We recently hosted our wedding reception in the Topaz 2 room at the Renaissance Downtown Reno Hotel, and I cannot recommend this venue highly enough! From the very beginning, Rebecca Moralez, the catering/events manager, was incredibly helpful and attentive. She patiently answered all of my questions leading up to our big day, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. Her professionalism and warmth made us feel confident that everything would go perfectly—and it did! The Topaz 2 room itself is stunning. It’s modern, spacious, and exudes an elegant vibe that instantly elevated our event. The décor and ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration, and our guests were just as impressed as we were. The food was another highlight. Every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and received rave reviews from all our guests. It truly made our reception memorable. Overall, the Renaissance Downtown Reno Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a venue for your next event, I highly recommend this hotel—especially with Rebecca Moralez guiding you through the process. Thank you to the entire team for making our special day absolutely perfect!

We could hardly be more pleased with how our late-August wedding at PlumpJack Inn turned out. There are so many things to highlight, from the natural beauty of the ceremony site to the convenience of Palisades Olympic Village, but the real highlight was the PlumpJack staff. Rob and Sarah on the events team were flexible, responsive, and accommodating. Taryn and Michelle at the front desk were huge hits with our guests. And the real stars of the show, the banquet team and kitchen. They went above and beyond to accommodate a handful of dietary restrictions amongst our guests, and nearly everyone remarked that the food was among the best they'd ever had at a wedding. We'd second that for sure! Everything at PlumpJack is sort of a “quintessential mountain lodge” – which means it is minimalist and a bit dated, if we’re really being honest. But that’s true of most everything on the Tahoe North Shore, and really is sort of the point of the place entirely! With some investment in florals and reception rentals, we were able to take this naturally incredible venue and build off it beautifully to craft a wonderful night for us and our guests.

The Ridge was an absolutely lovely place to get married. We looked at several other places in Tahoe, but nothing compared to the Ridge. The fact that they provide you with a list of vendors to choose from and provide a coordinator makes wedding planning so much less daunting. We got our first choices from our list of vendors and they were all INCREDIBLE. The location is beautiful. It was so nice being able to have all of our guests stay on property at a very affordable rate. The food was wonderful. Our coordinator Katie helped us so much throughout the whole process and always answered my endless list of questions. We highly recommend The Ridge for your wedding.

We were one of the first weddings in the Scandinavian tents at Royal Gorge, and even though they had never done it before, they really delivered and created a magical experience for us and our guests. Aside from the wedding day, Sugar Bowl really has a lot to offer in terms of: play day at Lake Mary, Lake Mary as a rehearsal dinner location, on-site lodging + bar + breakfast and the wedding venue of course. We were able to create a superb weekend experience for ourselves and our guests and everyone had a blast the whole time. The venue locations are unbeatable in terms of their privacy and scenery, you truly have the whole thing to yourself. I can't say enough how Sugar Bowl and their staff is so accomodating and flexible, and the value they deliver really beats your expectations. They really put in so much effort to making your day go as well as possible and stay on top of the details. We were happily surprised by the really high level of food and beverage that was delivered. Coming from the Bay Area, we had pretty high standards, and they were definitely met. This is no standard wedding food - our meals were full of fresh seasonal produce and packed with flavor, and the drinks did not disappoint either. All of our guests raved about the food and drinks, along with the overall experience. Can't recommend these guys enough in terms of the hospitality they offer, attention to detail, and value for your money. Doing a wedding with Sugar Bowl really feels like it can be curated to you and the experience you are looking for, and feels a lot like a family and not at all corporate.

We planned our wedding from the other side of the country and booked the Double Eagle sight unseen! It was a leap of faith, but Brooke and her team were so accommodating in sending us videos of the property and answering every little question we could think of. The professionalism and support made us feel comfortable enough to pursue our dream of getting married in the Sierras! That support continued throughout the whole process and the wedding itself. Many of our guests stayed onsite in either cabins or lodge rooms and they all had wonderful things to say about their stay.

