From the moment we first connected with Jean, we knew we were in good hands. She was one of the kindest and sweetest vendors we worked with throughout the entire wedding process. Jean made everything so easy and stress-free — she listened to our vision, offered thoughtful suggestions, and was so incredibly accommodating every step of the way. Not only was our wedding cake absolutely beautiful, it was delicious — guests are still talking about it! Her attention to detail and talent are unmatched, and you can tell she truly puts her heart into every single creation. On top of all that, Jean was more than reasonable and genuinely cared about making our day perfect, not just selling a product. We are so grateful to have had her be part of our special day. Jean, thank you for everything — you are a gem, and we can’t recommend you enough!

Not only did we absolutely love our wedding cake, but the service provided by Wooden Pin was phenomenal. Cara and her team are incredibly professional and so talented. Our cake tasting will always be a highlight from the wedding planning process. We had so much fun designing the cake and selecting cake flavors with Cara, it was very easy to work together - so much so, that Wooden Pin also provided cookies for our "night before" that got outstanding views from our guests as well. I couldn't be happier with how our cake turned out from a design and taste perspective, it was fantastic.

Upon looking for a bakery to do our cake for our wedding, we came across awesome sweets n instantly fell in love with the openness n professionalism. They not only have the most greatest way of doing a cake tasting so there's no pressure but the staff is friendly n so welcoming. They are open n flexible n are willing to accommodate all allergies. We will definitely go to them again for an event. ☺️

BEST BAKERY!!! They will customize anything for you and sample whatever you'd like. There was simply no other choice, you can't touch the quality of their cakes. So amazing!!!

We loved our experience with Wingate's Cake Design! Lauren made the process incredibly easy, and the finished product was not only beautiful, but delicious. From the cake tasting (which is incredibly flexible and lets you mix and match many of her cake and frosting flavors) to the design (she has a huge inventory of examples, and then helps you create your own unique vision) to the finished product (which was flawlessly executed and DELICOUS), we could not recommend her more. Everyone was raving about our cake, and we had no leftovers :) Bonus - Lauren is so kind, and she knows so many of the vendors in the Newport area, making the coordination between vendors seamless.

We found CakesRI through our photographer (memoriesRI) who is her husband who does amazing photography/videography. She is the sweetest person you could ever meet and totally see's your vision in the type of wedding cake you want. Our cake blew our expectations of the taste & how it looked! It was absolutly beautiful! Exactly what we visioned! I received so many compliments of our cake! how beautiful it was & how delicious it was! We had a small wedding and Sweet Cakes designed a beautiful 2-layer cake and delivered it to Block Island, RI on time and in perfect condition. Being a seaside wedding, the cake was adorned with seashells sand dollars and for the extra touch, live red roses to match the bride's bouquet. The yellow cake was delicious and the raspberry filling was a tasty addition. We felt the buttercream frosting was very well prepared. Everyone enjoyed their dessert!!

I highly recommend Mariela's. Jessica was fabulous to work with. She was super easy to communicate with, extremely accommodating and the pricing was very reasonable. The macaroons were a huge hit and the display was absolutely gorgeous. She was able to match our colors perfectly. The macaroons were really amazing and we received tons of compliments. Jessica delivered and set-up our dessert table and it was perfect and made for one less thing to worry about the day of. I can't recommend them enough!
