Signature Drink for Winter Wedding

My FH and I are getting married in January. I would love to incorporate a signature drink into our bar selection but I have no idea what would be a good drink to serve in winter that a bartender can whip up. I'm not a super-fancy drinker, usually stick to wine, and don't know any drinks that are popular.

I would love some suggestions!

Hmm... a hot drink like mulled wine or Irish coffee would be nice but maybe too complicated for the bartender to "whip up" all night? If that doesn't work, I'd just go for wintery colors... like maybe something with cranberry juice. Sangria is my fave and red sangria could mayyybe look wintery depending on what fruits are in it. And (plus for a fellow wine-lover) it's basically just wine! Good luck!

Honestly, I would stick to a regular drink, rather than a seasonal one. Many people will not want a sweet or hot drink.

What are your colors? Perhaps we can make suggestions based on that.

Or, since it is winter, you could go with good old Bourbon (that's what the St. Bernards carry in the barrel to warm people up when they're frozen).

    (I'm on a roll now)

    Winter Rum Punch

**can be made in large batch-form**

2 parts Flor de Cana Rum

    1 part apple cider

1 part Benedictine or Orange liqueur

    1/2 part maple syrup

1/2 part fresh lemon juice or grapefruit juice

Directions: Combine ingredients in a punch bowl. Add ice when ready to serve, and stir well. Ladle into punch glasses.

Garnish: candy canes and freshly grated nutmeg

Hi ladies, sorry I wasn't on at all last night (weird, I know) but I think all these ideas are great! I'll bring them to my venue coordinator and see if we can do anything here. Love you all!
