Help! Need to find nice hotel in Bahamas for Honeymoon

My fiancé and I have decided to travel to the Bahamas for our honeymoon! We Booked our flights, but have yet to book a hotel! I am leaning towards Baha Mar. The hotel looks amazing- pools, water activities, multiple restaurants, casino inside. There is so much to do!! But, I'm worried it may not be romantic? Thoughts?? Is it more of a singles or family atmosphere? We would love to do Sandels, but it is out of our budget.

Are there any other good hotel options ( Romantic, candle-lit dinners on the beach, but with the fun aspects of Baha Mar? Or, does Baha Mar have a romantic side as well?

Thank you!!

We’re going to Baha Mar too! Haven’t looked into too much to do yet, we were actually planning something much more local and then my FH surprised me with a whole Bahamas plan! We are going to be staying at the Grand Hyatt. I think we will probably spend 90% of our time just relaxing on the beach, by the pool, at the resort lol. We are planning to do snorkeling, I really want to do swimming with dolphins, and will probably do a day trip to Atlantis because FH really wants to see it. I think we’ll be splurging on a cabana rental one day, and probably do a couples massage/spa day at some point while we’re there.

I kinda like the idea of having minimal plans though! FH and I spent a week in Hawaii before and spent literally all but 1 day just hanging out by the pool, and didn’t regret a single second of it hahaha. Leaves more time to just relax and enjoy each other’s company

Hey Amanda! My aunt and uncle actually stayed at Baha Mar for their 20th anniversary and loved it!!! They said they got to relax by the pool, swim with stingrays but also enjoy a massage and romantic dinners! I say go for it! I also read good reviews about the Grand Hyatt that Gen mentioned above!
