It's been many months now since my wedding. Part of the reason I took so long to write a review is because my experience with this photographer was so traumatizing I wanted to push it from my mind, and the only reason I'm writing a review now is because I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. Lisa Huber lost my wedding photos.
She told us she had "misplaced" a memory card about two weeks after our wedding, downplaying the seriousness of it. When we did get our photos, we saw that in actuality she had lost about 2/3 if not more of the photos she had taken. To this day I don't have any professional photos from my wedding of me and my parents, my husband and his parents, our families together, my husband's extended family (that was all together for the first time in probably 20 years), pictures of dancing, pictures of grandparents, pictures of my aunts who had left their home country of Turkey for the first time in their lives for the wedding, or even a picture of me and all my bridesmaids. It was astounding, upsetting and just overall a horrible horrible experience.
As if losing our photos wasn't bad enough, we then had to spend MONTHS emailing and calling her to talk about getting reimbursed for what we had paid her. In the end, we only got 1/2 our money back and she insisted that she repay it over the course of several months in a repayment plan. In conversations I had with her she tried to use her own financial struggles as evidence of why we were being unreasonable in asking for a refund (note: I'm a student, in almost 6 figures of student loan debt, and we paid for the wedding ourselves). I have never interacted with someone so incredibly unprofessional, and I urge anyone thinking of hiring her to think again.
