match another vendor’s offer which we were extremely appreciative of. Michelle was our photographer on the day of our wedding. Everyone loved her and kept talking about how awesome she was! She took amazing pictures and made everyone in the bridal party and our families feel at ease. She made sure to get all of my requested photos and we have endless beautiful shots to choose from for our album. We received a link to our online picture gallery and got a dvd of our images in the mail within 2 weeks after our wedding – very fast and efficient! John was our videographer – he was very non-intrusive and I hardly noticed he was even videotaping! I can’t wait to get the edited DVD! When we first met Alex, the owner of Abacus Studios, we were impressed not only with the quality of his studio’s work, but also with his enthusiasm, warmth, and sincerity in working with our budget. We booked Abacus Studios for our wedding's photography, videography, and photo booth. As part of our package, we received a free engagement photography session. Doug, the photographer who took our engagement pictures, likewise gave great service and guidance. He suggested the place where we ultimately would have our engagement pictures taken, after learning that we were originally planning to have it somewhere that would charge us a fee. The venue that he suggested was a beautiful park with a botanical garden, bridge, and other spots that made for amazing pictures. It was everything that we could have wanted, and it did not cost anything.
Through Doug’s eye and guidance, he got us into many different poses that felt natural. We got so many compliments on the pictures from our engagement session that we had the “problem” of choosing which ones to use for our Save the Dates. Alex and his team designed the Save the Dates and we got so many compliments after sending them out.
Leading up to the wedding, Alex maintained steady communication to answer all of our questions and make sure that we had all logistics set, so that things would go smoothly that day. Both Doug and John (our videographer) reached out to us personally prior to the wedding day to ensure that they had the correct contact information and schedule of events. They also both arrived early and stayed until the very end of our reception so as to capture all of the images that we wanted. They gave clear instructions that allowed them to get some truly elegant pictures that we had not thought of. Our family and friends were thrilled by the service we received from Abacus Studios, as were we!

My husband and I DEFINTIELY recommend using Abacus Studios as your wedding photography vendor. We got married at the Crystal Plaza on September 22, 2017. We selected Abacus studios for our photographers after sitting with Alex, he was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and really made us feel comfortable. We weren’t 100% sure what we wanted in terms of photography package and he was awesome in talking through all the options! We ended up going with their Deluxe Photo Package and booking our photo booth with them as well as engagement photos. Throughout the whole process Alex and his team were extremely responsive to all our questions!
Both Michelle and Lynette were amazing! From the time they each arrived to the end they had great idea and vision for our photos and were efficient with our time throughout the day. We just got the preview for our photos and they are AWESOME! It is impossible to select our favorite, they are really beautiful, but also capture the personalities of our family and friends and how wonderful the whole day was. We can’t wait to get our prints!!

We are both so thrilled with the quality of the photos that we got from Abacus. Doug Davies was our photographer for not only our engagement session, but also the wedding. He captured our style perfectly and was unobtrusive the entire day. he fit in perfectly and got all the must have shots with incredible style. There are so many wonderful photos it's hard to choose which ones to get enlargements of. We also booked videographer services, but have not yet received that as we haven't provided them with the music track for that, but based on the quality of service from them, I am sure we will be more than happy with the finished product. You can't go wrong booking Abacus to take your photos for any event.

Alex is a great guy to talk with and he will give you the best deal on photo packages. Also if you get a chance, request Michelle, she is the best photographer they have. Lastly Damien is a great videographer and got all of our wedding moments on DVD. Defiantly worth every penny to have abacus studios for your wedding or any other event for that matter

My wedding was on May 13, 2017 and we had a wonderful photographer, Michelle! She was very nice and fun to be around, it was like she was one of my bridesmaids... that's how much fun we were having. She's very professional and took charge when she needed to, but not in a pushy way at all! She knew how to do her job and she was amazing at it!! We also had a photobooth which was a big hit. I unfortunately didn't get to take any pictures in it because I was so busy running around and before I knew it, the night was over. I did get to speak to Alex for a couple of minutes and he was wonderful as well! I definitely plan on working with Abacus Studios in the future!!

Michelle did such a wonderful job with our wedding photos. She captured all of the important details and our photos are absolutely stunning! She took so many amazing shots, we do not even know which one to choose! Michelle was so accommodating and friendly from the moment we met her. She was so relaxed and made our photo taking effortless and fun! I would recommend choosing her to capture your wedding day. You will not be disappointed! My husband and I booked Abacus for our 5/12/17 wedding at the Crystal ballroom. From the beginning we felt like we were in good hands as the owner Alex is a very friendly and makes you feel right at home. We got the photography and video package which was very affordable for us. The day of our wedding we had Michelle for photos and John for video. Michelle did such an AMAZING job with all the pictures she took for us. You can tell that she truly loves her job and is very passionate about photography. She was so sweet and extremely helpful throughout the day. She even helped with getting my dress bustled! John was behind the scene with the video, but he was very professional throughout the day & we cannot wait to see our wedding day through his lens. We are very appreciative of the service both Michelle and John provided for us. We cannot wait until we see our pictures and video! Thank you again for everything.

Such an amazing job! Not only did all my pictures come out great but she helped me and my husband feel comfortable and relaxed through out the whole day! I feel like she really went above and beyond with her services, between making sure my dress was always looking good but just over all comfortable feeling which is great. As professional as she was she also made it seem like we had known her for years. What a wonderful experience over all! Thank you again for going above and beyond on our special day!

