    Last semester savior

    I was referred to her from a friend that used her off of weddingwire previously (Sam). I was trying to finish up my last semester of school and she pretty much planned and executed it by me telling her and sending her some photos to get an idea of what I was looking for. The day off we had some bumps (bra straps showing, too long of dresses and a few others) but she took it in stride and managed to calm me down and fixed the little problems with her bag of tricks. Couldn't thank the ladies at The Whippoorwill for the day. Pictures to follow when the photographer gets them finished

    Couldn't have asked for better

    Rhonda and Kristyan are the best! They will do as much or as little as you want them to. They did everything and I mean everything for our wedding and it turned out beautifully! I couldn't have asked for better people to have created our dream. They are angels.

    These ladies went above and beyond what we asked for. They greeted our guest and the owner even made sure to keep an eye on my 90 yr old grandfather throughout the night! Even though people later told me there were some issues I never knew it because they took care of it without making me even more stressed

    Last minute crisis/change of venue

    Well what can I say except I hope I never have to do that again because it was stressful. I just wanted to use the venue nothing else, I was under the impression my family was going to help. Well along the way less and less wanted to help. I had to call her back and ask for more help. Which they did without any issues. Then I got the call that the venue was being sold and I thought I was going to die it was only a few months before our wedding and now no venue. I didn't know what to do! Rhonda said she knew it was devastating but she had a plan. She did we looked and 2 places and she made arrangements for the venue and paid the difference. Then night of rehearsal came and I brought my decorations and it wasn't near enough to fill the space, once again Rhonda said no problem, don't worry. Of course that's what I did all night and day till it was time to go to the venue. When I walked in I was stunned. There were decorations and signs and stuff everywhere that needed to be. Throughout the wedding she and her partner worked serving food, picking up garbage, cleaning up so by the end there was little for us to have to do. No this venue wasn't our first choice but Rhonda created what we were looking for right there. It was freezing cold that day too so the indoor place was way better than the barn we had originally planned on.

    Not what was planned

    It didn't go as planned. Our first venue was sold and we had to go with a different location. I was not happy but I know what happened and I just wanted to make sure my wife had what she wanted. It's a second wedding for me but a first for her. The Whippoorwill ladies went out of their way to give us options and in the end we let them choose which they thought was best for what we wanted. Even with the change it was just awesome. All we did was show up and smile for the camera, walk down the aisle and read our vows. Oh btw I forgot mine but luckily Rhonda seems to be prepared for just about anything she had some I could say on her phone and while I was still in trouble it worked out in the end. My wife was excited that they did judge her or act like it shouldn't be done like that. They took her black wedding idea and brought it to life. For all that they did we appreciate them. Oh yeah if you want to get a kick out of something have the photo lady talk best southern accent ever! My wife also bought her dress from them.

    Goes above and beyond

    We were married at the Whippoorwill and we came from out of town along with most of our families. Sometimes it was hard getting in touch with Rhonda but we realized how much she really works. When we came down for rehearsal we decided to do it earlier than planned and she made a point to be there earlier than she was supposed to be, granted she was in scrubs and looked frazzeld. She and Kristyan did an amazing job. When there was a possibility of rain they had a backup plan, when we forgot something Rhonda pulled it out of her bag, even though it was hot, they made sure everything went off as it should. They even dealt well with all my family drama and who couldn't sit next to who. I was scared picking a place when I wasn't there to see it but in the end my husband and I couldn't have asked for more!

    lied to, dazed and confused

    signed contract for barn/ country motif which was located on outer skirts of Brewton. 6 months prior to wedding I discover through social media not personal contact, that I no longer could have that themed wedding through Whippoorwill due to: 1st excuse ...a fire?
    2nd excuse: venue had been sold out from under the business. Then I try almost in vain to contact co-owner Ms. Rhonda Longenecker. finally she returns my multitude of frantic emails and 100's of phone calls with a story of her father, and having to pull the plug on his life support. To which I was at first felt very bad for calling and being so frantic, poor woman lost her father... but then my sister jerked me back into reality! Could this be yet another lie?
    1. 1st, there are supposed to be several owners, one of them could have just as easily returned my call since it was concerning the One OF the MOST IMPORTANT DAYs of my life.
    2. I am a paying customer with a legal binding contract.
    Finally, Lying to a customer is not something to take kindly to, especially when they are supposed to handling every aspect of your important day!!! What other lies will be exposed on the wedding day? Will I pay $3000.00 and have the worst day of our lives ?
    Scared and confused, I've requested my funds returned, Mrs. Longenecker has said she would send me a money order. It has been 3 months since her last contact and I have had to purchase another venue, my funds have yet to be returned to me. It is now on the cusp of JUNE, my wedding day is 2 months away!! I cant get ahold of anyone! Have looked into legal recourse. Don't be snookered into the same deal as I fell for. Take your heels and run as fast as you can in the other direction. I will continue to write these recommendations until I receive my funds returned!!!!

    update to Lied to, dazed, confused...august wedding 2019

    Update: still no money order, no refund, still no contact through text message/ from Rhonda. Have sent letters , as well as certified letters. All have been returned. refused/ or vacant. Read on here that she has assisted in several wedding in the last couple of months. Yet, My daughter can't get her refund of $764.00.
    Adrian's wedding is coming up quick and she still hasn't received her refund from The Whippoorwill.
    Rhonda you told her 2 months ago that you put her refund in the mail. She has yet to receive that. You know She haven't received it, because you didn't actually mail it!
    Her wedding is less than 3 months away and she needs her money!
    I am tired and she is frustrated of being lied to. Adrian is tired of looking for different ways to contact you.

    whippoorwill business page/ still NO response
    Can you even imagine what you have caused in havoc? Running to find another venue in time for her wedding?
    Having to take the rest of the funds that were to go to you and pay another venue... hoping that she get her $ back from you to finish paying it off! I spoke to my daughter today, bless her heart she is contemplating putting off her wedding because of YOU!!!! I wont have that!!!!!
    Can you imagine having to put YOUR wedding off Again, due to YOU... the vender keeping money that does NOT belong to you. You broke this contract NOT HER. I saw the venue you wanted to put her in. A burnt out shell of a building with the outside venue being behind a huge orange trash container, beside a rusted out fire escape above her. How was that going to be beautiful?


    Then you again moved from there to a house. How can a business continue to exist in this manner. How many other brides have you ripped off? How many other dream weddings have you dashed with your lies?
    Have no doubt, her family has pulled this together for her and she will still have the most magnificent wedding at Saga Springs Manor, no thanks to YOU Rhonda. But this is not the end, She will get her $ back. Don't make me take the next step of legal actions against you. Get her refund to her ASAP.
