The thought of a sash on a dress doesn't thrill me but I see a bunch of real brides with them. Show me your gorgeous dresses if you're going sashless!

    No sash needed...

The embroidery is more than enough.

(Excuse the HAM I am in this pic. I had just got home from a long day at work.)

Somehow a sash just didn't work with this.

I don't know why that's sideways and can't fix it. Also, Whimsical, that dress is amazeballs!!!

I actually originally bought a sash for my dress, but decided against it and I was glad I did!

Mine wouldn't work with a sash because of the part under the bust. I really like sashes but going without saved me money! Plus I'm afraid that sashes are maybe a trend that I'll look back on in 20 years and go "what was I thinking??" but I'm pretty sure no matter what we'll all end up looking back at our wedding dress in 20 years thinking that. Trends change so quickly!

No sash. I have another dress for the first look that the consultant tried to talk me into a sash to go with it. It has a floral detail that dips down to the waist. Nope. They are only as necessary as you think they are. Good luck!

No sash for me. I have a decal on my hip that is more than enough.

(This is the model, don't have one if me in it on my iPad)

I always pictured a dress with a sash. This dress does not need more

Here's my dress! No sash for me, between the ruching and the rosette/beading, it looks perfect as-is.

I personally am not a fan of sashes either, but I think some brides look great with them. Here is my extremely blingy dress! My Thai dress does have a traditional gold belt, but my Vietnamese one does not have a belt either.

Ahhhhhhh gorgeous ladies!!!! I'm glad to see so many went sashless. Obviously it was to push sales but when I went to try on dresses they kept insisting on wearing one and I was all like ewww.

Abby: That is my dream dress. DB discontinued it about two years ago, and it took me almost six months to find it, but I did find it on eBay in my size for $100...including the matching veil.

Mine sort of has an embroidery detail across where a sash would go. Some people add a sash in between the two sections, but I didn't think it was necessary.

My dress wouldn't have looked right with a sash. The top part continued down toward the hip area. BTW, I love seeing everyone's beautiful dresses!

My dress came with a sash (pic #1), but I didn't like it. I bought a different sash (2) to go with it then chose to go sashless (3) once the actual day came along.
