Don't know where to go

Sierra, on April 3, 2019 at 4:53 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 15
Hello. I am getting married next month on the 26th. I was wondering where is the BEST place to go to have your honeymoon? I was thinking going camping but I'm really undecided.

We are planning our honeymoon for September, which is a couple months after our June wedding. We will be going to either Colorado, Montana, or Wyoming. More than likely staying in a cabin.

That depends on your budget, you likes, your hobbies, your location, how far you want to travel, what you want to do/see, etc. We're going to Charleston, SC to stay for a week in an AirBnB. Plan is to relax, walk around, explore, eat the local foods, swim, etc..

I mean like ideas. Some places are so expensive. Don't have enough money for expensive type places.

That's still going to depend - All inclusive locations are more $$ because it includes everything. Things to consider:

What do you consider expensive? What's your budget?

How long do you want to be on your honeymoon? A weekend? A week?

What are you wanting to do on your honeymoon? See new things, relax, swim, camp, drink, etc

Where are you located? Are you willing to fly somewhere? Are you wanting within a few hours drive?

We are going to Hawaii, and super excited. Camping-wise, we love going to CO and WY. But WY would be pretty snow covered and cold in May, so I'd vote CO! Or maybe CA on the beach somewhere?

That's helpful to know. If you want to go camping, that's awesome. Since I don't know if you're wanting to travel/fly/drive, I just searched GA Camping Honeymoon and it looks like there are several great choices of places to camp! For a weekend get away, FH and I stayed in a cabin that had a hot tub (in June). It was so nice to sit in and relax. We stopped on the way there to grab some food since the cabin had a full kitchen. We made snacks and cooked frozen meals (pizza) while we were there instead of eating out every meal. That alone saved quite a bit of money. I think it was like $500 for three nights, plus the food and the gas to get there. We plan on going back for sure!

Are you talking tent camping, renting an RV, staying in a cabin? Are you wanting somewhere local, within driving distance, want to fly etc. There are lots of factors that play into when, where and how much.

You are in a good time frame for all state parks and campgrounds to be open but a lot of them, at least the cheaper ones don't allow reservations. The sites (tent or rv) are on a 1st come 1st serve basis. If you are wanting to fly somewhere and depending on where you are, I would look into maybe getting a AirBnb in the mountains. Tennessee mountains are beautiful yet pretty inexpensive compared to other places. Cheapflights.com, cheapoair.com, orbitz, expedia all offer cheap flight options if you are flexible with your travel days.

I just saw a response that you are in Ga! That is perfect for Tennessee! Its a beautiful drive, about 2-5 hours depending on where you want to go. Stone Mountain Park also had a beautiful campground. The N. Ga mountains are also great this time of year.
