Wedding Planner
Since I was flagged to repost about Unique Events by Shollah:
UEBS can attempt to justify their poor performance & services during my wedding all they want . Due to their negligence of selling me a dream of vision a they couldn’t create within my budget because they didn’t take the time to break down all areas before hand,of what it actually took to bring the vision to life. Sola began calculations after the venue was secured. Hence, why I lost $10k at Puritan Mill. Which could have been more if I didn’t leave when I did. Let’s be clear on that.
My budget for decor only was $30k for my white wedding only not for both days. Let’s make that clear as well. Originally, she and her team told me, they were able create the vision for $25k and it would look better than the video ( I have the forwarded message on file by the way ) is why everything went up in flames. Then they came back with a $50k quote. Soon as she/they realized I wasn’t going to fall for the tactics to make an extra dollar out of me, she/they didn’t care what direction my wedding was headed. My budget for my white wedding was $100k by itself! Let’s be clear on that as well. We NEVER came up with a budget for trad but a guesstimate of $30k for the white wedding provided by you and aimed for it to be possibly lower if possible which was said by me. We were already headed $80k plus just from a two day venue booking at Puritan at $32k, caterer at $20k , and decor at $30k due to your negligence of not calculating all the hidden fees that comes with using the space and everything else.
I decided to change my vision and venue with the new decorator after she dropped me within the first 30 days or less of working with me. I was in disbelief of the situation but to keep peace, moved on. Whether she knew or did not know of my vision changing with my new decorator has nothing to do with her at this point. If Sola cared to take on the job, she would have kindly found a way to let me know, maybe I should find another vision since it’s becoming out of budget. Which still would be fault on her end since she approved the vision before actual calculations and breakdowns. A confirmation that we could push through to create something new would have been nice. She NEVER once thought of a plan B to anything. She kicked every mishap to the side and moved on carelessly about the expenses that were on ground and so on.
Meanwhile, she was contracted for full planning & design! Why in the world would I want to pay $12k just to be a planner? I booked her for a reason. It’s her work I saw that attracted me to her company. Not to be passed on to the next person and still pay Sola full pricing. So she therefore breached her contract!
Just to add for clarification as well, she personally offered to take on my trad within that contracted planning and design for $12k. So before Sola tries to add that in there as some kind of justification for her poor services. I wanted to be clear. Sola didn’t design anything for my traditional wedding either. I found my own vendor and came to her with my vision and design. Which really I did for more than half of wedding. Then the vendors she did refer were all trash! What bride has to buy new bridesmaids dresses for her girls due to a trash referral from her planner ?
Why am I switching designs to make deadlines because you’re trash vendor friends yet, again couldn’t complete the vision/looks I asked for ? It was an absolute nightmare working with UEBS and all these people. A memory I’m stuck with forever!
Also, I hated the Puritan Mill from day one.

But,I was willing to work with it based off the vision and what was needed to create it. The venue was also out of budget which is why I had to leave due to her negligence once again, and careless attitude.
I brought my new venue (Southern Exchange Ballrooms) to her back in December after I attempted to book on my own before knowing her company exists but had no luck. She then attempted with your connections once I connected with her as my planner and also, had no luck. I decided to circle back around on my OWN without telling her top of March and was able to come out successful with the booking deal and moved forward with a contract.
She later brought me an awful vendor REA that she spoke so highly of. She also breached her contract and refused to return my money after having to leave Puritan Mill cause of the cost. Again, Sola’s fault for not enforcing her own contract that stated I could get my refund of at least $4k out of the $5k that was given to her. She carelessly let her go! Who does that ?! I should have never had to compromise using anywhere after I left Puritan Mill. Then when I did, her attitude was appalling and I wanted nothing to do with her.
The success of my wedding has nothing to do with you Sola and her company. Luckily, my job was flexible to create time, day and night to hand hold everyone on her team and her through the process to get through and make it what it was.
Although, there were still errors that occurred such as the violinist not playing as it was her duty to make sure he was where he needed to be etc. I was unable to get pictures in the ballroom with bridal party as they were lost on instructions on what to do once they arrived to the venue. Meanwhile, Sola had assistants on duty that could have been contacted to meet the bridal party somewhere as the timeline stated or just common sense. She telling them to stay on the bus was ridiculous ,when we were using that as a shuttle for guests to get back and forth from the church to the venue! So the bus driver had them get off. Sola knew we had that going on so I’m not sure why that as an option? Again, negligence and carelessness.
Also, the fact a black table came out to the stage in my white decorated ballroom as dinner was being served, was actually insane to me. We created a timeline to eat behind the scenes upstairs. Not exactly sure why that didn’t happen to this day. We had more than enough time to do so. The mirror dancer that was suppose to be a man on stilts but because your team continues to screw up simple instructions such as confirming a booking. I had a female dancer with no stilts. ( I have receipts of the wrong confirmation for the record )
Again, Sola’s job was to enforce the timeline and make sure that was taken care of. She had ONE job! She continuously, wanted me to accept error and I didn’t have to!
I should have fired UEBS when EVERYONE told me too but I didn’t listen because I didn’t want to loose my investment I already made.
At the end of the day, customer is always right! A paying customer at that.

Keeping in mind your budget of $100,000 for a two-day celebration with 400 guests on day 1 and 500 on day 2, I recommended an industrial-style venue that aligned with your financial plan. It's worth noting that your guest count significantly expanded to approximately 500 on the first day and 600+ on the second day.
I'd like to remind you that you introduced the option of Puritan Mills on December 26, 2022. Throughout our wedding planning journey, there were changes in your preferences, and you ultimately shifted from considering Puritan Mills to choosing Southern Exchange, which was one of our initial proposals. Additionally, the situation with REA arose when you decided to part ways with her a week and a half before the wedding due to communication challenges during her holiday period. While I was the one who initially referred REA to you, it's important to clarify that your decision to work with her was influenced by multiple referrals from others in the industry who recognized her exceptional work.
I'm pleased that both days of your wedding turned out successfully. Our team dedicated no less than 50 hours per week to meticulously plan your event, even accommodating your inquiries during unconventional hours and weekends while simultaneously serving our other clients.
I want to wish you the utmost success in your Wedding Planning business. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have collaborated on your wedding, and I extend my appreciation for the experience of working alongside a bride like yourself.
