Better insanely late than never? We got married during the holiday season at the end of last year. Our ceremony was shared with our immediate families under the tree at the edge of our yard. We spent the morning listening to Christmas carols, drinking hot cocoa, and feasting on Christmas cookies. DH tried to figure out how boutonnieres work while simultaneously complaining about their existence. I DIY’d my bouquet from a grocery store floral arrangement, wrapping it with lace and later dropping it off at my late grandmother’s grave. When it was time, we walked down to the tree and said our vows while our godson/nephew threw snowballs into the air and giggled uncontrollably. After we said I do, we walked back inside and had our mothers sign the marriage license while we hunted down the cookies our dog, Obi, didn’t eat while we left him unsupervised. We then spent the rest of the day/week with our family – as we do every Christmas season. Below are first kiss, me swooning, and ceremony.