Resort at Squaw Creek, We just would like to give a HUGE shoutout for hosting our wedding and letting us celebrate our special day at the resort with friends and family! The resort is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and we are so happy and thankful we were able to use Squaw as a venue, especially with this being a destination wedding. Friends, family and everyone else had nothing but wonderful things to say about the resort and will be recommending the resort to anyone! What was suppose to be a fall wedding took a turn the day of and became a winter wedding! We couldn’t believe it, it snowed so much during the ceremony that it literally felt like we were in a snow globe or a hallmark movie! I want to thank your team and give everyone who helped out a big shoutout to sticking it through the little snowstorm we had on wedding day! I also would LOVE to give a HUGE shoutout to the event coordinator/event planning manager at resort at Squaw creek Aleece Rose. She did an AMAZING job and was so sweet and helped us every step of the way best she could and made sure our wedding day was perfect! We can’t thank her enough for the support, kindness and knowledge! Also, would like to thank Brett Fox (senior event sales manager) for helping us along the way and making sure things got done in order to have our special day! I was called by the Hyatt this past Monday, to officiate a wedding that evening. The event director, Mary Clay, saw an elderly couple (87 and 88 years) sitting in the lobby and just happened to stop and chat with them. She discovered that they wanted to get married and were disappointed that they could not get married because there were no wedding chapels. That's when Mary, just about ready to go home for the day, kicked in and gave me a call. I was happy to accommodate the couple and arrived at the Hyatt, to find the couple sitting in the lobby, chatting with Mary and waiting for me. Mary led us to the "Water Garden" site, where she had already placed an ice bucket with champagne and a small bouquet of flowers. During the ceremony, Mary took the time to make sure everything went smoothly, to include being the "official" photographer. She even had a black ink pen for me to sign the marriage license (but I always carry my own). High five kudos to Mary Clay at the Hyatt for what I would call "above and beyond" service.

Planning a multi-day Indian wedding is challenging, but planning a destination Indian wedding in Tahoe came with an incredible number of benefits and challenges. Somehow, the wedding and event coordination team at Palisades managed to take on 200 out-of-town guests and 3 days of events and turn it into the best weekend of our lives! From the attentive guest experience for our friends and family staying on-site to curating a brand new Indian fusion menu for our mountaintop Sangeet, Mercedes and her team went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Our guests are still talking about how incredible our locations were (Sangeet at High Camp, Ceremony in front of Olympic Valley Lodge and Reception inside the lodge) and I still can't believe how lucky we were to find our dream venue. Every single person we worked with went out of their way to work with us and our families and did it with the most positive, professional and proactive mentality that made us feel so comfortable and excited. Choose Palisades and I guarantee you'll have the best possible guest experience and scenery for your big day!

From day one, Chelsea at The Landing was absolutely incredible. Throughout the entire planning process, we formed such a close relationship with her—she was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding everything we dreamed it would be. Every planning call felt like talking to a friend who just got it. On the wedding day itself, Chelsea worked hand-in-hand with our planner to make sure everything ran smoothly—even when a surprise hailstorm tried to throw things off. She was working her butt off behind the scenes, stepping in every way she could to support transitions, guide vendors, and keep things flowing seamlessly. She stayed all the way through the end of the night, making sure every detail was perfect and that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. On top of her incredible coordination, Chelsea made the experience deeply personal. She surprised my dad and husband with bottles of their favorite liquor—just because she remembered me mentioning it. She gifted us a custom frame with our wedding date, a ring box, and personalized pillowcases. She truly thought of everything, and our entire week-long stay at The Landing felt like a dream because of her care and attention. The food was incredible, the views were completely unmatched, and the bartenders and setup crew were fantastic. Every part of the experience exceeded our expectations. We’re already planning future trips back to beautiful Tahoe just to relive a piece of the magic. They will forever be a part of our story.
