We are having our wedding on a Sunday because the venue is $30pp cheaper than a Saturday and we have 170 guests... for those of you who are having your wedding on a Sunday, at what time are you starting your ceremony? Would 5pm be too late??

I am not having a Sunday wedding, but I would suggest having everything wrapped up by 9:00/9:30. Most receptions are 5 hours (give or take), so I would work backwards from there. Is the ceremony at the same venue as the reception? Take travel time into consideration if it isn't.

We did a brunch wedding on Sunday, that way anyone who wanted to drive back and work Monday had the option. I would be less likely to attend an evening wedding on a Sunday.

I went to a Sunday wedding this past Sunday and it started at 5. I didn't think it was late but we didn't get dinner until 7:30 and that was not ideal. Cake was supposed to be at 9pm but they moved it up to 8:30. I have a Sunday wedding next month that starts at 2. I prefer that timeslot

I just went to a wedding this last Sunday. Cocktail hour started at 4pm. After the speeches and dances, we did not eat until 630-7pm. It was too late for us. We left around 830pm.

Ceremony and Reception are at the same place. Reception is four hours including cocktail.. so... from 5pm-10pm would be okay?

I can't start earlier because my pastor usually finishes preaching between 3:30pm and 4pm.... Venue is like 20minutes away from our town. *Sigh*....

Are you having a lot of out of town guests? I would almost say start around 2 or 3.

We are having a Sunday wedding as well, but our venue requires us to start @ 2:00 PM because that is when the sun is best in the room. =/ So I really have no say in the matter, but oh well. The ending time is at our discretion really, but probably around 8 is when ours will be over. We, of course, plan to all go out on the town after, but the wedding itself will end early since it's a Sunday and a destination wedding,

Our wedding is Sunday night, 6-11pm. We know our crowds, so we don't anticipate anyone leaving early or having any issue.

You're having a Sunday wedding with a Saturday timeline. Leaving a reception at 11:00 PM on a Sunday is way too late for me. By 9:30, I'd be thinking about work the next day.

I'm all for Sunday weddings, but I like the idea of something that starts around 2:00 PM. I think it's great timing and a great way to end the weekend.
