District Winery is a wedding venue in Washington DC, that hosts full-service weddings for up to 200 guests. The first working winery in Washington, DC, District Winery is located next to Navy Yard in the Capitol Riverfront community along the Anacostia River. Our modern, sophisticated, waterfront wedding venue with floor to ceiling windows, an outdoor terrace, and sweeping river views is the ideal venue for your wedding.
District Winery weddings are full service and include our highly regarded wedding cuisine and wines made onsite. Executive Chef Christian Fischhuber brings years of international culinary expertise to our venue, as he oversees every detail of your menu. Couples work with a District Winery event manager who will assist with all of the details, from helping curate the perfect wedding menu to coordinating with wedding vendors to ensure seamless execution. All District Winery weddings are turnkey and include the use of our custom walnut tables, chairs, high top tables, bar stools, marble topped bars, china, glassware, flatware, linen napkins, printed menus, and small table top items to enhance your decor.
Facilities and Capacity
An ideal venue for weddings of up to 200 guests, District Winery’s distinctive design and flexible spaces offer wedding couples options when it comes to their big day. Host your ceremony on our wraparound terrace with sweeping waterfront views or in our second floor, indoor private space with floor to ceiling windows. Enjoy cocktail hour either outdoors on the terrace or on our mezzanine level overlooking the winery production space and barrel room. Then dine and dance the night away with unobstructed riverfront and sunset views. Your wedding guests will revel in discovering unique design details as they explore the midcentury modern inspired venue and mingle in a picturesque setting.
Expert Management and Service
Our passion is creating the best wedding celebration possible for you and your guests. Highly trained District Winery catering and service professionals will serve as your wedding bartenders and waitstaff. Additionally, each couple works with a dedicated Event Manager, who confirms all wedding details, acts as a liaison with vendors, and remains on site the day of your wedding to guarantee that everything is executed to perfection.

No wedding is complete without the very best food, drink, and service possible.
In addition to being a premium winery, we also deliver a remarkable culinary experience. At District Winery, your wedding menu is crafted in-house by our expert culinary team, led by Executive Chef Christian Fischhuber. Chef Fischhuber brings a wealth of culinary experience to your day, from his time working at Michelin-starred restaurants in Austria, to overseeing fine-dining restaurants in California, to opening restaurants in New York & London. This international experience has helped him develop his signature cooking style, utilizing classic European technique with comfort and modern creativity in mind.
We offer both family-style and plated dinner service. Our refined wedding menus highlight seasonal ingredients to provide you and your guests with a memorable dining experience. In addition to our standard offerings, wedding couples also have the option to include signature cocktails, a raw bar, late-night stations, wine bottle favors, and more.
We take great pride in our culinary offerings, so we give all District Winery wedding couples the opportunity to experience our cuisine before finalizing their wedding menu. After booking a District Winery wedding, couples are invited to group couples tasting events where they taste their way through our menu items and wines in our private wedding venue space.
Other Services
Couples may rent the space in this winery for their ceremony and reception combined or their engagement party, reception, or rehearsal dinner.

District Winery is highly recommended as a wedding venue. The staff are described as amazing, accommodating, and helpful, handling every detail and making the planning process easy and streamlined. On top of that, the venue itself is beautiful with views of the river and a heated patio. The bartenders were amazing, and developed a rapport with our guests to the point that they remembered people's drink orders or came up with drinks on the spot based on what guests said they liked.
We had about 120 guests, and the room easily accommodated our wedding size without feeling too empty. The room is beautiful on its own, and it's not one of those venues where you feel like you need to add a lot of florals or expensive decor to make it feel elevated. Finally, the staff and event planners were amazing and completely committed to making sure we had the day we'd always imagined. Getting married at DW was the best decision we made!

A few highlights:
- Pre wedding they give you a coordinator about 3 months out who answers all of your questions/helps to coordinate the event (and before this 3 month mark you can email the events team and someone will get back to you!).
- They are full service - we only had to bring in music, cake, floral, photo, video and photo booth! The space is so beautiful you really don't need to bring in a ton of decor.
- The food and wine/champagne are spectacular
- They are incredibly accommodating - we asked for a few random things and they were met with and "of course!"
Our event manager Tori was incredible and we cannot thank her enough!!! Truly thank you to the entire DW team, we have heard compliment after compliment about our wedding, the staff, the venue, the food, the bar, everything and we owe it all to you guys. THANK YOU!!

Latoria brings over 10 years of hospitality industry experience to District Winery’s sales team. Her well rounded experience has made her an expert in event sales, planning and execution. Latoria is the first person you will meet on your District Winery journey; she will welcome you to our property and help you plan how to bring your dream wedding to life.
After graduating from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Hospitality Management, and a minor in International Operations Management, I started my career working in various positions in hotels across the country. My true passion has always been helping people create fun and memorable experiences.
I started working at District Winery in October of 2019, and was immediately blown away by the venue. What I love most about working events here is the on-site support we give to our clients. Many venues simply give you a space
and a date to host events, but here at District Winery we have a hands on approach that I feel has an incredible impact on our clients. People who host events with us know that they have a trained professional to help guide them through the planning process and assist them on the day-of.
