Most handmade invitations consist of 1)layer of cardstock, 2)patterned paper, 3)Vellum - colored or clear - printed in any color/colors ink, 4)Secured with an embellishment such as a snowflake brad, ribbon, etc. Invitations printed with the look of handmade.

Tips and Advice
As soon as you get engaged begin to create a timetable for all your planning. Keep all of your ideas in a book and divide into sections according to venue, flowers, dress, invitations, etc. This really helps me as the invitations designer to see the total idea for your wedding so I can create the best samples for you. If you are interested in handmade invitations make sure you leave enough time to have them created and delivered to you.
