Ceremony Decor

Amber, on December 11, 2019 at 2:44 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4

Alright, I'm in desperate need of assistance. We had originally planned to have an outdoor ceremony (when our date was in May), but now that we're having a February wedding I'm planning to have to use the chapel at our venue if the weather doesn't cooperate with us. I bought some shepherds hooks to use with these glittery mason jars to line the aisles for our ceremony (pic below), but obviously we can't stick the hooks into the floor of the chapel lol

BUT I just went on our venues website and they had this picture with shepherds hooks in the chapel! I cannot for the life of me figure out what the things are at the base of them. I searched just about everything I can possible thing of to find these and no luck!

Does anyone know what these are called and where I could find them? Or something I could use for the same effect to make the shepherds hooks suitable for indoor use? Thank you in advance!

It looks like wood they maybe wood posts and just holes drilled into them so they stay.

It is just pieces of 2x4's nailed together in a cross shape to allow for the stake part of the hooks to sit in and hold them up. I doubt you will be able to find these online as I am pretty sure they were made so if you know anyone handy with a saw, ask if they can make them for you if you buy the materials.

It looks like they just DIYed them with 2X4’s. If you know someone with even minimal woodworking skills, they could probably make them for you. You could probably stick them in jars or buckets of sand and maybe put decorative stones or grass on top.

Hey Amber! As the pps mentioned, these stands look like they were purpose-made for these specific hooks.

Do you have anyone handy or into DIY that you would be able to consult about making them for the shepherd hooks that you already have?
