I'm ready to start creating my invitations! I need some help with the wording though. Please post your wedding invitations or the ones you are thinking of using/inspiration. Anything with wording would help me greatly! Smiley smile Thanks!

These were mine. We hand typed them up via typewriter and put them together ourselves. I took the wording from a few different invites I saw on OffBeatBride.

(last pic is hopefully more legible for wording.)

Oops *edited to take out personal info - derp!

We ordered this from William Arthur. I get the feeling this isn't the inspiration you are looking for but FH wanted somthing simple and classic and I just wanted something classic too so this worked perfectly for us. We chose a charcoal gray font with ecru paper because I liked how it was softer than just a black font.

    The wording basically went:

Mr. and Mrs. Dad's Firstname middlename lastname

request the pleasure of your company

at the marriage of their daughter

    Myfirstname Middlename

    to

    FH's Firstname Middlename Lastname

    Saturday, the eighteenth of October

    Two Thousand and Fourteen

    at half past five o'clock

    venue street address

    city, state

    Reception to follow

This is the stock photo of ours from the website we ordered from...

    http://www.minted.com/product/foil-pressed-wedding-invitations/MIN-OY7-IFS/dapper-amper?org=photo

We changed the main text to read: "Together with their families invite you to put your feet in the sand, soak up the sun and raise a glass in celebration of their marriage"

We chose these beauties. They're probably my favorite wedding purchase so far. We're currently in the proofing phase and can't wait to see our final invites!

My sister made mine and saved me over $150! This is not what we ended up ordering but the wording is the same as what we ordered just with a different venue and address

Thanks Marissa... glad I could help! We wanted to do something fun since it is a DW but we didn't want to do the boarding pass/ticket invite - so that was our happy medium Smiley smile Goodluck and make sure you post your finished product!

Here's what we decided on! We took awhile choosing wording that fit us and our event.

Oh, and since you can't really read the wording, there's a James Thurber quote on the front and the back says:

"Mr & Mrs & Mr & Mrs invite you to join them for an evening of merriment and marriage as their children, KayRay & Matt, celebrate the beginning of their lifelong adventure. Dinner and dancing to follow."
