Happy New Year everyone!

My Fiancé and I will he sending out invitations very soon and we wanted to know the proper etiquette when it comes to address people on the invitations. So for a single person, we would address it as Mr. or Ms. Smith. But if it’s for a family would it be ok to state Smith family on the evelope? What about for a married couple too? Mr. and Mrs. Smith? Or do we incorporate their first names too?

I just put full name so a single person for example would be Sam Smith, for a whole family I put Smith Family and for couples I put Sarah & Sam Smith. I believe the womens name goes first but I could be wrong.

I put Mr. and Mrs X for a couple or
Ms. Firstname Y and Mr. Firsrname X if couple has different last names (I use Miss if they are young and not married)
The X family for kids who are younger/live at home
I’ve also listed Mr. and Mrs. X then kids full names underneath for families whose kids are older but are in a place where they don’t have a permanent address (traveling abroad/in college/in the service)
