What services does a wedding florist provide?

Flowers: A big part of your wedding flower budget will go to the actual purchasing of the flowers. It actually takes several hours for a florist to put a flower order together—and the flowers your florist will receive from his or her wholesaler or grower are far better quality than the ones you can buy at your local grocery store. They’re grown especially to be featured at events and are hand-selected for their quality.
Flower processing and storage: Once your flowers arrive to your florist, he or she will take several hours (often a whole day!) to process your flowers (taking thorns off of roses, counting the flowers, etc.) and storing them in a refrigerated space to ensure they look amazing on your wedding day.
Labor and production: Now, it’s time for your florist to create those beautiful arrangements! Each arrangement takes time to design (probably more than you would think!), so it’s quite a long process.
Delivery and set up: Your florist and his/her team will then bring your arrangements to your venue. A good amount of work needs to be done on premises to make sure that your ceremony and reception looks picture-perfect, from the altar to the reception table arrangements.
Cleanup: After your wedding, your florist and his/her team will go to your venue to remove all of the arrangements and vessels, and assist with cleanup.

I was coming in from out of town for my wedding so we did everything remotely by phone and email-- they were kind, responsive, efficient through the whole process, and made my vision a reality. The ceremony backdrop, centerpieces, and my bouquet were all gorgeous, the colors and floral designs were just as we discussed, and I couldn't have been happier.

We talked with quite a few decor vendors and no one was like Jordyn. We talked about what we wanted and she TRULY listened and came back with details and a detailed vision execution. We told her the vibe (moody and twinkly) and she didn't just do what we thought we wanted, she presented what we said we wanted for a vibe and it exceeded all expectations. RLM was not the least expensive or the most, but it came back above our budget. But we LOVED working with her up to that point, so we worked together to lower some costs while maintaining authenticity to the vision. I walked into our wedding and was BLOWN AWAY. We know in talking with Jordyn and her team that she got it, but to SEE it exceeded all visions we had. We found RLM through a blind web search and it was one of the best gems from our day. I worried about nothing and the RLM team took care of everything. We felt, after every interaction, that Jordyn understood, got it, and then her and her team executed things incredibly. I would not hesitate, not for one second, to recommend her and her team for any wedding.

We had met with lots of different florists in advance of our wedding, many of whom tend to push their vision or suggest extra decor (that of course drives up the prices). Cattleya was a breath of fresh air, and Candy was so incredibly easy to work with. She is accommodating and flexible, and offered suggestions to maximize the “greenery” look we were wanting at our venue (The Fairlie). We were floored at how beautiful the venue looked when she was done. Absolutely stunning. And she was there for setup and teardown and was on top of everything. She had even attended the vendor walkthru in advance of the wedding without question (not all vendors will do this). We never once felt like we didn’t get the absolute best service, quality, and results. Support a small local business and use Cattleya!!!! You won’t regret it!

I’m so glad I went with Trablume for my florals. I was having a hard time finding any florist in Chicago who did not require a steep minimum for flowers, but Trablume allowed us to stick to our budget while providing amazing service.
