This was a perfect venue. Originally, we chose it for the food - the chefs are all CIA trained and the menu was very important to my husband. As we continued to work with them, Serena was wonderful. As an event planner myself, I appreciated her knowledge and professionalism, and her willingness to make just about anything I asked for happen. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, she made a number of excellent suggestions for things I hadn't even thought of that I incorporated into the day and, at the end of the night, she airdropped me something like 70 photos that she'd been taking throughout the day, which were wonderful to look through the next morning. I had an excellent experience here, and I would absolutely book another big event with Birch Hill and Serena.

~Where to begin? When we reached out to Adena Orchard & Vine, Alana told us that all we'd have to do to fall in love with it is to just take a trip and see it in person. Boy, was she right. Adena was the first venue we looked at, and we knew right away that it was everything we were looking for! ~Alana & Kevin feel like family, no joke. From the beginning, Alana was extremely communicative and transparent about costs, vendors, and even time. We have had such an amazing time communicating with her, that it's so hard to think that it's finally over. Jackiie and I knew from the get-go that we would be having a large, bohemian, non-traditional, DIY wedding, and Adena fully truly wholly delivered. From the GORGEOUS setting deep in the Catskills, to the STUNNING authentic barn that Kevin has put so much work into restoring, our wedding would not have been anywhere near as magical or perfect had Adena not hosted it. ~Alana's thoughtful and thorough list of vendors in the area was integral to us finding the perfect collaborators for our big day. The whole family was incredibly helpful and excited to get to help us iron out details and move tables around the day before (and of). Kevin had the best technical considerations and advice throughout the whole process. If you are looking for a transactional, cookie-cutter, wedding factory, hands-off venue, find it elsewhere. If you are looking for a human touch, endless enthusiasm, plentiful creativity, to feel cared for, look no further. This family feels like our family. ~Things we love in no particular order: stunning and thoughtful get ready rooms (for both me and Jackiie, it was so important that we both felt special as it was OUR day!); lovely vintage furniture in the barn and main house; idyllic views of the Catskills; how Alana just hopped in as our wedding fairy godmother (no joke, this is her name in my phone) when we didn't have a wedding planner; everyone's willingness to creative problem-solve and roll with the punches when our day-of timeline flew out the window; the bonfire at the end of the night (our guests have not stopped raving); all the little nooks and areas for folks to explore and disappear and contemplate (the willow bridge & the tree tunnel, to name a couple); ok I could keep going on and on and on, but there is nothing not to love. ~We cannot wait to get our photos back so that we can share more, but please enjoy these two magical images (courtesy of Rosey Red Photography, you HAVE to book them). ~Adena fam; there are no words to describe how important you are to us, and how wonderful it has been to work with you. The Ruins at Sassafras was an INCREDIBLE wedding venue!! 10/10 would highly recommend! We could not have been happier with how our wedding weekend went. First of all, the venue is STUNNING, with so many amazing places to take pictures all over the property. It was also so much fun to have our wedding party stay over the whole weekend on the property with us. It was really special having everyone stay over together, and the house where you sleep is gorgeous, spacious, very clean, and has a beautiful back patio with amazing mountain views where we did our morning after brunch. Another special thing about the venue was the stone ruins area where we held our after-party. We had the venue set up fire pits and votive candles in the stone walls, and it was a really fun and beautiful way to end the night. In addition, the chair factory is perfect for a reception (we had ~160 people) with two beautiful bars (one upstairs and one downstairs) and plenty of room for dancing. Carol, the owner of the venue, made us feel right at home and so welcomed and taken care of the entire weekend. Everything was top notch at the venue, and the surrounding area is truly breathtaking. We had multiple wedding guests tell us it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever been to. And since we had the venue for the entire weekend we had total freedom and so many choices of where to do our ceremony (we did it at Deere Pond at golden hour in front of the pond and willow trees - beautiful!), reception, first look, etc. I can't rave about it enough, and we could not recommend this venue more, especially to couples looking for a venue that's elegant and surrounded by natural beauty. We are so thrilled we chose it for our wedding weekend!

