The Islander was the perfect spot for our wedding! We got married on 10/19 and had our ceremony and reception outdoors. We had the most perfect day from start to finish. Our hotel planner, Carol was amazing! She was so helpful and accommodating. Having a destination wedding was stressful but she helped keep me at ease with her expertise and guidance. The staff at the bar were so great and Prestige Catering was also amazing! Such great food and people! We would recommend them to anyone. Can’t wait to come back soon for another mini getaway in my new favorite spot. Thank you!

Shell Island Resort was an absolute dream venue for our wedding in August 2025! From the very beginning, Meredith, the Director of Sales, was incredible to work with. She was helpful, communicative, accommodating, and truly made the entire year of planning feel smooth, organized, and even enjoyable. No detail was overlooked, and she made sure everything came together perfectly for our big day. We had our ceremony right on the beach, which was breathtaking, and our reception hosted 150 guests comfortably and beautifully. The team decorated both the outdoor ceremony space and the indoor reception beautifully. They offered so many décor options to choose from, which made it easy to bring our vision to life while still feeling personalized and unique to us. Everything was set up flawlessly, and the spaces looked absolutely stunning. The recommended vendors were also amazing—each one professional, reliable, and fantastic to work with. It was clear that Shell Island has strong partnerships with vendors who genuinely care about making weddings special. The bartenders deserve a special shoutout as well! They were incredibly friendly, fun, and kept the energy high all night. They made sure we, our family, and our friends were served quickly, and somehow they always remembered everyone’s drink orders—which honestly blew my mind, especially with 150 guests! They played a huge role in keeping the celebration flowing smoothly and making sure everyone had a great time. One thing we especially appreciated was the solid backup plan for inclement weather. Even though our day was beautiful, it gave us such peace of mind knowing the team had everything covered. Meredith and the entire Shell Island team maintained the most welcoming, positive, and relaxed attitudes throughout the entire process. Their calm confidence made all the difference and allowed us to truly enjoy both the planning and the wedding day itself. If you’re considering Shell Island Resort for your wedding, I cannot recommend it enough. They made our wedding day absolutely perfect, and we are so grateful for the unforgettable experience they created for us and our guests.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner and wedding at the Beaufort Hotel, and it was absolutely perfect! Everything went so smoothly. The food and drinks were delicious and the staff was wonderful. The water views were absolutely gorgeous and made such a beautiful backdrop for the whole weekend. It was so nice to be able to give guests the option to stay on site so that no travel was needed. Our guests loved every moment, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We’re so grateful to the team at the Beaufort Hotel for making our wedding so special!

We choose River Dunes for our venue for multiple reasons. One is because it is absolutely amazing there. The staff were great and took care of us completely. The food was outstanding. We rented out the cottages that they have available next to the chapel. Literally all of our guests had an great time and couldn't get enough of River Dunes. They made sure everything was how we wanted it. Great place for a wedding.

From the moment we chose Aloft Wilmington at Coastline Center for our wedding venue, we knew we had made the perfect choice. The venue itself is nothing short of amazing, offering a blend of elegant space that was both inviting and mesmerizing. It served as the ideal backdrop for our special day, providing us and our guests with memories we will cherish forever. We opted for both the Atlantic Room and Platform Room, eliminating the need for a room flip and allowing guests to simply walk through a door to transition from the ceremony to the reception. Additionally, its proximity to the downtown Riverwalk made for stunning bridal and group photos. Not only was the space itself remarkable, featuring brick walls and tall windows that allowed for lots of natural light, but the food and service were equally impressive. The catering provided by Aloft Wilmington was exceptional, with everything being a hit among our guests. From hors d'oeuvres to entrees and sides, even a selection of desserts beyond just our wedding cake that we were not expecting but was a delightful surprise. The dessert selection included carrot cake that was to die for, heart-shaped brownies with powdered sugar, and much more. The variety and quality of the food exceeded our expectations, clearly showing the care and expertise that went into each item prepared. Did I mention the exceptional effort put into our wedding cake? Delivered as a plain white 3-tier cake from Sam’s Club, it was the venue staff who offered to use extra flowers to enhance its appearance. Remarkably, they took this initiative even though the cake was not prepared in-house, a gesture they were under no obligation to make. The transformation exceeded anything I could have ever imagined. I was truly blown away by the outcome, a testament to their exceeding expectations! The bartending service was another highlight of the evening. No one had to wait long at the bar, thanks to the efficient and friendly staff who made sure everyone was served quickly and with a smile. This attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction was a common theme throughout the evening. What set Aloft Wilmington apart even further was the incredible staff. Everyone was very attentive to us and our guests. They went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding ran smoothly and that every need was met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Aloft Wilmington also demonstrated great flexibility and understanding by allowing us to drop off items the Friday before our wedding and pick them up the Sunday after. This gesture greatly alleviated our stress and allowed us to focus on enjoying our weekend without worrying about logistics. Choosing Aloft Wilmington at Coastline Center as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made. The amazing space, delicious food, impeccable service, and attentive staff made our wedding day truly unforgettable. We cannot thank them enough for their dedication and for playing such a pivotal role in making our wedding celebration a resounding success.

128 South was the venue of our dreams! The level of care, attention to detail and professionalism was unmatched. This was seriously the best day ever and that was thanks to 128! HIGHLY recommend!!

I am SO happy that we decided on Hotel Ballast for our ceremony and reception venue. The wedding packages they provide, you cannot beat! Literally everything you need to make a ceremony and reception happen, is included in their packages. I can't even imagine having to find and hire each individual vendor ourselves; they do all that work for you, and that was a huge load off our shoulders. We went with the Amethyst package and had an open bar for 3 hours. We had so many of our guest come up to us and tell us how stunning the venue is, how amazing the food was, how beautiful the decor is, etc. Karen was our wedding coordinator and she was so helpful and kind during each and every step of our planning! Both the ceremony and reception were held indoors; she ensured that the chairs during the ceremony and the tables during the reception were socially distanced. Highly recommend this hotel as a venue, and ask for Karen!
