Encore made my special day the most amazing experience. Between my endless phone calls and requests, they did everything they could to make sure it went smoothly. The food was spectacular and I still have people talking about it a month and a half later! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We just got married and had our reception at The Collins at the Clocktower, and it was everything I could have dreamed of! Y’all, let me just say that you can not believe what perfect timing and providence it was. My original venue had just fallen through on me when I saw an ad for the Clocktower on facebook 45min after it was posted, and I contacted them immediately. It was a brand new, up and coming location, so the ad only had a picture of an artist’s rendering of what it would look like, but I was already sold! I fell in love with the open space and those WINDOWS! Amy quickly got back to me and we set up a tour right after. I got the Clocktower booked about a week later in January for my wedding at the end of April, just 4 months later. We had the very first wedding reception in this space, and all the necessary renovations were completed in time to make for the most perfect day. Now wow, what a location it is! This is an iconic building, and the fact that it has been renovated to be an event space is just brilliant. The space fit my 220 guests comfortably, with a dance floor and a large head table! Their vendor list was fundamental in our search for a caterer within our budget, and we used their sister company, Blue Sky Event Rentals, for our table settings and linens. It made for the perfect middle ground between an all inclusive venue and a total DIY. Amy Collins was upbeat and easy to work with, ready to roll with whatever wrenches come up on a wedding day, as they always do, without making me, the bride, aware of any of them. We had periodic phone calls which were helpful for keeping each other up to date and making sure that everything was on track. All of my husband and I’s guests have raved about what a good time they had! Everyone loved it, I had several people tell me that it was the best wedding that they had been to in years. Not to mention that Chelsea was the perfect central location for all of our surrounding guests, and near hotels for the out of towners. My daughter got married there and had a reception that followed. Food was amazing and service there was incredible. The size is great for 160 people. Our issues while minor were: After the ceremony visitors had to exit the building into the cold (12/6) and walk around the building to reenter. Not a big deal but is cumbersome. Main issue was with staff that decided to scrub the floor as guests waited to get in the door and another who ran a loud sweeper in the ceremony room after guests were seated. Other than these 2 issues they are great to work with and the venue is set but very nice!

This may have been the BEST choice I made planning the wedding. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff is sooo nice!! We decided to choose this hall because of the bar (which is from the olympia club "If you know you know") But then we tasted the food and it was phenomenal! I have only heard great things about the food and the staff from our wedding on 12/14. I do want to make a SPECIAL shout out to Julia, she was absolutely amazing, she made sure everything ran smooth and everything was done the best that it could be! I couldn't be more happy with how amazing the venue is as a hall and I will recommend them to everyone for any occasion honestly!

Choosing The Colony Club as our wedding reception venue was one of the best decisions we made. After getting engaged, we toured multiple metro and downtown Detroit venues with the hope of finding something elegant, classic, and timeless. Many were beautiful—but when we walked into The Colony Club, we immediately felt that this was the one. The entire style and vibe were exactly what we were looking for. We fell in love with every space—from Bar Charles to the breathtaking Grand Ballroom. We were also impressed by how much was included without extra add-on costs: tables, chairs, food, liquor, signature drinks, and more. It made planning easier and helped us stay within budget. From our very first meeting, we worked with Amber, our sales manager, and she stayed with us up until the week of the wedding. Amber was absolutely exceptional throughout the entire process. She was helpful, organized, flexible, and so easy to communicate with. We met multiple times at the venue, both with and without her, while making decisions for the big day, and she was always available to answer questions, address concerns, and offer thoughtful advice. Amber took care of coordinating with our other vendors, and I never once felt worried about how things would come together. Even during the stressful week leading up to the wedding—when I was emailing and calling constantly—she was patient, reassuring, and truly amazing to work with. Now the food… wow. It was exceptional! We still have guests raving about everything—from the appetizers to the entrées. The service and quality exceeded all of our expectations, and friends and family continue to tell us what an incredible wedding it was. From our very first appointment with Amber to the moment our reception began, we could not imagine having our wedding anywhere else. We will always look back on our wedding day with so much gratitude, happiness, and appreciation that we chose The Colony Club. If you’re considering this venue, trust me—you will not regret it!

Cathy was amazing. The venue was absolutely incredible and we loved It. Never thought It would turn out as beautiful as It did but I give 10/10 to Cathy and her staff. Thank you and we are still in awe how our day turned out.

We had a wonderful experience here for our wedding shower and wedding reception. The people here are incredible to work with and the food was delicious. I have a lot of food restrictions and they went out of their way to make me a separate meal to ensure that I had enough to eat. The space was beautiful and it was low stress working with IACS. Definitely recommend!

Darlene and Tom were so lovely to work with for my wedding! They were accommodating, flexible, and helped us redo our floorplan after some unexpected events happened! As far as the venue, it was absolutely perfect. The banquet room fit our 113 guests, a band stage, and a 16x16 dancefloor and there was still lots of space for our guests to move around. We were huge fans of the patio area and the foyer as well, as our guests are able to step away from the music and mingle with each other!

The nonprofit I work for used The Diamondback for our fundraising event, and let me tell you... it was a huge hit! While there were a few minor logistical bumps along the way, the team was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the process. The fundraiser ended up being the best turnout we’ve ever had, and I truly believe that was partly due to the uniqueness of the venue. The only thing I might suggest for the future would be having two buffet lines instead of one, as the dinner line was a bit long, but that was really just a result of having so many people attend, which is a great problem to have! 🙂 Definitely a hidden gem!

I could not have imagined a more perfect place to have our special day. The Whiskey Factory is not only the most beautiful venue, but the staff is amazing. They worked so hard and kept such great communications with us in order to make our dream day possible. I could not recommend The Whiskey Factory more!