We are so thrilled that we discovered the Historic Barns of Nipmoose for our October wedding. From our first interaction with Connie, the venue manager, it was clear that this was a special place and a team that puts immense care into the work that they do, and after visiting and seeing the grounds, we were enchanted. We felt really supported as we went through the wedding planning process and were so happy with the end result. Our guests could not stop raving about the natural beauty and charm of the barns -- we totally agree and are so happy that we got to celebrate our wedding at the Barns!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at Windham Manor in the fall! The property is stunning, and the views are gorgeous, especially in the early autumn. We got married in the Enchanted Forest, had cocktail hour on the lawn, and our reception in the barn. Everything flowed seamlessly and with ~110 guests, the layout was perfect. Although Windham is a small town, it’s easy for guests to find places to stay and things to explore. We did our rehearsal dinner in town and hosted our Sunday brunch at the on-site house. Susan and Barry were wonderful, checking in with us and giving us time to settle in on Thursday. They also offered a variety of decor items such as candles, vases, runners, etc., which made setting up our reception easy and stress-free. We stayed with our wedding party at the house onsite and this really helped make our weekend extra special. We loved having our wedding party with us to hang out and catch up, and to facilitate our after party. Our house manager, Karen, was incredible. She was extremely thoughtful, attentive, and always anticipating what we needed. She checked in throughout the day with even small things like water, coffee, or food. She helped the weekend feel calm and effortless. From the moment we first visited, we knew Windham Manor was our number one choice and it did not disappoint!

We had an amazing experience at The Sablewood! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and made for the most stunning backdrop for our wedding day. We are so grateful to Lisa for her organization and support throughout the planning process and on the day. We were able to truly relax and enjoy every moment knowing everything was taken care of. We highly recommend The Sablewood!

Besides the fact that this venue is gorgeous, offers unlimited housing combinations to satisfy the wedding families and to keep them close, and many spaces to customize the wedding of your dream, the people who created this space are truly amazing to work with. From first reach out to touring the space to the on site team for the weekend, it made planning and executing a wedding an absolute dream. I wish I could relive every moment, even the planning!! Just go for it with these folks. The best people and place.

We are so happy that we went with Locust Hill for our wedding. The venue was absolutely beautiful, and a perfect location for people to attend either from the NYC area coming upstate, or those coming from the Albany/Hudson Valley area. The venue is easy to access, and there is no confusion as to how to get there. Lauren, the coordinator is fantastic to work with and provided helpful insight and her time to us throughout the entire process. The greenery in the summer at the barn is so beautiful, and they now have a beautiful patio that you can have your cocktail hour at. They have a prep kitchen as well that many caterers will appreciate. We loved working with them from the start and are so grateful for their involvement in our special day!

A total hidden gem — we’re still dreaming about it! We stumbled upon The Promise Gardens online while searching for Lake George wedding venues, and despite never having heard of it before, the moment I stepped onto the property (in the middle of winter, no less), I just knew — this was the one. And once wedding season rolled around? It was even more magical than we imagined. The venue is absolutely stunning. You get everything that makes the Adirondacks so special all in one place — so close to Lake George, gorgeous mountains as your backdrop, dreamy barns, and hydrangeas everywhere. Our guests were blown away — we heard over and over, “Wait, how did you find this place?!” Beyond the beauty, the way the venue flows is so thoughtful — there’s a perfect, natural progression from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to dancing, each in its own unique space. It makes the entire night feel exciting and seamless. Terri, the owner, clearly pours so much love into the property. She and her team were kind, responsive, and genuinely lovely to work with from start to finish. You can tell she cares deeply — not just about the land, but about the couples who get married there. And from what we saw, it just keeps getting better every year. We highly recommend The Promise Gardens — for the views, the vibe, the amazing team, and the way it makes you feel like you’ve found your own private piece of Adirondack heaven. Honestly, we wish we could get married there every year.

We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding day. From the detail that went into the design of the barn (lanterns, glass door/wall that opens) all the way down to the furniture (chairs, tables, bridal suite design), the character and charm is unmatched. The landscaping around the entire place was also breathtaking, perfectly curated for our wedding. The cabin next to the venue was very convenient, we used it for hair and makeup. Overall, absolutely stunning to hold your special day. Leonie and Elena were beyond helpful every step of the way including the day of the wedding, very flexible and accommodating people. 10/10 recommend!!!
