Wedding Venues in Richmond

Was researching in Virginia the best wedding venue, April 2024 and came across this venue. Went to the venue that spring, and literally fell in love with the modernism look but just how beautiful everything was… From the landscape…… To its views… And literally just a venue was clean and modern looking. The team that works, there was amazing to work with. We are gay male couple, and one of the hesitations was just this political climate of being refused services. This venue not only respects us, but made our wedding day perfect. They responded to our communications right away and made everything happen. No complaints at all no feedback for them to improve… Just amazing all around. Worth every penny. Literally the best wedding venue in town… Do not waste your time going to the Jefferson Hotel or Main Street station wedding venue… This is literally the best venue in Virginia. Our wedding was on March 29, 2025.

The Jefferson is a gorgeous hotel and the guests that were able to stay there had a wonderful experience. They sent champagne and chocolate strawberries to our room on the wedding night and made every accommodation for dietary restrictions at my bridal luncheon in the library. Our only complaint is that we were told it would be easy to add rooms to our block as needed but the hotel was fully booked 6 months in advance and many guests struggled to find accommodations on a very busy weekend in Richmond.

Common House was an absolutely perfect venue for us. We chose it because of the multiple beautiful spaces, responsive team members, and all-inclusiveness that simplified some planning on our side. None of those things disappointed. We hosted a two-day event and used several of Common House's spaces. Each room is so well-curated that minimal decor is needed to make it perfect. Alize was incredibly helpful and always there to answer our many questions (despite the fact that we were asking some of them over a year in advance). As the event date got closer, she was so on top of every detail. If we sent an email with 10 questions, she would answer them all line by line. Weeks later, our friends and family are still raving about how incredible all of the food was and how kind and attentive the staff were. Several guests had some specific dietary needs, and they were extremely accommodating. We also had a some guests who don't drink, and the bar was prepared with non-alcoholic beer and an incredibly tasty lemonade option that could be enjoyed standalone or as a mixer.

What an amazing evening!!! On 11/01/25 My son and daughter-in-law had a beautiful Micro-Wedding off-site at a nearby Historic Garden and Park followed by the perfect reception in The Harbourmaster Suite at The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing. The views from the Harbourmaster Suite were amazing and the atmosphere was quite cozy and comfortable. Alli Prato was their On-Site Event Coordinator, Jacob and Derek were the Staff Captains that took care of everything throughout the reception, and everyone did a fantastic job. We met Alli when we first visited The Boathouse to take a peek at the event space and she also worked with us during the planning phase. She was phenomenal. She was very prompt and responsive along the way as me bombarded her with questions throughout the process. She covered everything right down to the last detail. She offered suggestions and ideas that made everything perfect for them. The food was delicious, and everyone raved about the crab cakes and the beef that they chose as menu selections. They thoroughly enjoyed both the food and drinks. Jacob and Derek were amazing – from setup, to waiting on everyone throughout the night, to the wrap up stages, at the end of the evening and they also kept us abreast as the evening progressed. Our wedding reception at the Omni Richmond Hotel was absolutely perfect. The staff was incredible and attentive to our every need. From the venue tour over one year ago to our wedding day on 10/25/2025, the Omni staff made us feel so supported and stress free. Our family and friends are still raving about the reception - the food was incredible, the staff was kind, and the venue was beautiful. We could not have imagined a more perfect place to have our wedding reception.

I cannot speak highly enough about the Richmond Marriott staff—they did an outstanding job and even exceeded our expectations. My bridesmaids, mom, and me got ready for the day in a holding room downstairs, and the hotel staff provided breakfast pastries and mimosas, in addition to sandwiches prior to the wedding in the afternoon (we requested these things and received a quote without any issue!). There was plenty of space to get ready with 8 bridesmaids. The staff is so responsive—we didn’t hire a wedding planner so my mom had a ton of questions in the few months leading up to the big day, and every question was promptly answered with great detail. The food was delicious, and the cocktail hour hallway and reception ballroom were such classy and elegant areas to host guests. All of our guests were so impressed by the Richmond Marriott—some even said this was the smoothest wedding they’d ever attended. It’s hard to put into words the amazing job that the Richmond Marriott staff did, but I 100% recommend this venue to everyone without hesitation. You can’t go wrong with this hotel and it’s hardworking staff! You will be in the best hands.

Growing up I always knew I wanted to get married at Main Street Station! When we walked in, we immediately fell in love! The Headhouse architecture is STUNNING and simply speaks for itself! Crystal, the venue manager, helped to answer our many questions and was extremely flexible and accommodative through the whole wedding process! Maria and Kaitlyn at the John Marshall Ballrooms were absolutely amazing. I was blindly planning a wedding without a coordinator until the last few weeks and they were unbelievably supportive, responsive and respectful. They listened, made suggestions and were so reassuring that everything would come together. And they were right. Our wedding day went seamlessly with almost nothing going wrong or out of place. Their attention to detail and putting things together was an impressive production. We wish the day hadn’t gone by so quickly, but it did because they made sure everything went as planned. They were so easy to work with and our day would not have been what it was without them. We are grateful we chose this venue and got to work with these two talented people. Definitely recommend as a venue for any event, weddings especially! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all these. Everything was wonderful!
