Highly recommend. Beautiful and amazing experience. Worked with Janice Morgan and she held my hand, listened, and gave great advice! The gardens were immaculate and we got lots of compliments on the venue. It really was a great and bless day!

Feel so lucky to have found Yew Dell for our big day! Not only is it a truly gorgeous and magical setting, but the staff was extremely helpful throughout. There are a variety of ways to use the space (outdoors and indoors), and they worked with us and our vendors to make sure what we envisioned was executable. Our guests loved being able to wander the grounds as well when they needed a break from the dance floor.

Yew Dell Gardens is an amazing venue. The bride and bridesmaids did their hair and makeup and dressed in the castle which makes you feel like a princess before you even put on the wedding gown. Whether you have an outdoor wedding in mind or you want to be indoors in their beautiful Gheens Barn you can't find a prettier place. The pavilion and patio were a perfect spot for our cocktail hour. We held the reception in a tent on the tent pad. It couldn't have been a more perfect venue. The grounds and facilities are spotless and everything is in convenient locations. The photographic opportunities are endless. Janice took care of us from the initial walk through when we were looking for a venue all the way through the day after the ceremony to pick up some personal items we had left behind. She is friendly and professional. She goes out of her way to make sure you are happy and all of your needs are taken care of. A beautiful place for a wedding and reception!

The venue at Yew Dell Gardens is like a fairy tale wedding. The beautiful gardens, the castle, water fountain, greenery, trees, barn, pavilion and patio make it an absolutely beautiful setting for a wedding.

We had a beautiful day on May 9, 2015. The gardens were in full bloom and all guests were impressed with the beauty of this venue. Further, the staff, and in particular Janice Morgan, go above and beyond to ensure the gardens look beautiful and that your needs are met - including having a golf cart available for guests who may need assistance to see the gardens and attend the events. I would recommend Yew Dell Botanical Gardens to anyone for their wedding or some other venue of significance.

Yew Dell was the perfect venue to have my wedding. The gardens are absolutely breath taking. Getting ready in the castle was very convenient and fun. I still get compliments on my venue all the time. There are plenty of options and places to see at this venue. Highly recommend.

Yew Dell Botanical Gardens is a dream venue to get married at. The coordinator, Janice, is fantastic to work with - empathetic and responsive to all questions. Every space is more beautiful than the next and she worked with us to change our flow through downsizing for COVID and making last minute changes in the event of rain. I'd get married 10x over here and our guests also raved about the flow through all the spaces.

While Janice and the venue are fantastic, I will say the VP of Finance is quite hard to deal with. We had several contradicting conversations about refunds related to downsizing our list and using less event space. The larger pavilion is an added expense on top of what you pay for Yew Dell. In the end it all worked out because Janice the coordinator is great but it is undue stress to have when planning a wedding during an already stressful COVID time.

Yew Dell was the perfect location for my daughter's wedding. In the middle of summer, the Kentucky heat was a possible problem but the pavilion had fans, the humidity let up and it was a perfect day. The venue is pricey but is worth it!

Absolutely no regrets going with this STUNNING venue. All the structures are beautiful and surroundings absolutely magical, our guests raved. We were able to marry on the lawn, but the rain plan (barn) was equally gorgeous. Worth the expense.

While YDBG is a stunning venue, I can't begin to express my disappointment in who they are as a business. My husband and I booked Yew Dell as our wedding venue in April 2019 for a wedding date of September 19th, 2020. Frankly, the cost was more than we wanted to spend, but I fell in love with it and knew that's where I wanted to get married-- y'all know how that goes. Also, we felt good about our money going to a local botanical garden, as this is the exact type of business we love supporting in general. However, like everyone else, our wedding plans were thrown off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ben and I opted to have a tiny wedding ceremony in our backyard in June 2020, but held out hope that it would be safe to have a larger wedding reception on our originally planned wedding day of September 19th, 2020. As time went on, it became clear that moving forward with the reception wouldn't be the right choice for us. We chose to cancel our big wedding for the sake of safety for our friends, family, and vendors in the midst of the COVID pandemic. Unfortunately, and disappointingly, Yew Dell Botanical Gardens was not forgiving of our choice to cancel. They offered absolutely NO refund, (not even half! or a quarter!) even after booking another couple's wedding in place of ours after our cancellation. Though they did offer to allow us to reschedule, we weren't interested in that choice, because who knows when it would be safe enough for our personal comfort level? We'd choose lost money over the possibility of lost friends or family ANY day, and are confident in our choice. However, we are disappointed in Yew Dell's greed and total lack of empathy. I assumed a small, local botanical garden like YD would respond kindly, and compassionately-- but I was absolutely wrong. If you do choose Yew Dell as your venue, I will say that Janice Morgan, YD's wedding coordinator, was helpful and kind. Our disappointment with YD had absolutely nothing to do with her, and everything to do with, predictably, the Director of Finance and Operations.
