What services does a wedding florist provide?

A wedding florist provides a variety of services, some of which might not be obvious at first.

Consultation: Your wedding florist will meet with you to discuss your vision for your wedding—your venue, your wedding style, your desired color palette, and the types of flowers you like and dislike. Your florist will then create a proposal which will describe the arrangements he or she will create as well as the prices.
Samples: After you’ve signed a contract and shortly before your wedding, your florist may also provide sample arrangements to ensure that you’re on the same page about how your wedding-day flowers will look.
Flowers: A big part of your wedding flower budget will go to the actual purchasing of the flowers. It actually takes several hours for a florist to put a flower order together—and the flowers your florist will receive from his or her wholesaler or grower are far better quality than the ones you can buy at your local grocery store. They’re grown especially to be featured at events and are hand-selected for their quality.
Flower processing and storage: Once your flowers arrive to your florist, he or she will take several hours (often a whole day!) to process your flowers (taking thorns off of roses, counting the flowers, etc.) and storing them in a refrigerated space to ensure they look amazing on your wedding day.
Labor and production: Now, it’s time for your florist to create those beautiful arrangements! Each arrangement takes time to design (probably more than you would think!), so it’s quite a long process.
Delivery and set up: Your florist and his/her team will then bring your arrangements to your venue. A good amount of work needs to be done on premises to make sure that your ceremony and reception looks picture-perfect, from the altar to the reception table arrangements.
Cleanup: After your wedding, your florist and his/her team will go to your venue to remove all of the arrangements and vessels, and assist with cleanup.

Kimberly from Forever in Bloom was an absolute delight to work with. Right after reaching out, she created a 'vision board' for us, really helping to picture how everything would look. We definitely changed what we wanted a few times through the planning process, and Kimberly was always extremely flexible and responsive. She was even willing to set up other decor we had, such as disco balls and frames. Forever in Bloom is much more affordable than many of the other florists we reached out to, but it does not show in the quality of service at all- everything was perfect! We could not be happier with how all of the florals turned out- they were absolutely beautiful and even more amazing than we could've imagined!

It was such a joy to work with Heather on our wedding flowers! She made every step of the process so easy and fun. During our first meeting, she made sure we talked through all the details she needed to understand our vision for our big day, and she helped give us guidance on the quantities and types of florals we would need. We felt the pricing was more than fair for what we wanted, too (especially now after seeing how gorgeous everything turned out!) As we got closer to the wedding, she helped us refine the specifics of what we wanted, making sure that we got just the right colors, types of flowers and greenery, and quantities. She made a beautiful two-part floral arrangement for our triangular arbor, along with a large arrangement for our sweetheart table, greenery to accent our rustic table centerpieces, florals for our cutting cake, and of course all of our bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres. She even provided LED candles and votives to help accent our centerpieces! Heather absolutely nailed what we were looking for – all of the florals were simply stunning and brought so much beauty to our big day. Not only that, but her promptness and organization made working with her easy, and her positivity and friendliness brought a little extra joy to our special day. Thank you Heather for your beautiful work! We would highly recommend Florals by Heather Ann for wedding flowers or any occasion!
