Cake Smushing

Thoughts on cake smushing? It looks like SO much fun to smash the cake into each other's faces, but really... does anyone want to deal with that mess? I personally told my FH I didn't want cake smushing. I am paying for my make-up to get done, and I don't want to have to redo it... plus I don't want to smell like spoiled milk the rest of the night (depending on the frosting)... AND I would be LIVID if the frosting stained my dress.

But then again it looks SO fun... maybe at the very end of the night?

Maybe at the end of the night, but definitely not during the reception, I don't want that in my hair and ruining my makeup!

Hell no. I'm going to be so pissed at FH if he does this to me.. Im not paying all that money for my dress, hair, and makeup for him to smash cake on my face. I know some people like doing it, and that's fine. But its not my thing.

I like it when it is playful and cute, like a little icing gets on your nose....but the full on smashing and shoving cake in each other's faces.....no thank you!

No part of it looks or sounds fun to me.

No. To me it seems hostile and has the potential to get out of hand. I've seen blood drawn during these things.

OO you're about to get a hella lot of brides going "Oh hell no its so disrespectful bladdedydydydgagagagag"

Honestly it will probably happen at our wedding. It isn't that serious and pro makeup won't come off. I think it is cute and I highly doubt your entire face/hair/dress will get covered in cake probably a smush on your lips maybe nose.

Probably. No guarantee he won't end up with an icing hand print on his ass either. Fun photos and memories are way more important to me than not smudging my make up. We're playful, so, I expect this day to be no different!

Y'all may want to discuss with your BP and GM because I attended a wedding this past weekend that the bride and groom didn't do smash the cake and the bridal party and grooms men shoved cupcakes in their faces right after. Bride had the look of murder on her face, along with lots of cake up her nose.

We did not smash cake. DH was well aware that I was not into that at all. Plus, our bottom tier that we cut was lime green and neon pink. It would have stained for sure. Everyone kept cheering for us to smash, but we didn't. I did take a finger amount of icing and dab it on DH's nose. It got everyone to shut up and it made for a cute picture lol

That was super rude of the BP. Good thing we're not having cupcakes!

We won't be cake smashing. FH and I both hate it and see it disrespectful.
