    All-around Wonderful

Jay, Ashley, Leigh, Curtea, and Tequila were all so helpful in making my daughters day special. Set your worries aside, they'll take good care of you!

Tripp Farms was amazing in every aspect of our wedding day! They accommodated is at all times, whether we had questions or just wanted to go look at the venue for ideas! The day of my wedding was hectic, as I'm sure most are, however, the staff helped in every way possible to make our day as perfect as possible! We had an amazing day and it was more than I could have ever imagined!

    love, love, love
Perfect venue for outside wedding with so many options on property of where to hold ceremony. Also able to ho.d reception inside. So I was able to have outside wedding and walk over to reception hall. This was perfect just in case weather the came an issue.
The Tripp family was amazing. Definitely recommend hiring Leigh as bartender, and Ashley as planner. They were on the ball. Great personalities and quick response time with any questions. The whole family made mine and my husbands day perfect.
Wouldn't have a changed a thing with this venue or the people helping.

During our planning process, we had a few issues pop up, especially around catering because Tripp requires you to have the tables bused and the plates scraped. There are a LOT of venders that will not even consider doing this. We called them hoping that they would have a suggestion and Jay told us exactly who to call, we booked them, and the food and service was amazing. Ashley, the wedding coordinator, does a pretty good job of answering questions through the Facebook direct messages, however, sometimes she is not so good with giving you what she promised. I asked her months in advance to send me pictures of the doors the bride enters through and although I went for my 2 week consultation and saw them in person (unfinished), I never did receive the photos I was promised. The night before our wedding, we had our rehearsal dinner in the barn and there was a terrible thunder storm with very heavy rain. The barn roof leaked in some places, on the floor as well as on some of the tables/plates/tablecloths. I called Ashley the morning of my wedding to inform her of the situation and tell her that it needed to be cleaned up and when my mom arrived she was assured that it had been. When she went into the barn, there were still plates with standing water in them. Upon addressing Ashley, she got an attitude with my mom and told her they must have missed it and it would be taken care of. The wedding and reception were beautiful, however and if it doesn't rain and you can find a caterer you'll be just fine. Ashley was probably our biggest problem. I can say that Jay did come to our wedding and stay the majority of the time. He wasn't in holy or grass stained clothes, but was in a yellow polo type shirt. He stayed to the side along with Ashley and his wife. They were all invited to eat with us, and they did but not until after all our guests had left and we were cleaning up. Also, a few things got left at the barn and they have been helpful in gathering them for us to pick up.

Great "barn" atmosphere for the Greenville area. You really can't go wrong with the price that they charge you. It's very convenient to get ready, have your ceremony and reception all in one location. The Cox family is very laid back and pretty open to any ideas we had. I would say that their laid back demeanor can hurt you if you are looking for a venue that will hold your hand throughout the wedding planning process. There were definitely things I (as a first time bride) didn't know about and I don't feel that Tripp Farms guided me through them such as set up, seating, etc. The property is beautiful and I'm sure with the more weddings that they conduct the better they will become! Overall great venue for the money you pay and a family that will be involved the during the afternoon/night of your wedding.

    Beautiful but no

Beautiful venue. We had an outdoor ceremony with the reception in the barn. Mr. Cox was very helpful, informative, and accommodating before the wedding. The price was right. The wedding coordinator, that you have to hire for $200 dollars, had me nervous to start with but turned out ok. She cancelled several meetings, and the mandatory two week checklist meeting happened 5 days before the wedding. Wedding day she was great and worked well with our coordinator.

Wedding day Mr. Cox became a different person. When my florist arrived, he was mowing the grass. Grass and dirt were blowing in the barn onto the tables that were already set. My florist cleaned it all up. He was rude to the point of ugly to my caterer and her crew. One of them went outside and found him on the phone bashing them to someone. The ceiling was open over the place where the food was to go and there was insulation over the food. There is no sink and only 2 receptacles. The caterers have to buss the tables, scrape the plates, and put them in a rack. He hung around the reception in shorts and a dirty tshirt. He ate our food and drank our alcohol. He hung with the DJ so she didn’t do the entertaining she had told us she would do. I felt like we were being pushed to get out even though we had the barn until 10 pm. He did let us know we had left a couple of extension cords and we appreciated that.

If I had known, I would have picked another venue. It’s a beautiful place, but the stress he added to wedding day and his presence at the reception were unacceptable. There are a lot of beautiful places without the headaches.

When working with Tripp Farms they were very helpful in planning the event. They did respond to contact, and they seemed very friendly and flexible. We held both our ceremony and our reception in the barn. However, during the actual event, some of the staff behaved extremely unprofessionally. (Cutting grass, wearing sweaty lawn clothing, and refusing to allow guests entrance.) Considering that we were paying for the event, I expected them to address any issues in a respectful manner. However, the staff was extremely rude to us and the guests. I would not recommend this venue to another couple.
