    West Point Club Wedding

The West Point Club provides an amazing Wedding Venue. Their standard price included all catering, an open bar, cocktail hour, and wedding cake. They provided utensils for cake cutting, and champagne flutes as well. They provided everything we needed for a reception besides a DJ, photographer, center pieces, party favors, and guests. The day of, we were assigned a matradee as well that coordinated the timeline with the DJ. We provided very little detail and they took care of the rest. The night was amazing and everything ran smoothly. I would highly recommend this venue for an elegant and worry free wedding. We had our reception in the grand ballroom. The view of the Hudson was amazing and the room was very well decorated and beautiful.

This place makes receptions look amazing. The Grand Ballroom is breathtaking, except for the color of the carpet(black and red!) which I had to constantly remind myself to overlook. The windows are 100 feet long over looking the Hudson River and there are three floors of rooms to choose from. Your guests will think you've spend $100,000. The food was incredible and the service so professional. Really an excellent deal for your money.

    Incredible

We had the absolute wedding of our dreams at this breathtaking venue. Someone ended up canceling on their venue and signing a contract with WPC after seeing photos from our wedding. Everything was stress free when planning and set up to perfection on the day of. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything we requested was hand selected to reflect who we are as a couple and the things we enjoy. There was never a question if something could be done.

We took photos at the Great Chain by Trophy Point, which was just a short drive from the venue. It was a perfect day. The only hassle we had was getting everyone in attendance guest passes and then the distribution of them. If you can stay organized, it is no problem though. It is worth the extra effort to have this amazing venue. We would do it all over again!

The renovations that were just completed (Sept 2018) are amazing! The ballroom is gorgeous. The food was absolutely amazing. Pricing was competitive with a dozen other venues in the areas- but there is no sales tax which is awesome. The sales and service teams were very hospitable and friendly. Just a little slow to respond and I had to ask a lot of questions to figure out what to do with everything and how.

We had the rehearsal dinner at the 1949 Lodge (catered by WPC) which was PERFECT. Highly recommend. It was simple because it is on the same campus and you have the same catering contact.

My husband and I had our reception in the Pierce Room at the West Point Club on April 30th, 2016 after our ceremony at the Catholic Chapel. The room set up was absolutely gorgeous and I want to express my particular astonishment at the level of care I received from this venue in a few areas.
Catering manager - I had Samantha as my catering manager and she was the BOMB. She is the most responsive person I have ever met and had the patience of a saint when dealing with all my my nervous-bride questions. She worked with me to allow time for me to attend the Bridal Brunch and try the food options before actually deciding on my menu. My favors were perishable and she coordinated with me to bring in these items closer to the reception day in order to make sure they would be fresh. She also set up a conference call with the cook to accommodate family members with food allergies, which was a huge worry for me.
The Cook - What can I say except that he almost made me cry with how understanding he was about my family members' diet needs? He even made a special kid's meal for one of my cousins so that she could eat without worrying about reacting to something in the food. An amazingly courteous man, and the food was delicious!
The cake makers - I found a picture of a cake online that I liked very much and even though I had read that the West Point Club's bakers could recreate almost any design, I was still skeptical when I forwarded the picture to Samantha along with requests for a few alterations. The result was a gorgeous masterpiece that incorporated all of my requests and exceeded my expectations. Many of my guests have called me specifically to gush about how pretty the cake was!
The staff and room - The room arrangement was beautiful and spacious for my 110 guests. The dance floor was never empty and my guests constantly marveled at how attentive and friendly the staff was. Overall, it was a wonderful day that I will treasure forevere!

We are non-military so it was a nice surprise for us to learn we could use the West Point Club for a civilian wedding.

The West Point Club did an excellent job helping us plan and execute our wedding. We used the Hudson Room newly covered balcony for our ceremony overlooking the Hudson River and the recently re-done Hudson Room for our cocktail hour and reception.

Susan and her crew did an great job with everything and even made sure my wife and I had our favorite drinks available at the bar. Nora was great and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. The food was amazing as well as the cake. They even baked us a separate tier to take home and freeze.

I definitely recommend anyone looking in the area to put the WPC on their short list.

The Grand Ballroom is beautiful, looking out over the Hudson River area. The food is excellent, service superior. My wedding cake was made custom on site by the Pastry Chef - gorgeous! Fantastic all around!!

We were very pleased with the quality, service, and value the West Point Club provided. Early in our planning there was a lack of responsiveness to questions and concerns, but once a new management team came in, they truly could not have been more helpful. We had a perfect day!

The wedding catering turned out pretty well. The food tasted great, the cake was beautiful and tasted great. The tables were decorated nicely. The problems I had were during the planning process. The head caterer there was not very flexible. She also nickel and dimed us terribly and was extremely rude if I asked her about any of the extra costs. For example, valet service is $250 for 5 hours. We wanted it for 6 hours and she charged us $450. They she got huffy when I asked her about charging us $200 for 1 extra hour. Another issue was the amount of food. We had 100 guests, and she told us how much food to get for them; well we only ate half of what she told us we needed. But we still had to pay for all of it of course. I could give her the benefit of the doubt and say she just thought we'd eat more... but this is her job, she should be able to make accurate estimates. Not only that, but my family eats a lot! And we still had half the food left over! I think she just told us we needed more than we needed so she could make a profit on it.
Furthermore, she charges $10 per person to use real plates and silverwear; I could buy plates and silverwear for less than that!
I could go on, but in the end it was a beautiful (though expensive) reception. If you have money to spare, and don't mind agreeing with whatever Nancy (the caterer) says or getting yelled at for asking for something different, then go for it. However, if you don't mind having the reception off post, I would go with Nicole's in Highland Falls, or Lippencott Manor about 30 minutes north of West Point.
I hope you find this helpful!
