i need help with footwear!

Samantha, on July 8, 2020 at 11:47 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

I'm having my wedding outdoors in a garden and I need advice on footwear. I am stuck between doing a typical low-heel/flat or barefoot sandals. I'm wondering if going barefoot is a "Big No-No" unless your wedding is at a beach. I've gone barefoot as often as I could throughout my whole life, so my family wouldn't be too shocked. But is it like, against the wedding rules to be barefoot for a garden wedding?

ETA: It's kind of a soft bohemian style wedding.

There is no rule, honey, go barefoot! I'd get my toes painted but I like that sort of thing LOL

Seriously, be comfy. It's your wedding so wear what you'd like!

Totally go barefoot if that’s more you!
I’ll be making a short hike uphill over rocky terrain for our mountain wedding, so I went with these boots that aren’t “traditional,” but I love them and will wear them again. i need help with footwear! 1

If you're used to it and it's a bohemian style, i think it's ok to go barefoot

Is this a garden that you had to rent the space from someone? If so, I would check with owners about their rules. Otherwise, do what you want. I wore converses which aren't considered traditional wedding footwear, but I was very comfortable and didn't have to worry about tripping or being uncomfortable in heels.

Nothing wrong with going barefoot. Especially since you're having a bohemian theme wedding so it will actually compliment that. You could even get foot jewelry to add a little something special. If you google bridal barefoot sandals you'll see a bunch of ideas.

I would go barefoot. I have been to a mountain wedding and the couple were both barefoot. I thought it was awesome!

The only thing about barefoot, mind where you step. I am too worried to step on “something unpleasant” or having a splinter on an important day 😜

There is nothing wrong with going barefoot and if your dress is long it doesn't really matter. You can wear cute sneakers (ie converses, keds), flats, or a block heel to make it easier to walk in if you want to wear shoes

There's nothing wrong with going barefoot if that's what makes you comfortable, but it might be a good idea to do a few trial runs/walks first and have some shoes with you as a back up. Just so you know you have them if, during your trials you step on something that causes you to make a face you'd rather not have photographed.