We are absolutely happy with Abacus Studios thus far. Michelle took our engagement photos at Verona Park and they came out absolutely gorgeous. We love the photos and the quality. We were able to view our photos in a week. We met Michelle for the 1st time on that day and she made us feel so comfortable. She is the sweetest happiest person you would ever meet. I can't wait for our big day, August 11th. It's gonna be a hot one. It's always pleasure speaking with Alex and Damien they are so accommodating. Thanks again guys you have been amazing.

Abacus Studios was AMAZING! From the moment we met Alex, we knew we wanted to work with them; he was easy to talk to and understood what we wanted. They also offered very reasonably priced packages as compared to others we had researched. Then the process leading up to our wedding day was very simple. We had selected Michelle and I can not be happier that we did!! Words cannot describe how fabulous Michelle was! She felt like an old friend and was so incredible to work with during the day; she made everything so easy and seamless. Our bridal party, family and friends all commented on how terrific she was. She captured every special shot we asked for and so much more!! Our pictures are gorgeous and I don't know how we will chose! Instant connection with Alex during our first meeting. There was no pressure to sign a contract with him and before I left his office a contract was signed. I love Abacus Studios! The staff are very professional, all my questions were answered timely no matter what time I sent an email. They were extremely accommodating. I used Abacus for my Engagement Dinner and my wedding. I love the way my photos came out especially my wedding photos. Additional services used was photo booth and step and repeat. My wedding guest loved both options.

They are so patient and willing to take the time to explain everything. We have received so many compliments on our pictures- they truly came out incredibly. From the moment we met Alex we knew we wanted them to photograph our wedding. There professionalism made us feel very comfortable from start to finish. Michelle was our photographer and her personality fit right in with the wedding party. She made the day that much more special. She helped us both get dressed and photographed it in a way that made us feel comfortable. She captured every moment of the day in an elegant way. If we had a special request she made it happen. What a great engagement photo shoot! We had Doug take our engagement pictures at Rutgers Garden, and he was fantastic! We may have picked the hottest, most humid day, but Doug was efficient, yet moved it along because it was unbearable. The pictures are incredible and we were so excited when we saw them, absolutely amazing. Abacus is so easy to work with and we are looking forward to having them at our wedding for the photography and videography.

Alex, the owner of Abacus Studio, is awesome. He is super friendly, nice, and worked with us on our budget. Great with responding to questions and concerns. We got to work with Doug, Michelle, and Damian. Michelle and Damian were both super friendly and nice and laughed with us through the whole process which made the day feel carefree and lovely. Doug was definitely more serious but was great at directing shots and making sure he got the best shot. We truly enjoyed working with this team. You can tell it's a small business and they remember their clients and care about their special day. I'm so happy I didn't go with one of the bigger companies that have a bunch of random photographers. We got a TON of pictures from them after the wedding, they captured our wedding perfectly and we were so happy with the results. They were also SUPER patient and accommodating with all my crazy picture requests (one involved the whole wedding party of 18 people running away from the ocean, and they helped us photoshop a shark jumping out of the ocean haha) Would recommend them to any of our family or friends. We actually miss seeing them because they were so nice haha! Miss you guys and thanks so much for a perfect day!

Abacus Studios is the best! I absolutely love them and their level of professionalism! Working with the staff from the start of planning my wedding until completing the wedding albums was wonderful. The staff emails back promptly. Michelle and Doug were our wedding day photographers and they not only took amazing pictures, but were such great and easy going people to work with. When working on the wedding album, Alex was great. He emailed me back promptly and made every little change I asked for. His guidance and advice made this process effortless and I cannot wait until my album is finally ready to be picked up! Let me start this off with I hate pictures of myself so I knew finding a photographer for our wedding was going to be a challenge. Abacus studio was the first place we spoke with and they set the bar VERY high for the other studios we met with. I was picky in the sense that I don't like staged pictures, I think they look set up and not genuine but Alex and team assured me that they would take quality pictures in a style that I would love, and they were right. We worked with Michelle and she was AMAZING. She fit right in with our wedding party and didn't even bat an eye when the groomsman were getting a little crazy while taking pictures. The pictures she took were amazing and I loved every single one of them, it was hard to only pick a handful for our book! She made me feel comfortable taking the pictures and also gave great suggestion of different places we could go to get great shots. I had a little issue that happened while getting out of the car to go to the church (car grease all down my dress) and I was very upset to say the least. She calmed me down (so not part of her job description) and made sure not 1 picture showed the black grease and she delivered! I would recommend (and have) Abacus studio to anyone who is looking for a top notch studio that is responsive and answers questions long after your special day is over.

I could not have asked for a better photographer and videographer, or for better photos. But let me start at the the beggining. Alex, who is one of the owners of the studio, was very approachable and met with my family for a few consultations. He was very willing to work within our budget, and to give us the photos of our dreams. On the day of the wedding, our photographer Michelle and and our videographer Damian both arrived bright and early and went to work. They captured every moment beautifully and were very professional. They made my entire bridal party have fun and feel comfortable. I reviewed the post wedding proofs and our photos came out amazing! Michelle captured every shot. Also, we used a photo booth for our wedding. The guests loved it and had a blast! I would recommend Abacus to every bride and groom out there looking to have an exceptional team for their special event.

Abacus had done the photos for my sisters wedding in 2010 so I knew that I wanted to use them for my wedding. Alex was super laid back and able to meet with me with our budget. Michelle was fantastic with the photos and how she interacted with us all. She was my professional dress fluffer al evening haha. Damian was incredible with the videos and we can't wait to see the video. The pictures came out better then I even imagined. We can't decide on which pictures to use for our album because they are all so nice! Poor Michelle and Damian had to put up with our rowdy crazy firefighters and family. They were great!! I couldn't be happier. Thanks for getting Michael dressed for the cake cutting!!!!
