What are you guys doing?

If you're having assigned tables/seats?

I have seen SOOOOO many different ideas and I love them all but I cannot figure out what would be easiest!

I don't want a door jam lol

For now I'm combining favors and place cards. I'm assigning tables but not seats. I'm going to glue a personalized ribbon bow with "Thank you" and the wedding date on these little boxes.

They'll just be on a little table by the entrance to the room.

I wish I had pictures of my stuff, but I don't! You know how you get those little specific details about the wedding that you obsess about? Or is that just me lol...anyway, one of mine is the escort card arrangement! I'm doing little business-card size envelopes of my 3 wedding colours (blush, ivory, and champagne) in rows on a bulletin board that's covered in a matching fabric. Each one has a cute little shaped card in one of the 3 colours. So each envelope will have a guest's name on it with the number of their table inside on the card! It's going to be a big display, so I'm combining couples/families together onto the same card. Otherwise, 150 cards would be outrageous lol...especially for DIY.

@Alexa...I know exactly what you mean, but that is adorable! I was thinking of doing a key arrangement kind of similar. But like this...I was afraid it might be too time consuming for people to find their name but combining families/couples is a great idea!

I plan on doing a board, it seems like the easiest and quickest way for guest to find their seat.

This was the inspiration my planner had for our place cards display. however she's making it out of floral foam carved into hills and covered in moss (think rolling hills of Ireland!) with the place cards tented on top. Each menu choice will be denoted by a different shaped Celtic knot, diamond for beef, trinity for chicken, star for children and heart for vegetarian. And we're assigning tables not seats cause ain't nobody got time for that!

I would just do simple tent cards and place them on a table decorate nicely outside the door of the reception area! Tent cards are probably the cheapest way to go as well! If you need help pm me =)

We personalized a matchbox for every couple/family. Since DH and I met on match it seemed appropriate.

I would love to see everyone's seating charts and their seating boards myself. I have NO clue what we will do for the board or poster, I'd love some good ideas.

We are just going to print tent cards and put a small sand dollar/starfish cut out of our colors paper and then place them in wooden trays painted to match our colors filled with sand and shells :0). We were thinking of doing the trays by table but my cousin (who works in the wedding business) talked us out of it as he said it is much more difficult to find your name and highly suggests an alphabetical listing no matter how it is displayed.

We're going to have the assigned tables (not seats) on a board. We'll have it framed and put it on the venue's easel. Something similar to this...

I am using traditional tent like place cards since I am only assigning tables. I think I am going to try and space them out though, so there is no real rush to get to them.

We're puttinn ours in the program. We also have a golf theme so may do a "leaderboard" as guests enter ballroom that lists table numbers also.
