About

Covering classics, with love.

The Loyales band (pronounced Loy-Al-z) is a project born from singer-songwriter & lead singer Milton's infatuation with rare, B-side soul, jazz, R&B, New Orleans music, reggae, country, folk, and classic rock. Originally started as Milton's backing band for his own tours, The Loyales have found themselves filling a "non-cheesy wedding band" niche for over 10 years now, winning rave reviews from clients & guests for the band's repertoire choices, as well as their remarkable musical chemistry. Couples appreciate the warmth the band generates throughout the wedding, from the intimacy of the ceremony music, to fun cocktail hour background music, to the beat-driven rhythms of the dance party.

The band can go in nearly any musical direction, and they customize their setlist around your musical tastes, “like a living, breathing jukebox” (New York Magazine).

For weddings and parties, Milton (lead singer and bandleader) begins his exquisite curation of the party setlist from the very first phone call with each client.

The Loyales setlist is steeped in many different styles, including 50s-90s classics, R&B, funk, classic rock, reggae, country, and more. You can have as little or as much of each style at your wedding.

“The Loyales were the best wedding band ever because they weren’t a wedding band. They were just a really great band.”
-Joel Stein, Time Magazine

Some Raves:

This band is absolutely electric.

Six years later, people are still talking about the fabulous music at our wedding party. Milton and his band The Loyales played and sang their hearts out to Johnny Cash, the Beatles, Etta James, Prince, James Brown, and more. No one could resist the urge to get up and dance. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all!
-Claire

I can unreservedly say that having The Loyales perform at our wedding was a lasting highlight. Not only did the band perform countless songs from their reserves, they played personal requests that truly “made the night”.

The Loyales were absolutely fantastic. My husband and I are big music fans and wanted to make sure that we had our guests up and dancing the entire evening and the Loyales delivered. They have an expansive song list, and even went out of their way to learn a few of our favorite songs which made the night absolutely magical. Milton has a fantastic voice and does a MEAN Bruce Springsteen (our favorite) and Julia is truly incredible - she has such vocal range and an awesome stage presence. Not only did they crush our wedding, but they were with us the night of our rehearsal dinner, playing piano and light music during the welcome cocktail reception and absolutely nailed it. They also played our ceremony music and really did such a fantastic job. I have tears in my eyes just thinking of how incredible the strings sounded at our outdoor, barn wedding. They were absolute pros with the mic and I didn't worry once about people not being able to hear, or poor sound quality. They nailed it all. We've had guests telling us since the wedding how awesome our band was - and I couldn't agree more. OH! And on top of all that, they're truly kind people and a joy to work with. I couldn't recommend them enough. 15/10!!!

Had guests cheering for an encore

Title sums it up, but The Loyales killed it, and set the perfect mood at our wedding from start to finish. It started with a beautiful string quartet to greet our guests, which then flowed into our ceremony. And when the dance floor started, it didn't stop – our crowd included several professional musicians and a producer, and all night everyone kept telling us how good the band was. At the end of the night, people literally cheered for an encore (which they happily obliged :) If you want top 40 covers go elsewhere, but if you're a fan of 60s-70s hits like us, you can't go wrong here.

Book The Loyales Now!

Our experience with the Loyales was so great. Our wedding was so great because of their music. All of our guests made sure to tell us it was the best wedding band they had heard, and we agreed! The music was great for everyone, and by the end of the night every person was tired from dancing lol. Milton was so great keeping up with us in the months leading up to our wedding with song selections and requests and just overall timelines. We cannot recommend them enough!!
