What DIY’s have y’all done for your weddings that you’d love to share?

We are doing all of the floral ourselves. Saving us thousands! Don’t mind the sock and the messiness of the spare room LOL but we were able to find all these large glass jugs and vases at home goods! Most of them were only about 15 bucks each! So we got about 20 and we are going to put them at all of the posts of the tent that we have which is fully floored and fill them with dried Pampa grass Which grows naturally where we live and in large vast abundance. We plan on picking/scavenging those a few days before the wedding as they last in pretty much any conditions LOL.
We are also doing the vase below for the round table centerpieces and we also got garland from Costco‘s for the rectangle farm tables and various roses/carnations from 50flowers.com.

We also got these which come in 10 bouquets for under 200 bucks on 50 flowers. These are also dried so there isn’t very much maintenance that we have to worry about. We plan on adding roses to these . All we have to worry about as far as maintenance goes are the roses/carnations/Garland.

So we didn't do a lot of DIY, but we did purchase templates through Etsy for our wedding programs and escort cards then had them printed at Office Depot. I found it was cheaper to do it this way rather than buy the items through an online website like Zazzle or Shutterfly. We also could customize the templates to our likely more so than if we got them from Zazzle or Shutterfly. My mother-in-law also made our flower girl dresses. It wasn't necessarily cheaper since I was just planning on buying dresses on Amazon, but it was cheaper than buying flower girl dresses from a bridal shop. She also made cake pops for our wedding favors. She offered to do both otherwise I wouldn't have had her do either one. If someone wants to help with DIY projects that is great, but I wouldn't make them. My husband also made our card box which looked like a little house since we planned on using the money we received towards our first house.

Here are some of our DIY’s! My wife built the card box and I stained and painted the design. The guest board is a whiskey barrel head.

That's awesome they want to help! I know I've seen a lot of brides post about different projects and things they wanted help with and assumed their friends and family would be on board and ended up hurt or angry when their loved ones weren't interested in helping.

I've decided to do my own favors - homemade butterscotch sauce and peanut butter sauce (we're using different jars). Did a taste test with some of our immediate family and they were a hit. I'm also working on my bouquet and his boutonniere. I'm sure there will be other DIY projects as we continue planning.
