The Liberty View at Independence Visitor Center Reviews

I fell in love with The Liberty View when I attended a meeting and stood outside on the terrace at night in 2016. It was the one and only venue we considered for our wedding. Britni, the head sales/event director, has been with TLV for 10 years and is truly a legend and expert in her field.

The TLV team was responsive, kind, and caring throughout the entire planning process. We ambitiously planned for an all-outdoor wedding in mid-May, which posed challenges due to unpredictable weather and the significant effort required from the venue and catering team. Britni and our coordinator, Colleen, went above and beyond to make it happen. They provided various floor plans, scheduled week-of wedding calls, and even accommodated my last-minute request for space heaters just 24 hours before the event.

Though they typically only do this for small weddings, a model developed during COVID, having dinner and dancing outside made a world of difference. Despite the uncertainty, the rain held off, and the sun came out just in time for our cocktail hour, creating a perfect moment.

I know this required a tremendous amount of work from the TLV team, and I am incredibly grateful for their dedication and professionalism. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of, thanks to their efforts.

I can't say enough good things about my wedding experience at the liberty view. I has my ceremony and reception at the venue and still cannot believe how well it went. Guests were so impressed by the views of independence hall and old city during the ceremony on the terrace. Joy and Britni, the venue coordinators were AMAZING! They were so organized and even set up all of my decor and flowers, which looked amazing. I was very unsure as to whether I needed a day of coordinator and definitely did not. Bianca and the Brulee catering team were also awesome- the food was excellent and a very good value! Highly recommend this venue.

Britni created the most incredible wedding for my husband and I! In the middle of a pandemic, we had no idea if the wedding would even happen, and she went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely perfect. We had to have everything outside to meet Philly guidelines, but I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Our guests loved eating dinner on the terrace overlooking Independence Hall and luckily we were blessed with perfect weather. We are so thankful to have had Britni on our team!

Britni and her team at the Liberty View were phenomenal! Philadelphia was the theme of our wedding so we wanted something iconic in the backdrop of our ceremony, and what is more Philadelphia than Independence Hall?!!? We had a number of details that we wanted incorporated into the ceremony and reception (candle ceremony, rescue flats, photobooth, ice cream dessert stand, etc.) and the team made sure everything worked and flowed throughout the day. Britni worked with all of our vendors to coordinate the flow of the day and make sure we stayed on time. We were so happy we selected the Liberty View for our venue!

Liberty View is the best! Recently renovated and even more stunning outdoor space added, this venue was perfect for our ceremony spot! Even though rain kept us inside, the view was still amazing due to the huge windows that line the back side of the venue! It was the perfect backdrop and our guests were able to get outside before and after the ceremony to take pictures on the beautiful terrace decorated with flower walls when the rain slowed down. We also got great family photos from the new outdoor side terrace with the Independence Mall and Independence Hall behind us! You will not find a more competent and genuinely wonderful person to work with than Britni! SHE IS LITERALLY THE BEST! She felt like family after all of the email and phone correspondences and meetings we had (per my request), and all that she did on the day of the wedding went above and beyond and means more to me than I could ever describe. My one regret is not having our entire wedding there (we had our reception elsewhere), but it was more about having to hire Brulee Catering than anything pertaining to the Liberty View itself. You will not regret booking this space for your wedding! I'm trying to find other reasons to rent this space again soon and enjoy the outdoor terrace!

I couldn't feel luckier that I got to have my wedding at the Liberty View Ballroom. I had fallen in love with the space far before the thought of marriage had even crossed my mind... but when the time came, I knew where I wanted to go, and I couldn't feel luckier that Britni was my POC! She was calm, funny, sweet, encouraging, patient, kind, and honestly made the whole process very relaxed and a whole lot of fun. Not to mention everything went off without a hitch! I really feel like I found the perfect place for my wedding. Everything was beautiful, and the location was to-die-for, and with Britni by my side, it was a piece of lemon buttercream cake!

Nothing but impressive service so far! Britni (my contact) has been prompt responding to my emails, courteous, and extremely helpful coordinating my ceremony.

We picked the most incredible venue for our wedding on May 2, 2015! The Liberty View Ballroom at the independence visitor center was a perfect choice for medium to small and intimate wedding with a large beautiful terrace view of the liberty bell, independence mall and old city. The ballroom is a neutral palette so your decor can completely transform the room to create your dream wedding- which it did for us! We worked with Britni and she is fabulous!! So flexible, accommodating, helpful and really good at coordinating the day, working with vendors and helping us to get permits for pictures at the independence mall. They work with Brûlée Catering- fabulous food, accommodating, helpful, great service as we continue to hear this from guests. Sheralda from Brûlée is fabulous and together you have a great team on your side through the whole wedding process!! This is an amazing choice for your wedding!

We had our Hindu ceremony and reception at the Liberty View in June 2023 and we cannot recommend it enough. Together with the venue catering team at Brulee, Britni and her team made our day absolutely incredible. The view from the terraces, where we hosted our ceremony and cocktail hour, was simply breathtaking and quintessentially Philadelphia. The team nailed the setup and the ballroom looked so beautiful and the food and service were TOP NOTCH. I can't imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. If you're looking for a classic Philly venue with indoor-outdoor spaces and a first-rate planning/day-of team, this is your venue!!!!

The Liberty View was the perfect venue for my daughter and her husband's August wedding. Having an outdoor ceremony was important, and the new wrap-around balcony provided an incredible space with a great view for the ceremony, as well as another space for guests to hang out throughout the night. This perfect night was all thanks to the hard work of Britni and her staff. She anticipated all of our needs and coordinated with all of our other vendors to create a flawless evening. I cannot praise Britni and The Liberty View enough.
